He's not. The TFA novelization claims he's an alien.
Ah. Well. When that guy's info dump post described Snoke as being beautiful in the past before intense dark side use, I thought it heavily implied he was human, especially since current Snoke does kinda resemble a really fucked up human, also because outside of sexy alien dancers, all the aliens are ugly as shit. :v:

There's plenty of alien races in cannon that look bangable. Chis (Thrawn) Twi-leks (sexy dancers with the twin tails) That race Asoka is part of that are sorta like twi-leks Zabraks (maul, I think maybe ventress? Do they just share a planet or are they the same race, cause I've seen stuff of female zabraks with horns so.. ) A bunch of EU stuff. Admitedly, I have a soft spot for the human re-colors that are so popular when science fantasy gets lazy.

Fair game on Ahsoka's race though. Whatever Snoke's race is, I'm interested in seeing what the handsome version is because his race actually looks pretty alien or just really hideous looking humans, from what we've seen of him.

Snoke was actually Supreme Chancellor Valorum all along, he was REALLLLLY pissed off when he lost power over the Republic to another Sith rival. He lost his hair because of the stress, and was then caught in a tragic boating accident later on in life that scarred him deeply and then got his name legally changed to Snoke. [editline]editline[/editline] JUST LOOK AT THAT BONE STRUCTURE, IT'S ALMOST TOO OBVIOUS. Is it just me or does Snoke kinda resemble Bill Nighy? [t]http://www.trbimg.com/img-54221ec2/turbine/la-et-mn-bill-nighy-20140924[/t]

Oh for fuck's sake can I make a single post in this thread without fucking up everytime. :v:
saw this video on YT and how the hell have i never noticed that gigantic Mass Effect lens flare before?
I wonder if that shot was done with miniatures or full scale, it looks pretty good, I don't think all of it is CG. [editline]9th January 2017[/editline]
yeah the Ep1 space fighting looked better than i remembered, even if the CG isn't as refined as in Ep3. it almost looks like blend of miniatures and computer effects.
Well, i think the droid control ship exploding was a miniature.

... FUCKING FILLERS.
Could evolve into something bigger, protentially not a filler. [sp] they destroy the droid, but too late, it has sent a signal, the enemy fleet is coming, you're all fucked .Relocate somewhere nice[/sp]
... FUCKING FILLERS.
I didn't know you'd seen the episode yet. Were any of the Rogue One 'leaks' actually true?
I didn't know you'd seen the episode yet. Were any of the Rogue One 'leaks' actually true?
Let's just say that I kinda got savvy about the whole plot structure of your average Rebels season. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
... FUCKING FILLERS.
Some sort of advanced Imperial Scout droid finds Chopper base. Apparently filler. [editline]edit[/editline] Like that sounds pretty important. Even so, nothing wrong with a bit of filler in a TV show, long as its meaningful filler where we learn more about the characters and shit.
snip
You know, it's amazing how many times Shaak-ti died throughout the Legends canon, each time decanonized with another time taking it's place, she's gotta have hit some sort of record.
Well, i think the droid control ship exploding was a miniature.
A large part of the prequel films were shot with miniature scale sets and models. Episode 1 is by far the best looking of the three, though, because you can tell that a lot of it has real props being destroyed and manipulated. The ship in the beginning blowing up is a mini, the door Qui-gon cuts is really getting burned, those huge drop ships are minis, a huge part of Boonta Eve was a miniature set. It's a shame everyone defames the prequels without looking into it. The movie is beautiful, just not the best plot or acting. The official behind the scenes shows very little. http://www.slashfilm.com/star-wars-prequels-miniatures/
Tbh out of the prequels I actually like the first one the most, don't know why though, I guess it felt more like a Star Wars movie than the others did. I guess it's because it's a self contained story, it has it's horrible points, Jar Jar, the kid actors, some mediocre acting due to poor direction, but I dunno, I just sort of like it. Guess it's my guilty pleasure.
even the goddamn AT-TEs in Ep2 were puppets on wires, for me that was the most impressive part because they moved so smoothly that i was always so sure they were CGI-animated
even the goddamn AT-TEs in Ep2 were puppets on wires, for me that was the most impressive part because they moved so smoothly that i was always so sure they were CGI-animated
You got a picture of that? First i've heard of it. There were full scale props for the B1 Battle Droids and Destroyer Droids in Episode 1, but I don't know if they were actually used in the film.
here's one, i've also seen one from another angle where it was positioned on a miniature patch of Geonosian ground against a bluescreen. it was part of a bigger (enormous) prequel miniatures gallery.
That is pretty cool.
Here's another good repository of minis and sets: http://boards.theforce.net/threads/practical-effects-in-the-prequels-sets-pictures-models-etc.50017310/
Always fun to see the miniatures bts. I wonder why they didn't make any models for the force awakens, it's such a staple of the series.
