I don't know about drowning, but the comic mentioned that they freeze during the winter, and that they can starve.
Ahh, but do they unfreeze when it turns to summer? Seriously I don't know, I've never read the comic. And if they can starve, how long does it take? It's been how many years now and they all seem to still look fine...

Starving takes a very long time, like, years.
I'm not sure about unfreezing.
How exactly do walkers absorb nutrients to keep the brain going or whatever? I would imagine their stomach/intestines would have rotted through and stuff.
I'm pretty sure they function the same way every other zombie ever functions
They're powered mainly by a suspension of disbelief

I havent read that much into the comics, but Milton in the TV series said they do starve, just much slower than humans.

As much as I know the Governor is the bad guy, I fucking love his character so much.

I hope Martinez' group tries to take out the prison and he helps Rick somehow. I know he's going to be the bad guy, and I know he'll probably die this season, but fuck me Morrissey is fantastic. To everyone arguing about if the walkers starve [sp]We just saw a bunch of decapitated heads that have been there for some time, so it either takes them an EXTREMELY long time for them to starve, or they just dont.[/sp]
[sp]Also a human body surviving without its heart is impossible so how these heads stay alive is beyond me[/sp]
