The TFA leaks started happening days before the release IIRC.

Every now and then I check the Star Wars subreddit to see whats up. Already people are saying that they are getting spoiled because they browsed new submissions. What I also read was that The Last Jedi is receiving rave reviews. Betting than the Empire Strikes Back says some reviewers.

TFA also got good reviews. [editline]10th December 2017[/editline] The embargo doesn't lift until Tuesday so that's when most of the spoilers will probably appear before the actual showings.

People are saying it is completely different from previous Star Wars films, though they're not really saying how it's different.. Pacing? Story? Tone?

Phew, rewatched the OT and Force Awakens. I've seen TFA 3 times before that, and loved it every time. From my point of view, it had strong characters with compelling motivations, so the retreaded story didn't matter. Complaints about the tone being too jokey didn't resonate with me either (have you seen the OT?). I do have one complaint about TFA that I didn't have before, though: the dialogue in the scene where Han and Leia discuss their son was too expository. It's pretty ridiculous, to be honest, every line is designed to illuminate the viewer's that might've missed some backstory stuff. It's also pretty weird since it stands out so much, other expository dialogue is mostly fine, even when it's mentions obvious in-universe stuff. Seeing the movies almost back to back does make some apparent. Like how space battles in Jedi are a lot more complex and faster paced then in ANH. Also, seeing Jedi after Empire shines a giant spotlight on Jedi's problems. The structure is weird (so much time wasted saving Han Solo, it's almost comical), the acting ranges from mildly okay to fucking atrocious (the "you're my sister scene" is a highlight), the cinematography takes a huge fucking drop from Empire, it looks like a TV show; and overall it feels like the whole crew ran on fumes at this point. What a shame

So I remembered that there were some rumors like a year ago that Force ghost Anakin would show up, and subsequently I remembered my fears of Anakin being played by Christensen. The way I see it, they have a creepy, murderous Christensen Anakin, and a kind, loving Shaw Anakin. Who would choose Christensen? I understand that even if Anakin were to show up, it would be Christensen 100%, but meh

I could see them doing a Vader flashback at the start of the move à la Return of the King. Rey got a vision by touching Luke/Anakins lightsaber. Maybe it works the same way with Vaders mask. Kylo straight out asks it to show him "the power of the darkness" again.

And they got that Vader suit they made for Rogue One

Oh here is a minor thing for TLJ [sp]According to notices received at theatres, at 1 Hour 52 minutes in, all sound cuts out for 10 seconds on purpose[/sp] Speculate away

Honestly I'm treating all spoilers as false because right now we know for certain one thing that will appear in TLJ and not one set of spoilers has confirmed it yet. It's not even a plot thing, its just a thing that SW fans would have leaked by now [sp]No one has confirmed the new lightsaber colour[/sp]

Bullshit. That's what I called the rumors and leaks earlier. I..detract my statements, it appears..they might be true after all. I had a conversation with a person who went to a press screening with proof, and he said the same stuff as the other sources did. This is truly...everyone don't get hyped up for this movie. It's nothing like you see in ads, the fanbase is going to HATE the sequel trilogy after this film. The story details just...turn me off from seeing this bullshit (as I put it lightly).
