Can't believe we lost Kenny Baker AND Carrie Fisher this year. I hope Carrie's family is hanging in there. Especially her mother, I couldn't start to believe how it would feel to lose your own daughter.

Is the the Clones Wars cartoon (the original one, not the CGI one) considered a part of the official Disney canon?
Is the the Clones Wars cartoon (the original one, not the CGI one) considered a part of the official Disney canon?
It wasn't even considered a fully canonical part of Legends, so no.
It wasn't even considered a fully canonical part of Legends, so no.
It was originally until the new TCW came about. It helped bridge EP II and III together during the break and it explained stuff like Grievous' cough and Anakin's scar. Then LF decided to remake a show in that era and thus the original got thrown in the bin.
Is there any good mods or games similar to battlefront II? I want to dick about with huge waves of bots but there seems to be ntohing that comes close.

Though, IIRC, he didn't mind. Until he brought back the original reasoning in the 3D series.

[The Clone Wars] I've come to the conclusion that Hondo Ohnaka was really liked by the writers or something. There is literally no rational explanation for his long survival through the series. (Obi-Wan is by far the worst offender when it comes to Hondo: I can understand that a Jedi would never outright kill an outlaw, but there's a certain difference between rightfully, non-lethally punish a notorious pillager, so he can't harm anyone again, and allow said pillager, who captured you and your apprentice, held both of you for ransom while he tortured you for a good measure, to get away completely scot-free and even have an amicable relationship with him afterwards)
you might like angels fall first
AFF is a good game, just has a low population right now because the devs aren't putting any focus into marketing until it's fully done. Even as an early access game though, it's pretty good.
If the Episode 8 rumours are not true, I wonder how They'll write Leia out. Having her off on some mission doesn't make sense for the story. Only thing I can think of is killing her, or putting her in some state that acts the same.

So had a thought today, why have the rebellion never thought to commandeer TIE fighters to use against the empire? The only example of this I've seen was in Rebels with the one Sabine painted
So had a thought today, why have the rebellion never thought to commandeer TIE fighters to use against the empire? The only example of this I've seen was in Rebels with the one Sabine painted
Because TIE fighters have no long range capabilities, and are generally inferior to what the Rebellion has, sans numbers, and throwing numbers at the Empire just straight doesn't work.

Plus the TIEs don't have hyperdrive capabilities, which doesn't work well for hit and run tactics and makes the fighters dependent on a carrier ship.

The only example of this I've seen was in Rebels with the one Sabine painted
Because TIE Fighters are actual garbage that use the same mentality as Stormtroopers: quantity over quality. Their armor is crap but the sheer numbers that are deployed at once are unnerving and overwhelming. Although the Rebellion has commandeered Imperial shuttles, at least, several times before.

[/sp] It would be nice if Luke has a sad moment when he realizes his friend and his sister are dead and for Kylo Ren to feel it; plunging him deeper into the darkside.

I just finished season 2 of rebels. Fan-fucking tastic, the lot of it. Maybe I shouldn't have binged almost all of it in a single sitting (i started at episode 2) but the whole thing was just incredible. The lines were gold, particularly anything to do with Hando. The droid episode was art. I cried when [sp] Erza looks at the two moons, visions of his parents [/sp]. Agent Callus developed fantastically [sp]Maul was great too, though I wish they hadn't wrote him into some superweapon plot, that's not a clever end game. Also, didn't he attack the jedi too soon for his plan to use them against vader? [/sp]. The episode that focused on Zeb and wildspace was beautiful, as was the score. The only weak episode was the save-the-wales one, and that one wasn't bad. I think there were a few mild things that broke reason (shall we bombard them from orbit, sir?* and -let me pause in my escape to give the badguys helpful exposition- and -aren't we forgetting a redshirt?- come to mind) * [sp] I guess he wanted to be sporting, to test that clones V trooper argument, and a bombardment is +0 points in the honour game. But the smart move was really to shoot from orbit, and I'm suprised there was no dissent. This conversation probably already happened here, right? [/sp]
[The Clone Wars] Maul and Pre Vizsla BFFs forever (Also, I don't understand if the writers created the Death Watch to piss on whoever liked the "big bad though warriors" Mandalorians, but I'm finding them fucking cool)
Death Watch existed before Clone Wars in the old EU, and the founder was from Clan Vizsla. According to Wookieepedia the Clone Wars era Death Watch is a direct reference to it. There is no connection to the old canon one in the new canon though, as of now Death Watch is just clone wars era.
I don't know how FP feels about tattoos but here goes. Had this done today. [t]http://orig09.deviantart.net/01c5/f/2016/363/9/7/at_at_pilot_by_rustledjimmys-dat9t7a.png[/t] [t]http://orig10.deviantart.net/71d6/f/2016/363/1/9/tattoo_08_by_rustledjimmys-data1om.jpg[/t]

[t]http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/1/1f/ManILoveMyJob-TL.png/revision/latest?cb=20131025204323[/t] When I thought the show couldn't get any better, these guys managed the impossible: redeem Darth Sidious to my eyes. I'm fucking done. I know which birthday present to ask for on next year.
17 episodes to go [editline]28th December 2016[/editline] I wonder how much of the Chiss Ascendancy will be made canon again with the Thrawn novel.

The trilogy was supposed to hand over the baton to the new generation anyway. The General could be overseeing something else, for all we know.
I'd agree with you if Kylo Ren wasn't her son.
