They should remaster the prequels and redo all the CGI into modern day CGI to see how it would look
It would be very cool to see the prequels remastered in such a way. Personally, I don't see this idea as too far-fetched consider even the visuals of Battlefront and Battlefront II outclass the prequels in every way.
The Prequels looked bad at the time. Episode 2 especially looks atrocious.
I just want Jabba redone in ANH because it aged like milk the year after it was released, today it looks like total garbage.

if anyone got spoiled or knows anything about TLJ, do you know on what scale can you see a change to the franchise? in Rian I trust
The Red Carpet premier is tonight.
So I'm watching cast interviews and Mark Hamill is surprisingly sharp and witty? I'm not doubting his abilities, I'm just surprised he's able to be his best self when promoting a film as huge as this
The Red Carpet premier is tonight.
Time to bail.

do you see that footstep shot? this looks like it's going to set up a really interesting battle scene to remember for years.

Finally some interesting city planets akin to the prequels.
Or even better, build practical sets of places like Kamino and then composite the actors in (assuming they still have the raw greenscreen footage). I'd bet dollars to donuts it literally couldn't look worse than what we've got (because those movies have aged like an Alabama prom queen made of already-expired milk).
Maybe not the best example considering that Kamino was apparently mostly miniatures... Grant Imahara worked on the movies as well.
In the end, Rey and Ben fight Snoke together. Or it'll end nearly like Return of the Jedi. (User was banned for this post ("Spoiler tag your posts when talking about critical events in movies" - Kiwi))
Grant Imahara worked on the movies as well.
I believe Grant was one of the R2 Builders and drivers
The Premier live stream starts soon, nothing up yet but they are playing music. http://www.starwars.com/ You might need to disable your ad-blocker, some of them them the video pop up is an advert, the video player also needs flash. There is a menu button on the left with 4 different 'channels' [editline]9th December 2017[/editline] Ah there is also a youtube stream, though it doesn't have those 3 other streams [editline]9th December 2017[/editline] Has Maz been in any clips released of the film so far? I don't recall her at all.

Guess I'd better start preparing to vacate the internet for a week.
3 days left. I'm so excited. How the hell am I going to avoid spoilers though, I have nothing to do without internet
I'm really excited for The Last Jedi and I liked The Force Awakens, but having recently watched Return of the Jedi and TFA again, it still blows my mind that they decided to go the way they did. Given that what happened after Episode 6 had been covered in so many interesting and creative ways, it feels we were left the most uninspired version. At least for now.

It had such huge potential. Original cast back, 30 years of blank slate to explore seeing as EU was rendered non-canon and literally no actor would say no to being in a Star Wars movie, and still they went in such a safe direction. It baffles me. Still, in SW the "big picture", meaning all three movies in a trilogy, is very important. Hoping TFA is just the start of something more inspired and original.
Well I've just seen the first major spoiler, bail out bail out
Well I've just seen the first major spoiler, bail out bail out
Edit: Where, might I ask?
Honestly there's no way to avoid spoilers without getting off the internet entirely. I remember on the day TFA came out (or may have been 1 day later) someone made a steam group called 'KYLO REN KILLS HIS DAD HAN SOLO' and had bots sending invitations to thousands of people lol. Luckily I had seen it on the day of release so it wasn't ruined for me but I can only imagine how annoying that would have been if you hadn't seen it yet.
I haven’t seen any spoilers yet. Honestly I’m not going to believe any without proof.

There just hasn't been that pay-off to the original trilogy so far. Everything that was built up was stripped back again - you just have to look at Leia's role, which seemingly hasn't progressed at all. From "The Return of the Jedi" to "The Last Jedi" in one movie. I get that they want to push the new generation, but it could have been done differently, with more respect to what had come before - and it had been, by many people over the years. But in Rian I trust.
Well, Rian needs to work with that TFA gave him. Also legit spoiler for TLJ, though it's from a children's book so it might not actually be in the movie [sp]R2D2 shows Luke, Leia's hologram from ANH to try and snap him out of his isolation and to get him help them[/sp]
turn off steam popups, lads

My friend was seeing TFA on the last screening (4/4) on the premiere day, and someone drove by the theater and shouted "HAN SOLO DIES" to everyone standing outside. I am considering wearing earplugs until the movie starts.
i bought two tickets to episode 8 for my dad and me in an imax 3d cinema as a christmas gift a couple days ago i think i gave him a nice surprise
