Are any of the post Disney books worth reading? I like the sound of the Tarkin novel but I have no idea what the quality of the books are like.
Everything except Aftermath is between good and really good quality wise. Nothing trully outstanding, though it has its moments.
i forgot to mention, i finally got that revan figure. not a single store i went to had it, but they had the rest of the series, so i just ordered it from amazon. totes worth it.
I noticed that the Jyn action figure is "Sergeant Jyn Erso." Was she even given a rank in the film? I can't remember.

Pablo is just the best. I'm surprised he hasn't just quit Twitter.
Anyone here watched the CinemaWins videos on the Star Wars PT? Makes for a good contrast to the RLM reviews. I love pablo. also, does anyone else feel like the people who wrote about the empire in the EU kind of forgot that the empire still ran off of old fashioned radars and ww2 types of technology? some of this stuff is honestly too futuristic imo. I still like it, but it seems kind of inconsistant with how the movie technology was potrayed
How do you figure that? They could track the Falcon though Hyper Space.
well, I guess I kinda worded it wrong. I think the overall aeshetic and some of the more advanced imperial units have this bigger sci-fi ish feel that is kind of inconsistent considering the timeline that most of this stuff was in. It's a minor gripe I have, really.
http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-38423963 Carrie Fisher had a heart attack, her bother said shes stable, but a Law Enforcement Official said it isn't good.
Some things revealed in the novelization in Rogue One, spoilers obviously (Linked because Thumbnail) https://youtu.be/7MdLwBo3htE [sp]So we know from the movie that the Exhaust Port was put there on purpose, but the novel goes into more detail, saying they the Death Star had a legitimate radiation build up problem, Galen purposed several solutions, but kept emphasizing that the Exhaust port would be the cheapest and best[/sp]
Seems like cutting corners would be the last thing you'd want to do for a planet killer
Seems like cutting corners would be the last thing you'd want to do for a planet killer
You say that, but the Empire cuts corners everywhere. [editline]edit[/editline] Lack of goddamn handrails for one.
I'm thinking about binging the Star Wars movies. Cause I've never seen anything besides some bits and pieces of the prequels when I was a kid. I was gonna watch it in this order 1,2,3,Rogue One,4,5,6,Force Awakens Is this the correct?

You know, it would be interesting if someone spliced together Rogue One's Imperial themes with the Williams' Imperial themes. The clash would be fun to hear.
So is Steve Blum gonna voice every storm trooper from now on
If you're going to show someone who never knew the huge pop-culture plot twist (Darth Vader is Luke's father), show them the OT films first so it's more impactful.
damn man spoiler tag that shi
So is Steve Blum gonna voice every storm trooper from now on
I am fine with this
Princess Leia is Luke's sister.
God FUCKING dammit.
God FUCKING dammit.
that spoiler makes episode 5 more interesting trust me
I'm hearing a lot more negative feedback about Rogue One than I thought I would. I mean, I know it's Star Wars and it's always going to have its detractors because of that, but I enjoyed it. It's by no means a perfect movie but it certainly exceeded my expectations; I think it really found a good balance of new vs old, same vs different to fit into the side story/spin-off role perfectly.
release order is always the first order for someone new. after that they can machete or chronological. personally, i can't wait for someone to make a fan edit that combines rogue one and episode 4. or at the very least [sp]gives rogue one a title crawl and the main theme[/sp]
I really don't think Rogue One is[sp] 10 minutes before ANH.(neither does Pablo). For one we know from ANH (and Rebels) they can't track ships through Hyperspace without a tracking device, so how could the Devastator find them so quickly? Unless Vader threw one on the ship when we were not looking[/sp]
Question: Are TIE Defenders canon? They're in the Death Star DLC for Battlefront.
Question: Are TIE Defenders canon? They're in the Death Star DLC for Battlefront.
All of the equipment in Battlefront is canon. TIE Defenders also showed up in Rebels (in a way) recently.
I read up on the third Darth Vader comic (the one where Dr. Aphra gets [sp]spaced[/sp]). What is up with the organic ships?
They're exogorths and some dude was basically putting tech into them to be mind controlled into being used. Pretty similar to what the KOTOR Comics did with the Mandalorians,Republic, and Arkanians.
The only minor nitpick I could bring up when it comes to continuity between Rogue One and a New Hope is that, given the ending of the latter, [sp]Leila's claim to Darth Vader that her vessel is strictly on a diplomatic missions now sounds incredibly stupid/daring[/sp]

Or when the troops actively fought back instead of welcoming the inspection team on board???[/sp]
