His fans are roughly the Walking Dead equivalent of Edward/Jacob fans from Twilight. I like his character though, but if he does have to die, he'll have to die.
A lot of people would stop reading the comics if Rick died, but Kirkman himself has said he will eventually kill off Rick, everyone's beloved hero who's been with the entire series for quite some time. I'm not saying Daryl NEEDS to die, but if circumstances arise where he can't realistically survive, I highly doubt they won't kill him off just because of some fangirls. There's arguably more Rick fans out there than Daryl fans, or maybe an equal amount. It's not like Daryl's the only character anyone likes.
What if they fast forwarded the show at some point to +60 years because they all got over their problems and managed to live happily ever after and then daryl dies

Really? I wouldn't put Axel's death up there as one of the better deaths on the show. It made it more ridiculous that for plot purposes, aim can either be amazing or terrible depending on whats needed. It's on of the more frustrating things on the show.

I liked the suddenness of Axel's death, but the Governor just pistol-sniping him was a bit ridiculous.

I like his character but if he just naturally drops 25 F-bombs every time he opens his mouth, he's gotta have something wrong with him. That, or Kirkman is a bad writer, which I highly doubt. For me it's just that most villians are either super evil, or super funny.
They found balance in Negan, I didn't really get to know the Governor that much.

I'd say the ridiculousness in the scene comes more from the fact that Carol's plot armor protected her from getting killed.

Oh, you're right, my bad. Been a while since I saw the scene and the youtube video I watched only showed the scope, which kinda looked like a pistol on its own.
Killing Axel and Carol right at the same time would've been a bit too much I think, they've got to save their main characters up for individual deaths so they are each able to produce the whole 'shiiiiit' feeling. The way she survived (using the corpse of a friend as a shield) was pretty dramatic and gross though, which fit really well.

Nah, he used his scope. When firing on his people, he does fire somewhat from the hip though.

The next episode is actually gonna be about the Governor coming to realization of his hacking abilities (he doesn't try and kill the zombie because he knows he won't die anyway due to his godmode) and trying to deal with the fact he has them.
