Bullshit. That's what I called the rumors and leaks earlier. I..detract my statements, it appears..they might be true after all. I had a conversation with a person who went to a press screening with proof, and he said the same stuff as the other sources did. This is truly...everyone don't get hyped up for this movie. It's nothing like you see in ads, the fanbase is going to HATE the sequel trilogy after this film.
The review embargo ends tomorrow morning, we'll find out then if they were right.
I don't know guys. I've seen Rian Johnson's work (my favorite BrBa episode was his), and he seems like the guy that'd like to take risks - but remember, this is still Star Wars and still Lucasfilm that fired Lord and Miller. How much "out there" TLJ can be?
To be honest I stopped believing in press screening Twitter reviews since the day they promised me Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice was going to be a fantastic and enjoyable movie
hearing what happens in the movie. I don't really know what to say, lots of confirmation on it being true. If so then: (just an opinion of what I think people will think of the movie. possibly tips off some stuff) [sp] movie might be hated by a lot of people with some of the reveals/twists they have [/sp]
People are going to be so fucking salty about this movie even if it's actually great. It'll be a good harvest. It might be the ESB reception all over again and that's amazing.

Fun fact, the location shots were shot at an actual salt flat.
are we getting the reviews in one hour? can't believe i'm waiting for something like this
Also remember context is everything. Something that sounds bad written down might work better in motion and with the rest of the information. The person who wrote it might not be a great writer (this is directed at the leaks) If you don’t like what you read and are going to skip it, fine. But at least give it a chance when it comes out on home release/digital
Honestly the reception to this is far more interesting than TFAs. I just hope it's more "cult" classic than it is BvS
People on another forum I visit are saying the good reviews are a good thing because people would be harsher on it after TFA
Some of y'all really need to learn to chill with the spoilers.
Honestly, I couldn't give a damn about some guy over the internet's opinions on these sort of things without formulating my own opinion on it first. Like Tuskin said, spoilers can construe context and you're taking the word of someone who may have vastly different tastes and biases than your own. I knew a guy who said Hacksaw Ridge gives Saving Private Ryan a run for its money, but when I saw it I was less impressed. Just take people's opinions in but don't make them your own until you can establish context for your own opinions by actually watching the movie (or playing the game, etc.) That being said, some of the spoilers do sound iffy, on paper, but I await to see what is true and how well --or poorly --it is executed.
honestly unless every review ends up being "the movie raped my dog, poisoned my crops, and burned my house down", I'm going to watch it anyway. There's no way that this movie can be just straight garbage.

What did Chris give tfa
A+ Also Jeremy Jahns review. Edit: No rating, but he'll make a second video soon.
I've come to terms with the fact that in the following days someone will spoil me something about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. I don't know exactly when or through what mean that will take place, but I know for sure it will. It helps that most of the time I'm the kind of guy who actually looks out for the most recent and plentiful spoilers around, althought I've been trying to restrain myself if the situation calls for it. I'd really like this movie to be one of those situations

It's a shame that a lot of twists and turns can be ruined by one asshole.
[sp]Snoke? More like Supreme Leader Snuffed; what a pointless character. Hahahaha, it's almost as if they're trolling fans what with all those absurd theoories.[/sp]

I really hope that LAST JEDI BIG movie spoilers [sp] Rey isn't just a nobody. This is suppose to be a skywalker's story. And she's so strong in the force so it doesn't make sense to be a random. Unless they're going to say she's Anakin reincarnated, and his force ghost will appear to her in the next movie. [/sp]

Even The Phantom Menace was focused more on the non-Skywalker main characters[/sp]

Was way more fun to watch than Snoke seems to be however, not gonna lie.[/sp]
[sp]As I said months ago, Palpatine had charisma and an entire antecedent trilogy dedicated toward setting him up as the main antagonist. His minimalist role in the OT was a result of uncertainty regarding the specifics of the plot and how many movies would be made; George Lucas didn't even intend for Palpatine to be as much of a focal point until right before TESB, when the character was reimagined as an analogue for Satan. Snoke is just there, has presumably no personality, and dies mid way through the movie, with nothing impressive to show for himself. At least Palpatine in ROTJ showcased his deceptive, manipulative prowess. All things considered, these films render the triumphs of the previous trilogy entirely moot. Luke, Han, and presumably Leia all meet pitiful, depressing ends, and the Jedi are no better off than they were at the time of the OT. Good job Story Group/Disney/Kathleen Kennedy, you've managed to make the resurrection of Sidious in the EU look tame in comparison.[/sp]

Random people in the the galaxy are starting to tap into the force without any training. You know how Episode 7 never really showed just how exactly the force awakened? Well now we know.[/sp]
So... is it good?
So... is it good?
No.

So "the chosen one" descendents are going to be the strongest. [/sp]

Anakin was just some random kid born by some random woman from a random backwater planet. Force has choosen Rey just as it choose Anakin. Midichlorians count doesn't matter as well, it's how you communicate with them that does. Paying it too much mind was one of old Order's fallings[/sp]
