as a whole I think it's a bit inconsistent, there's some really fuckin' killer songs, Saturn Barz, Andromeda is 10/10, We Got the Power and Busted and Blue are all really great but there's a ton of weak stuff
definitely wanted a bit more damon in the final album than what I got
I like the album overall, but the length in terms of sheer song count is rough for me. I imagine I'll keep a fair number of tracks in my rotation for a while, but I don't think I'll listen to the album straight through very much.
While i don't think this is the best album they've ever made, i'm still pretty fucking happy with it. I've given it a few listens through now and i'm starting to love each song more every time i listen to it. I'll probably end up loving it in a week.

I've been having this issue as well, sent in a support ticket but I've yet to hear back at all about it.
I still don't have an option, if it persists until tomorrow ima put one in as well

Man the transition to that isn't even good, it goes empire ants, possibly the best song on the album and my personal favorite gorillaz song to "WHERES NORF FRUM 'ERE?!"

I really want to like Momentz but after a few listens I'm still not really sure about it.
Good thing the rest of the album is great.
i actually thought Momentz was one of the highlights of the album. De La Soul are really good at riding bizzare beats
Strobelites my current favourite, reminds me of stylo in a way
But I'm not a fan of the interludes, on the standard they don't even add up to a minute total and just make the album seem longer than it is
i really like the guitar & drums in Charger, would like to see how an instrumental version would sound
Initial thoughts on the album after ~3-4 listens
Highlights: Ascension, Momentz, Strobelites, Submission, Busted and Blue, Shes My Collar, The Apprentice, Andromeda, Saturnz Barz
Good, but unsure of how I feel about them totally: Ticker Tape, Carnival, Let Me Out
Straight up terrible: We Got The Power, Circle of Friendz, Sex Murder Party
This album feels very bloated. A lot of these songs (ESPECIALLY the interludes) didn't really contribute anything to the themes and sound of the album, whereas Gorillaz albums in the past had songs that, even if I didn't like, sounded like they belonged in their own way. The highs are very high (Busted and Blue instantly entered top 5 gorillaz tracks of all time), but the lows are also very low. I feel like this album is not nearly as ambitious and creative as their previous efforts, especially considering how hard Damon gets overshadowed on almost every track. The fact that the best song on the album is purely Damon emphasizes how the 1000 different features ended up hurting the project.
As with all Gorillaz albums, I am sure that I will enjoy it more over time, but as of right now it's way too inconsistent to get anything higher than a 7.
It makes sense why this album is called Humanz, given that there are so many "humans" singing and there's almost no focus on Damon.
But god do I love Busted and Blue. It's so nice to hear Damon after so long in something new

Glitter Freeze is just kind of tedious for me to listen to, I really like the alternate version though even if I don't think it would fit with the rest of the songs:

It should have been an image of their new house in Detroit. What we got is too much of an echo of DDs cover, and only Noodles image really works.
I think this album was worth the 7 years wait for me. Maybe i'm biased but i really liked all the songs, Although some songs did sorta feel off but i won't deny i had a lot of fun listening to it.
