would be neat if he played this guy http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Thrackan_Sal-Solo
Michael McDonald?
my favourite part of the eu, and im probably getting this wrong is the fact that somebody made a clone of luke and called it luuke and then after that clone died they called the next one luuuke like, you cant just keep adding u's for each luke [editline]4th January 2017[/editline] luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuke
Michael McDonald?
my day has literally been filled with nonstop chicago/doobie brothers, you have no idea how eerie it is for me to come on here and see this.
To be honest Rogue One is pretty much on par with the original trilogy in terms of characters, interests, storytelling and just in general being a "Star Wars" film, but with impressive visuals and depending on your opinion on this cast, I'd argue Rogue One is objectively the best star wars film made
I'm not sure you can say that a movie is "objectively" better, it's too subjective to be judged like that. Plus Rogue One's appeal to people who like grittier stuff makes it very much a matter of taste. I think Rogue One is too flawed to be "the best". It's got wonky pacing in the early part of the movie, and the majority of viewers seem to agree that the characters aren't terribly interesting, as compared to the iconic and memorable cast of the OT. I liked Cassian myself but Jynn wasn't memorable at all and I don't really think I could tell you more than two things about the characters. Between Rogue One and The Force Awakens, I think what the two movies are really in need of is more downtime between action and setpieces. A New Hope has Luke, Obi-Wan, and Han hanging out in the Falcon, the Hoth base parts leading up to the big battle in Empire Strikes Back along with the trip to Cloud City, and so on, to let the cast bounce off of each other. Force Awakens didn't really have much of that, Rey and Finn didn't really have any scenes where they just kind of sit down and chat for a while because they're too busy bouncing from scene to scene. And I'm not saying they have none of it, I feel like the limited scenes with Poe and Finn are the sort of interactions TFA could have used a bit more of.
Maybe my standards are just low, but I liked the characters. Even got attached to them, though that was more to a degree of "damn, I wanna see more of these guys and see them actually interact and be cool together". [sp]Which is why all of them dying left me pretty bummed and awestruck at the same time.[/sp]
The episodes of the sixth season of The Clone Wars dedicated to Yoda are quite welcomed, especially because I was starting to hate the guy. Only, they could had done much more with Korr ... I mean, Moraban (don't get me wrong, watching Darth Bane's on screen is kinda cool, but seriously, they couldn't come up with something better than a Vader's clone design? Also, while I generally like Mark Hammill performances, I think that every time he gets to voice a villain he lapses into the Joker, and his Bane is no exception, to the point of being silly)
Dear god, the CGI on that has aged terribly. I know it's a deleted scene, but a pretty big portion of the prequel trilogy looks really dated now. I do like the writing in this scene, though, at least between Anakin and Obi-Wan. It makes them actually seem like good friends.
To me in looks like that CGI was early renders. They never touched it up for final production. The water is a dead give away on that.
Luuke skywalker was in the EU, but Luuuke was just a writer poking fun at it
More info on reshoots and stuff for Rogue One, spoilers obviously https://uk.movies.yahoo.com/rogue-ones-editors-reveal-scenes-added-in-the-star-wars-standalone-reshoots-exclusive-110124381.html [sp]The Actor who played Gold Leader in ANH, is still alive, they had him do a couple voiceover lines for the character[/sp] [editline]4th January 2017[/editline] The scenes they mention in the article that were added. [sp]The introduction of Adult Jyn was originally the 'interrigation' scene in the rebel base, there was no scene of rescuing her from the imperials. The scene with Cassian and the informant was added. the scene with Bodhi trying to find Saw.[/sp] They confirm that the third act was changed, rearranged and stuff, but don't give any specific details.

They always have green lenses but it never looks that light.
I have a really stupid sounding arbitrary question. Think of most of the names of characters in the SW universe. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kylo Ren, Jyn Erso, Han Solo, pretty much every other rebel soldier has a similar name (remember all those names from Battlefront II bots?), so where the hell did "Skywalker" come from? It almost sounds like a pen name in contrast to most of the other humanoid names in the SW universe
luke had that friend Biggs, and his last name was Darklighter. maybe it's a Tatooine thing?

That looks fucking amazing.
luke had that friend Biggs, and his last name was Darklighter. maybe it's a Tatooine thing?
I mean on a planet with 3 moons and 2 suns I'd imagine the sky is a big influence in just about everything. I know it's at least a big deal to Tuskins.

2:38 Looks like Wulif Yularen
So, at the end I finished my abriged run through the episodes of The Clone Wars. Arguably one of my favorite western animation series ever and my favorite Star Wars thing after The Old Republic era

didn't notice it on the first watch, but that's not just any old mon cal cruiser in the rebel fleet.
A certain character at the very end is voiced by Stephen Stanton
OOoo so death troopers, and those other things look like unarmored phase 3 dark troopers...
Oh damn, i hope this means [sp]old wounds[/sp] like i thought it would.
Stuff I noticed in the trailer The Security Droids have a logo on them General Dodanna Home One, or another MC-80 Nebulon-B [t]http://i.imgur.com/hUOAWIm.png[/t] A Dornean gunship This translates to Prime Sect probably Sector Jump Troopers [t]http://i.imgur.com/PRe5fix.png[/t] Not sure what this droid is, maybe Mandalorian? [t]http://i.imgur.com/MfrrPze.png[/t] Mandalorian ships attacking the Empire [t]http://i.imgur.com/zoHxcVT.png[/t] Possibly Wullf Yularen Y-Wings with red markings instead of yellow [t]http://i.imgur.com/v2nA84H.png[/t] Same with this Hammerhead
personally, I would put that stuff into an imgur album, so people who dont want any level of spoilers or surprises to be ruined
I'm about 80% positive this is Rook Kast because the helmet is the same as the one in Son of Dathomir. I'm 6 eps into Clone Wars and so far EP5 is the only ep I like. Is season 2 a big improvement? I know the golden seasons are season 3 and beyond but right now it feels like a slog getting through it. It's getting tiring watching the Republic catch Grevious' capital ship only for him to pussy out and run away, EP5 felt almost like some different show in how different the quality was. I'm going to keep watching it until the end since it's only 20 mins each ep and I really want to get to the good bits and rebels after it, but damn does season 1 suck so far.

First season of clone wars is mostly bad. I can't remember how much s2 improved, but there's some good episodes in the first season. The rest of the show is fantastic. I'd rate clone wars as a whole better than the OT, but I guess the series getting better as it goes along (rather than getting a bad episode at the end) might make me bias First thing: I really hope Thrawn does some real damage to the rebelion. It'll really suck if all his planning and "I'll just let them go to get the bigger prize" doesn't ammount to destroying at least half the rebelion's fleet, taking a base, or something that really cripples the rebellion. The good guys saving the day shouldn't be them thwarting his plan to kill them all, it should be them salvaging the reblion and keeping it from being utterly detroyed. Otherwise, Thrawn is a joke. I've not read any of the EU so I don't know how great he's supposed to be, but he'd just be a piss-poor villain if his brains just made him look good rather than get results.
