It has been associated with AT-AT attacks in games as well.
I recall it being used in Republic Commando when the droid sphere-ship is self-destructing.
That video is trying to tell me Leia's ship name has been pronounced Tan-tee-vee all this time. Whaaaaaat? Getoutahere.
I refuse to pronounce it any other way that Tan-Tiv.
I was just thinking - are the Clone Wars animations considered to be canon at this point? People seem to gripe a lot about the legends canon, but there are a few things about the animation that made me wonder why they would consider including it. The episodes with Mortis/"The Ones" were probably some of the poorest examples of Star Wars canon I've seen.

Also because Star Wars Rebels ties back into it.
I do agree that the arc with the representations of the force was a bit off as far as star wars cannon gets.
Well George probably came up with that idea, so technically everything before it was off canon :v: I'm not defending George, he has bad sometimes horrible ideas, but he created the franchise, hes essentially god of it, so what he says/does is canon (if it makes it into a production).
I kinda wish they brought dirge back in 3d clone wars.

There are a lot of great things that came from Clone Wars, especially Ahsoka, but there was a lot of hot trash from that series, too. The Shark species separatist guy, Mortis, Godzilla on Coruscant, Darth Maul as a spider, Savage Opress (that name alone), Hutt's kid (The Movie - which is still canon, too), the Shamans that help Yoda out, the fact that every race of people in the show has one singular accent archetype (French for the Twi'leks, Scottish for those weird Lemur people). It's okay to criticise the show. People always do it for the prequels, and George made those too. People just tend to think you're a purist if you do.
He was planned to be in the show but was replaced with Cad Bane.
It's for the best he wasn't included. They planned to "revise" him as simply a human man in armor as opposed to the tentacle-filled alien monstrosity the original cartoon displayed.
Why the hell is this canon? URoRRuR'R'R
TIL the FO TIE is 2 meters smaller then the GE TIE. It also better in every other way.

The french/scotish accents for rebelious races (I can't remember the lemurs, but the Twi'leks were pretty bad) was a bit on the nose. Like the imperials draw from russians, japanese, nazis, The british empire. The Twi-leks were beautiful, got their planet occupied a lot, and were proud resistance fighters. Other than the slavery and this family totem, they overwhelmingly drew on one culture and it sucked. Reminded me of some criticism I had for skyrim. The crazy guy on a speeder bike using a lance from the 2d cartoon. See, I thought that the 2d cartoon was too over the top to be canon. But I think star wars would benefit from more crazy medieval shit. Just where it makes sense. I never really saw the use for the mounted storm trooper in a new hope. Speeders are so much better, right? Well, I think it's an area that could be worked on.
In the meantime, the precarious position of The Old Republic era as far as the canon is concerned means that the (admittedly) cool backstory of the Sand People is left unclear
In the meantime, the precarious position of The Old Republic era as far as the canon is concerned means that the (admittedly) cool backstory of the Sand People is left unclear
Man fuck those guys, trying to help them figure out their origins and they go all REEEEE and I have to kill everyone
In the meantime, the precarious position of The Old Republic era as far as the canon is concerned means that the (admittedly) cool backstory of the Sand People is left unclear
The position is clear as the fucking sky. TOR era is not canon.
Man fuck those guys, trying to help them figure out their origins and they go all REEEEE and I have to kill everyone
See also: The Voss Dare to tell the truth and they'll start jumping around screaming about normies
See also: The Voss Dare to tell the truth and they'll start jumping around screaming about normies
I think you might be confusing them with 4chan.
Man fuck those guys, trying to help them figure out their origins and they go all REEEEE and I have to kill everyone
I thought it was a great gameplay choice. I don't think I've ever seen a more "alien" race than the one you can't communicate with on any level and who will misinterpret everything you do as an indication of hostility. On topic of the 2D series, I recently rewatched the whole thing and wow, Anakin is portrayed very differently than I remember. Also, does anyone else see a lot of Vader in his outfit design? So many things I never noticed before.
Man fuck those guys, trying to help them figure out their origins and they go all REEEEE and I have to kill everyone
I remember that part clearly because the translator did warn me that pressing certain questions about their history would had been met with hostility, but, since I have this odd compulsion to exhaust every dialogue option I'm given in any RPV, I took the bait anyway
Today's rebels episode was amazing, a lot of Sabine character building.
Kanen mentions [sp]the Jedi won the war with Mandalore. What is he referring to? How the Jedi fucked up Mandalore during KOTOR times with Revan at the head?[/sp]
Kanen mentions [sp]the Jedi won the war with Mandalore. What is he referring to? How the Jedi fucked up Mandalore during KOTOR times with Revan at the head?[/sp]
[sp]This war was only over a 1000 years ago, the war in KOTOR was more then 3000 years. It is probably just one of these cherry picked Legends references they adopted into the new canon. War was also mentioned in Clone Wars. There is also a mural depicting it on Mandalore[/sp]
