Trailer soon please. Rumors state it has been worked on for the last few weeks.
I don't like the whole 'And the Jedi order got wiped out, again' thing. They're worse than bothans. I know it's fantasy and all, but it's really improbable within the setting.

I guess the last jedi just doesn't stick with me. kind of a jump from a pretty cool sounding 'the force awakens' to 'the last jedi'
Considering that Luke was in the process of rebuilding the Jedi it seems far more easy for it to have been stamped out.
And luke would have been far, far more cautious about it's rebirth.
'The Empire Strikes Back' 'A New Hope' Star Wars has never had exciting titles.
Empire Strikes Back is probably the best name of any of the movies. All you can think of when you first ever hear of that movie's name after watching ANH for the first time is "oh shit, things are going to get bad" [editline]23rd January 2017[/editline] Another problem I have with it is it's too much like The Last Samurai
That is true. Now that I think about it, you're right. Revenge of the Sith is probably the laziest title.
That is true. Now that I think about it, you're right. Revenge of the Sith is probably the laziest title.
The only thing I liked about that title is it being a rehash of the original title of Ep VI
Not guessing on whether or not Luke dies but I get the feeling that he's going to be the last Jedi that's referred to in the title and that Rey will follow some other path within the force.
'Jedi' can be plural and singular. [editline]23rd January 2017[/editline] The only way we can know for sure is wait for the official translation into languages that have different words for 'last' in plural and singular sentences.
The thing that I enjoy about the titles of the previous films is that they try to imply something not necessarily indicated by the characters. A New Hope is obviously Luke as "The new hope", but nobody talks about him being that. The Phantom Menace is the premise of the Sith working behind the scenes, but the movie wasn't about that, it was about Anakin and the Separatists (which of course is the Sith's doing, but it's not so blatant). Return of the Jedi is referencing what happens after the movie, by years even. It has nothing to do with the movie except the victory against the Empire. Revenge of the Sith implies there is revenge to be had, and tells us there's even more history that we aren't seeing. The Empire Stikes Back I believe is intentionally titled such, because you go into the theater knowing it will be a darker atmosphere and that there will be a response to the first large victory against the Empire. "The Force Awakens" is referenced literally. "Attack of the Clones" is referenced literally. I really hope "The Last Jedi", as sophomoric a title as it is, isn't about Luke being the last Jedi, or Luke dying. That would be as silly as writing a song and calling it "The Authentic Cadence". Maybe it will be similar to "TESB", but I don't know... Sounds like a Fan Film title.
"The Last Jedi". I guess it's too late to complain about originality and the new sequel trilogy at this point, isn't it?
Return of the Jedi is referencing what happens after the movie
No???? It's literally about Luke having become a Jedi, thus RETURN OF THE JEDI.
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi I don't like the name
I don't find the name "Star Wars" to be particulary original to begin with. Simple and to the point but with a bit of ambiguity has always been the case with Star Wars titles.
In other news, Woody Harrelson has confirmed his character in the Han Solo movie is Garris Shrike
This movie will define the new trillogy for me. It has the potential to condemn the ninth movie as well as save (in my eyes) a lackluster 7th episode.
In other news, Woody Harrelson has confirmed his character in the Han Solo movie is Garris Shrike
No he didn't.
No he didn't.
Yes, he did It could be a joke but last time something like this happened, with Mads Mikkelsen flat out saying who his character is, it later turned out he was telling the truth.
I don't find the name "Star Wars" to be particulary original to begin with. Simple and to the point but with a bit of ambiguity has always been the case with Star Wars titles.
Yeah but that was the 1970s. This is today.
Yeah but that was the 1970s. This is today.
But Star Wars is still very much a product of those times.
But Star Wars is still very much a product of those times.
I didn't get that at all for anything outside of the OT
Yes, he did It could be a joke but last time something like this happened, with Mads Mikkelsen flat out saying who his character is, it later turned out he was telling the truth.
Yeah, it very well could be. The article I saw didn't have the video and basically just said he paused when asked who he was playing.
I didn't get that at all for anything outside of the OT
Probably why you keep stacking up boxes, then. In a story telling vehicle as flat and wide as Star Wars, tone is absolutely key in presentation. The PT shoved this aside and the results didn't turn out too well long term.
I didn't get that at all for anything outside of the OT
The films may have changed from their 70's roots, but the 70's staches will always remain.
No???? It's literally about Luke having become a Jedi, thus RETURN OF THE JEDI.
Huh. I guess that makes sense. Here I thought it meant that a new era ushered in a new Jedi Order, hence "Return of the Jedi". I always thought it meant plural, not Luke being referred to.

http://www.starwars.com/audio/star-wars-rebels-sabine-s-catharsis-audio-cue Guess who's my candidate for replacing Williams in the future. You have only one attempt.
I'm sticking with Michael Giacchino.
I'm sticking with Michael Giacchino.
I'm sorry but his best pieces in Rogue One were either straight up Williams' or were heavily based on them. Kiner has his own style and he makes the best of it.
