one of them also has a giant ff7 'fuck you' sword i think
one of them also has a giant ff7 'fuck you' sword i think
Yeah I was sort of confused at what that was, it's either some sort of heavy blaster or as you say, some sort of big fuck huge sword.
Ever played the Jedi Knight games? I haven't played enough of Dark Forces and Jedi Knight to say how good they are, but Jedi Outcast is absolutely fantastic and Jedi Academy is a solid follow up with some great missions.
I just started playing Jedi Outcast about a week ago, having had it in my Steam library since forever. I'm only on the first level, and while I'm going to give it a little longer before deciding, so far it hasn't really grabbed me. The gunplay just isn't terribly compelling, and trying to hit moving targets with the blaster rifle is really frustrating.

I don't remember exactly how long it takes to get there, though.
Oh I completely agree, I did enjoy the characters and I do want to see more of them, in fact I really like Kylo Ren and the fact that he's clearly a whiny bitch that the First Order only really give a damn about because he has the ability to use the force, he's basically prequel Anakin done right, but... I do want more originality from the next one in regards to plot. Because that's really the biggest qualm I had with TFA.
That's fair as far as criticism goes. While I liked TFA as a film I can also see that it was intended as a sort of proof of concept as well.
According to John Knoll Jyn's name came from a combination of Jen, Jane and Ginny His wife, daughter and aunt's names.
Well you should definitely play as far as Nar Shaddaa before you give up on it. Nar Shaddaa is a mixed bag though, it's basically trial and error gameplay because of all the snipers.
According to Pablo EP8 is not a co-production
I'll keep going with Outcast, Glent, and see how it holds up.
That's fair as far as criticism goes. While I liked TFA as a film I can also see that it was intended as a sort of proof of concept as well.
Optimism says TFA's re-treading old ground is to re-establish the franchise before they go off to do something new. Pessimism says Disney wants safe bets for their cash cow and subsequent movies will follow the same trend of rehashing elements of prior films in family-friendly plots with plenty of new visual designs to sell as toys.

The main problem I had with Jedi Outcast is that, before acquiring a lightsaber, you are basically playing a surprisingly hard FPS with enemies who can eat you alive in seconds. After acquiring your lightsaber, instead, you are constantly ambushed from afar by snipers and granadiers, whose attacks you can't deflect, with predictable results

the nar shadda level is what awakened my racism for rodians also the inquistor looks 100% more spooky when he's not in the art style of rebels

Nice, I always like seeing characters in alt art styles and the Rebels were definitely deserving of getting a "realistic" interpretation, if only to see if I could figure out how the fuck Ezras shirt is meant to work. [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1-mQr7XEAEjcdN.jpg[/t] [t]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C1-o57dXAAAWm2Z.jpg:large[/t] Also Ezra's model really reminds me of a certain actor but I can't nail it

The inquisitor looks fucking terrifying.
Pau'ans are fuckin creepy man [t]http://img.lum.dolimg.com/v1/images/databank_pauan_01_169_7fbc02c1.jpeg?region=444%2C30%2C1116%2C629&width=768[/t] That realistic artstyle makes Kallus' helmet look silly.

[editline]edit[/editline] Either that or the guy and the other Pau'ans around him we see in the Revenge of the Sith are unusually tall.
You know now that I think about it for a Pau'an he's unusually short. [editline]edit[/editline] Either that or the guy we see in the Clone wars is unusually tall.
The Inquistor is about 2m tall, according to Wookieepedia. That seems about the same height as the Pau'ans we see in Episode III.
The Inquistor is about 2m tall, according to Wookieepedia.
underrated planet tbh also, excellent miniature design
If there's one thing that the prequels did right, it was planet design and having new and cool places. Even the return to Tatooine expanded on the place nicely. Meanwhile in Force Awakens we have Jakku as generic desert planet consisting of sand dunes and one small marketplace, a bar/temple thing in a forest, Starkiller Base, and not-Yavin-4.
Utapau was the original name for both Tatooine and Naboo. The sinkhole design came from Raph McQuarrie art from the 70s.
underrated planet tbh also, excellent miniature design
Again, I had no idea this wasn't CGI. Maybe it's the lighting or something. That's fucking incredible.
plenty of new visual designs to sell as toys.
To be fair, that's always been an element of Star Wars. But yeah, hopefully Disney won't fuck it up. I feel a lot of the complaints people have about TFA are pretty minor compared to the complaints people had about the Prequels and honestly speaking as a Star Wars fan I'm glad that George isn't allowed near the series anymore. I watched ANH again over Christmas and all the extra CGI bullshit he added in seemed so intrusive and unnecessary it lessened the experience a little for me. They even added a sound effect to the stormtrooper that bonks his head on a blast door on The Death Star. I have a fond childhood memory of my dad pointing it out to me when I was a wee lad and the fact that they felt the need to go back and add a sound to it sort of ruined the comedy value of it a little. Not as bad as Vader shouting "NOOO!" at the end of ROTJ but still.
Utapau was the original name for both Tatooine and Naboo. The sinkhole design came from Raph McQuarrie art from the 70s.
it's also a city in thailand.
R1 Spoilers, alternate scenes [sp]Possible alternate K-2SO death scene in this video http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/rogue-star-wars-story-inside-creation-droid-2so/story?id=44694660[/sp] [editline]13th January 2017[/editline] also according to that, part of K2 was inspired by Star Tours

Ok. So I finally watched R1 What a pile of shit [sp]Just kidding. I loved it. Easily within the top 3 star wars films for me. [/sp] My biggest problem with it [sp] That darth vader scene was just too short. I'd watch a trilogy of him just cutting his way through different hallways if it was all that good. [/sp] My other problems with it [sp] So I thought everyone didn't really need to die. Like the Monk and the robot brought me tears, but the samurai's death just felt like they were filling a quota and he could've used some development instead. The Pilot's death was decent, but I didn't feel like Jyn and captain got the emotional impact they were going for. Would've prefered a frantic and failed escape attempt to just giving up. I thought the scene with the hammerhead causing a star destroyer to carve through another looked awesome, but was on the wrong side of 'unbelievable'. Everything said about Saw, I don't think he should've given up like that. Also, aren't cybernetic legs usually better? I also wonder what happened to the rest of his group. I'm not sure of the wisdom in firing the death star twice. Like yeah, Imperial officers aren't noted for being fantastically competent, and we always want an excuse for firing our new toy. But firing on the holy city just destroyed a valuable mine and did more damage to civilian targets than rebels (which is part of the reason why Tarkin chastised cape-man and so rudely took command) But destroying the base on scarif is a real mixed bag, and I know why he did it, it'd just be a little better if we had some pros-cons of it. I get that they should show the deathstar in case people are seeing this film without having seen A New Hope This film had some amazing visuals. My girlfriend thought AT-AT's looked stupid in tESB, but there's no denying how incredible, awesome and imposing they looked in R1. For CGI she didn't even notice the fake peter cushing (I thought it was horrendous, we both noted leia looked bad) but by gods did those Mon Calamari look terrible. I've also never seen such a competent combat droid. And lastly, how does Jyn still have her kyber cristal is she was imprisoned? [/sp] All in all, a terrible film [sp]8/10. I think a bit more polish could have made it a 10/10.[/sp]
