Nah it's all good, don't sweat it. If I'm being honest I also thought the album was mediocre and it didn't give me near as much satisfaction as I got from Plastic Beach. Ah well, maybe they'll try again some time?

Reading the last page, it seems people have the same problem with HumanZ as I did with Random Access Memories from Daft Punk....Which is just being more like a Collab and the main Characters/Singers/Band taking a backseat.

I think it is still a little too early to give final judgement given that Gorillaz albums are [I]always[/I] growers, but the general consensus seems to be that this is their weakest album yet. The highs are very high, but the lows are arguably the lowest they've ever gone. IMO it also feels the least like a Gorillaz album out of all of their work.
Still a good album compared to the usual, but not worth the wait personally. Definitely give it a listen though.

Got three tickets for my friends for Luxembourg, I have no idea what to expect to be honest. Each ticket cost 50 euros which is a bit but expected more. Gorillaz has somewhat of a legacy.

I'm not sure what I think is the best damn song in the new album. I say it's Saturnz Barz, Strobelite, then Submission, then Carnival, then She's My Collar.

Honestly, I really like the diversity in opinions. It really encourages discussion and seeing the album from various perspectives.
Carnival would have been a standout if it had been at least a minute longer

I'd guess it's more the fact that the intro songs on the rest of their mainline albums pretty concretely convey the tone of their respective albums. Though at the same time, the intro track for Humanz transitions into Ascension so well that I pretty much just see Ascension as the actual intro track, which I think works a lot better in that context.
Really, I see the interludes on the album as more of an extended intro for the following song, if anything.

"In the works" just confirms they aren't disbanding/breaking up again after this. I don't know if that counts as the album of unreleased songs they were talking about though.
