I think Rey is just kind of bland but hopefully the next film centres more on Finn; especially when I'm a big John Boyega fan.
Yeah if I had to compare the two, tbh I'm still not seeing how people can see Rey as a better character than Jyn when Rey really doesn't have much of a character to begin with besides vague backstory we won't know anything about until the next movie. Jyn despite only having one movie to do it really felt like more of a fleshed out likable, if a tad generic character than Rey currently, we also have more of a connection to her through her loss, I do like Rey but she needs at least another movie to be fleshed out a bit more, love me some Finn though.
Leia back in the 70s would have been the "feminist ultra queen" of her time, like 1000x more so than Jyn or Rey.
I'll be honest, I'll only be watching episode 8 to see if Captain Phasma actually does anything.
I'll be honest, I'll only be watching episode 8 to see if Captain Phasma actually does anything.
I still think it's hilarious they bigged her up and she was barely in it and when she WAS in it, she was shown off as someone who straight up gave up in the face of danger and then they just threw her in the trash compactor. Like, jeez, not even the last resident "Looks badass but get's taken out like a punk" Boba Fett got that sort of treatment, he at the very least got in a few badass scenes and one minor fight before his hilariously embarrassing demise. [editline]edit[/editline] She's going to have to do some pretty awesome shit to make up for that stupid crap in TFA.

I dunno, seeing super hyped up heavily advertised miss special snowflake shiny armour get unceremoniously thrown out of the movie kind of makes me happier than if she got a big action scene where she was a huge threat. She got the Boba Fett treatment in reverse. Makes you wonder if there was a disconnect between the marketing department and the writers or if it was done as a joke to subvert expectations. I'm not biased because I don't like her armour, I swear. Not at all.
The best part is how Phasma got bigged up as the new super cool minor character that would become everyone's favorite and then this guy appeared.
lol why did you use a screen cap from a bootleg copy?

So we got TR8-T0R (or TR-8T0R as I like to call him) instead.
I prefer FN-2199
I prefer FN-2199
I prefer Nines the most.

nines will forever be the best clone in my heart
The Darth Vader comic is fucking awesome. Disney have given him some serious respect so far in the new canon I'm loving it.
nines will forever be the best clone in my heart
Not nines, Ninty-Nine.
Not nines, Ninty-Nine.
it just so happens that the coolest characters that were in the armies have similiar names
it just so happens that the coolest characters that were in the armies have similiar names
You mean sixes though, right?
You mean sixes though, right?
I still can't believe everyone missed Fives being called Sixes in the first edition of LotS. Atleast the jokes caused by this goof were great.
Saw Rogue One again and I just noticed that the dialogue from the Deathtroopers garbled. Why is that?
Saw Rogue One again and I just noticed that the dialogue from the Deathtroopers garbled. Why is that?
Apparently they don't speak basic.
I assumed it was encrypted
It reminded me a lot of the combine from HL2
Saw Rogue One again and I just noticed that the dialogue from the Deathtroopers garbled. Why is that?
So this is what we know about the Deaf Troopers. 1. They're Imperial Intelligence Stormtroopers. IE they're as of right now an organized Special Forces 2. Considering they're bodyguards to Krennic and are under Imperial Intelligence they're comms are probably encrypted because it may contain sensitive information. 3. They're probably deaf so they're trying to talk and ending up sounding like Helen Keller.

[The Clone Wars] So, after roughly four seasons of being portrayed like a total bitch who runs from every fight there is, when he can't order his underlings to handle things for him, Grievous returns to [sp]utterly destroy the Nightsisters[/sp], effectively erasing my favorite thing from the whole series. Ok. Also, I can't understand at all the characterization of both Dooku and Grievous. Grievous is shown early to have some animosity towards Dooku, but still, when [sp]Dooku is suffering Talzin's sorcery and Grievous could seize the opportunity to let him die[/sp], he acts as Dooku's little boy. Dooku himself is constantly described as a cunning political diplomat and manipulator, and with designs to usurp Darth Sidious: every time he appears on screen, however, he basically acts as Sidious' enforcer and his answer to everything is to have it killed. Granted, I love the series, I really do, but still.
