I just looked at Gorillaz earlier this week, and I gotta say I'm hooked! Not only is the music fantastic and varied, but I'm loving the characters (<3 Noodle and Russel especially). Been in love with some of the songs like Broken, Rock the House, and Dare.
I'll need to look into the lore of the band as well because I'm super interested and I can tell not everything is told or shown in the actual videos if there is one. I'm assuming the wiki is the best place for that? Anything else I should know as a newcomer for Gorillaz?

Better than the vocaroo links passed around when the stage demo songs leaked but yeah it's fucked up in weird ways. Constant humming in the background, volume mixing is weird, weak bass. Do not recommend downloading.

I feel this way too. Though I felt the same way about Plastic Beach​ on my first couple listen through, so we'll see how I feel in a week
Same, I do like the singles more than I liked the singles from Plastic beach on first listen but I came around to plastic beach after a while.

Mmm someone "leaked" about 20 or so songs that seem to be whatever was played during the first houseparty. They're all supposedly ripped straight from the gorillaz app. [sp]Quite hoping these aren't the entirety of the non-remix songs because about 1/4th are just short non-music interludes (note, they're "atmospheric lead ups" of sorts to the next song. They aren't longer than ~15 seconds or so). Another quarter are what we've already heard publicly released on yt (Andromeda, we got the power, etc.), and the remaining 10 are songs ranging from "eh" to average quality.[/sp]

The original Gorillaz album is one of the few that I can listen through from beginning to end several times back to back. While I think Plastic Beach was a let down, and The Fall pulled them closer to the early days (although highly experimental, even for Gorillaz) but I'm so damn excited to have more of it in my life no matter how it sounds.
