Is that a joke? Like are they being sarcastic? I have found Glitter Freeze to be at the very bottom of the barrel of Gorillaz' mainline album material, it's hardly better than some of their super awkward one-off tracks from the early days. Just a mishmash of awkward samples and ear piercing noises that just fail to be interesting or even slightly enjoyable. Say whatever you like about Plastic Beach, Humanz, Gorillaz in general, but Glitter Freeze is not a good track. I say this as someone who enjoyed Plastic Beach almost to the same level as Demon Days. I'd say I have more fondness and nostalgia for it than DD as well.

After hearing this song it alone gives me faith that I made a good decision to get the special edition with the bonus tracks. I have no idea why this song got cut.
Guess they decided it didn't thematically fit with the rest
The Apprentice is a fucking awesome track. I've been enjoying all the latest tracks. I think We Got the Power is my least favourite out of the new bunch but it's still good enough for the ocasional listen imo. Can't wait for Friday.
Humanz just dropped, lads.
It's so good! As someone who puts Demon Days on a high pedestal, Humanz definitely sits right next to it. I have been waiting almost seven years since their Escape to Plastic Beach Tour to hear from them again, this shit is good. I was wondering how the singles would fit into the full album, I was pleasantly surprised where tracks were placed. I wish I was able to get a hold of the deluxe version on vinyl, but damn if the regular version isn't good on its own.
Where are y'all listening to it? I found a youtube upload but the sound quality is a little off.

I found it was on Spotify for me as early as 3hrs ago.
It has not dropped in the US yet, I think it will at midnight eastern
On the other hand, my physical copy doesn't get here until Tuesday.
My deluxe cd is suppose to be here tomorrow but still hasn't shipped

I got my vinyl copy from Amazon today.

Momentz is really out there. The structure is so strange.
Submission is fucking lit.
She's My Collar is my favorite excluding the singles. I also really enjoyed Charger.
I feel kinda meh about everything else. I'm disappointed with the lack of genre variety. Most of the tracklist blends together and sounds the same to me. Even Plastic Beach mixed it up a bit.
After my first listen, I think Humanz is more like the debut album than anything else. It has all the really strange types of deviations and non-sequiter stuff. It does have the same dark atmosphere as Demon Days though. It is vastly different than Plastic Beach which is expected. Worst track for me is Circle of Friendz which got old fast, should have closed on Ticker Tape. All of the singles are really good and the other tracks are good too. Standouts for me are She's My Collar and Strobelite. Overall, I like it but it's not as thematic and emotionally impactful as Demon Days and Plastic Beach. Something about it lacks that deepness I felt with those albums.

Technically the album's closer is We got the Power, Everything after that is a deluxe edition bonus track. That being said I think Hallelujah Money should have been the closer.
Pretty disappointed in the De La Soul feature, I'm so close to liking Momentz but it's just badly done.
Loving everything else though. I hyped up Submission and Charger to my friends ever since they were leaked (and subsequently nuked from the internet except for shit quality rips) and they were not disappointed.
Eeeeh really wished there weren't so many interlude things. Are they interesting? Yeah. Do they kind of lessen the 40 songs claim for me? Also yeah.
I really really want to love this album, but something about the use of guest artists as heavily as it is (is) throwing me off.
Busted and Blue the real MVP, I've always liked the more chill songs on their albums. Shame there's not more Albarn on the album, but overall there's enough songs I like.

Either way it still doesn't finish half as well as Plastic Beach, not even close to DD

I've heard Damon's solo album Everyday Robots is basically more of this track.
I had a hard time digging most of the tracks, but after a few listens (like most Gorillaz songs) they grew on me. Favorite is Strobelite tho.

Can't wait for a TheNeedleDrop review.
