I misread his post, whoops
Catching up on rebels 18-The characters were shit and the space combat was so gimicky. 19-This was mostly... bad. But that space scene... Oh it was wonderful.
Never thought I'd hear an Annie Oakley reference in Star Wars, lol.
[sp] New Rebels episode lived up to the height for it. Genuinely well done, some good visuals. It ends the long tale that is Maul, and one the best animated fights that we've seen so far from Rebels and it ended so quickly.[/sp]

I thought I was going to be disappointed but I wasn't. [sp]i think aunt Beru calling at the end was audio ripped from ANH[/sp] [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] I love that they used that music during the end credits [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] Also anyone else catch the nod towards the Legends comic that had a similar encounter? [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] 1 minute trailer for the finale https://www.instagram.com/p/BRxcDoOjXwD/?hl=en [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] Someone pointed this out on Reddit [sp]Obi-Wan switches to Qui-Gon's fighting style at the end[/sp]
[sp]I was initially disappointed by the Kenobi vs Maul fight, but it honestly makes sense looking back at it. And the fact that Kenobi switches to Qui-Gon's fighting style makes it all the more special [/sp]
[sp]Both of them actually switch to the styles they used in the first prequel, I actually quite liked that.[/sp]
I think that showed [sp]Maul's incompetence, he thought he could beat OBi-Wan the same way as he beat Qui-Gon. Maul even tries to bash him with his hilt[/sp]
I can't say I really liked the episode, and yes, the reason being [sp]it's 80% Ezra Bridger being lost in a desert and the remaining 20% being Obi-Wan killing Maul like he's a fucking wuss. It was even worse than General Grievous' death[/sp]. The only thing I actually liked where [sp]Maul's last words[/sp]
One thing in Rogue One that I noticed that I didn't before, is that they kept the asymmetrical helmet 'cheeks' on Vader's helmet from ANH. Which is good, continuity is nice. IIRC, in ROTS they fixed that.
Episode spoilers [sp]I felt there could have been more to their confrontation; more dialogue as they fight. Nevertheless, it felt a fitting end to Maul. Interestingly, the ending gives us a solid idea of where they are in the original series timeline. So, it will be interesting to see how they might coincide with the movies in future episodes.[/sp]

Well it was at the beginning of the season, so probably closer to 1 to 1.5 now. [sp]Ezra is only a few days older then Luke[/sp]
We already know. Season 3 is 2 years before ANH. [sp]Ezra is only a few days older then Luke[/sp]
[sp]I figured the ending of the episode was supposed to be the beginning of A New Hope. [/sp]
[sp]I figured the ending of the episode was supposed to be the beginning of A New Hope. [/sp]
But it was night. [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] I just realized a little Continuity jump around [sp]In ANH Obi-Wan says no one has called him 'Obi-Wan' since before Luke was born, nd IIRC, through out the episode no one calls him Obi-Wan to his face, just Kenobi[/sp]

Another Excerpt from the Thrawn novel http://www.express.co.uk/entertainment/films/779701/Star-Wars-Thrawn-novel-World-EXCLUSIVE-extract-Timothy-Zahn-release-date-Eli-Parck [editline]18th March 2017[/editline] Unlike last season's finale, this season's Rebels finale will be up early (3AM EDT) the DisneyXD App, so watch out for spoilers.
That was today's episode :v:

You forgot this. Rebels spoilers
I was about to post it.
Enjoy before it gets taken down
I feel like my ears are playing dirty tricks on me but at 0:57 does he say "it's jammed" referring to the door or "it's Jedi" referring to Vader? I feel like it's definitely not the latter, but I can't unhear it.
Ah yes, the best 2 minutes of Rogue One. I guess there's not much to spoil, Vader just slices few rebels. The part where Vader walks forward and just cuts the dude on the ceiling still gets me. If I remember correctly Red Letter Media guys (the ones that did the Plinkett Reviews of the Prequels and TFA) didn't like the scene much because they prefered Vader using Stormtroopers as cannon fodder before he got involved. Sure, it showed him as the man in charge but we got 3 movies of that. I'm happy to have this scene so we can actually see why no one fucked around him. Plus he fights just like you would imagine, no crazy jumps, just a menacing walk with powerful strikes.
Wow, it still isn't taken down. Maybe they don't care since its so close to release.

Even still he moves at a decent pace and no one can even touch him.
Interesting read http://metro.co.uk/2017/03/18/rogue-one-director-gareth-edwards-reveals-star-wars-spin-off-almost-had-an-opening-title-crawl-6517718/ On why they didn't have a crawl or use John Williams.
