That quote seems extremely unclear about what it's talking about. The way i'm interpreting it doesn't suggest he means just the new trilogy. He says the new game will be better because they can use content from the newer movies now rather than just being limited to the original trilogy like this game was, he's saying the "historical movies" were what they had to use for the first game, so that suggests even the prequel trilogy counts as the "new movies" in this context otherwise they could have used those if they were part of the "historical movies". What's the concept art your referring to, though? 55 seconds in is an X-wing animation, but isn't that one of the original versions?
Not at 55 seconds, starting at 55 seconds. It shows some concept art of a space battle with First Order Star Destroyers a couple seconds later. I didn't give an exact time of the art because I wanted you to hear the narrator saying they're working on Battlefront.
It has already been confirmed that the ST is in BF2 [editline]20th March 2017[/editline] Not all of those are simple reskins or "Recycling" The TIE Fighter and X-wings are different models, the X-wing almost completely. And it isn't as easy as scanning a model, it needs to be made game worthy. The scanned copy is just the base they build ontop of, they need to optimize it, texture it, fix imperfections.
I didn't notice at all. The new X-wings have blue paint, except maybe I think poe uses a black and orange colour scheme. The tie fighters have inverted colours and are more shiney. There's a variant that has wheel-like things before the panel wings. It's more an adjustment of an already existing model than something that needs a new model in it's own right. I think you'd need to be an extremely hardcore fan to know about the most minute different details that are probably there, and I've lost arguments for being pedantic for much larger things. It helps that the new trillogy doesn't have things like Y wings and TIE interceptors (altough let's be real; the TIE series has always been delightfully simple and most variations are just different shaped wings, which are all simple shapes) The only big deviation was new imperial capital ships, and they brought back the 'badguys use red, goodguys use blue' for lasers (with main character exceptions). And the FO officers have new uniforms that are just bad fashion, which is a travesty because if there's one thing Fascist orders get right it's fashion. Oh. I wonder if they'll ad lense flares for ST

Same with the TIE Fighters (I'm talking the regular ties, not special forces) have different pieces, it isn't just a reskin. If BF2 is going to be a thing can it actually have depth, good maps and like, more than six vehicles?
more than six vehicles?
Only if they decide not to use only movie vehicles.

While this looks great, it sort of feels like there's no stakes to it. I really doubt they're going to kill off any characters or have a major setback, they might lose the base or something like that but they'll still 'win' overall. While Thrawn has been a good character in terms of how he's portrayed, it's still been an entire series where the Empire is pretty useless.
I don't think any main characters will die, but i think a lot of faceless Rebels will die, they'll lose a few ship. I want them to kill off Sato, that would be a big blow to their cell
It'd be interesting if they had Thrawn basically completely wipe out the Lothal cell and force the main characters to join up with the Yavin IV group. Do a lot of justice to Thrawn as a tactician and be a good explanation for why they're in Rogue One too, beyond just the Rebellion coming together.
If BF2 is going to be a thing can it actually have depth, good maps and like, more than six vehicles?
yeah sure, 1 vehicle per $20 DLC
yeah sure, 1 vehicle per $20 DLC
Oh come on, they didn't even do that with Battlefront 1.
It'd be interesting if they had Thrawn basically completely wipe out the Lothal cell and force the main characters to join up with the Yavin IV group. My suspicion is such: Thrawn will come up with a genius way of destoying the rebels utterly, leaving nothing to chance. Except the officers under his command being incompetent, giving a window into characters making it out. Or, we play it great, and everyone dies. I only really care for Zeb and chopper for now. anyone else could die and I wouldn't feel anything for it. Erza and Kanan have been squandered, Hera and Sabine have been too firmly locked into place for me to think they've got any potential.
Hera and Chopper were both in Rogue One, so they need to live (Hera was only mentioned, not seen). The Ghost itself needs to survive as well. The Phantom was missing from the model, but that could mean anything. The Imperial fleet gets close enough that they can bombard the planet based on the trailer.
I just want the Jedi characters to die
I just want the Jedi characters to die
They'll need to before ESB Luke clearly had some mini training between ANH and ESB. He knew how to use the force to pull the saber. He seemed surprised to see Ben's ghost in ESB so he wasn't training him

Oh right, how did I forget those comics.
s3 has been disappointment after disappointment after letdown. I almost wanna be one of those guys and go 'wah wah wah why did you give us this instead of more clone wars?!?" I don't seem alone. They seem to be loosing viewers. like according to wikipedia, s2 episodes at a glance get an average of .50 million viewers. s3 gets .40
I enjoy this season but I feel like some stuff is just inconsiquential.

http://ew.com/movies/2017/03/20/rogue-one-alternate-ending-revealed/
Another article on the 3 endings http://www.slashfilm.com/rogue-one-endings/ This confirms the third act was recut and shot to make the Comm tower and the Data Vault the same building, eliminating the beach scenes.
They are in the middle of nowhere. They're in the outer rim where there is little imperial presence.
[In one of the drafts of Rogue One [sp]Vader killed Krennic[/sp]
I'd like to think that [sp]he would have anyway, if Krennic survived. It stands to reason, he kills admirals for lesser failures.[/sp]
[sp]In the draft I mentioned that is why. Krennic survived the attack and Vader killed him for the failure[/sp]
Yeah that's what I mean, I'd like to think that it's what Vader would do in the canon, and not just in a scrapped draft.
Vader just needs to kill everything. I want to see The Raid , but with sith (or bounty hunters) at some point.
The writers put themselves in a corner by needlessly including Rebels characters into Rogue One, so now Chop, Hera and the ghost itself have plot armor. If you include Ezra being the protag and a child, that's half the ghost crew having impenetrable plot armor.
It actually wasn't the Rebels team's idea, the guys over at Rogue One who asked if they could include references. Now I guess you could say it is their fault for saying yes.
I feel like Rex is going to die, for all the wrong and right resasons. He'll die because he's been a bit absent in recent episodes, but also because he's a character who has had an absurd amount of screen time even before he showed up in rebels. Every other character from the clone wars that knew him is dead or inaccessible, so plot wise he doesn't have much to work with.
Dave Filoni wants Rex to be that bearded Rebel you see on Endor in ROTJ. But if it is important for the story I could see him changing his mind. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Rex#Behind_the_scenes This guy. He was named 'Nik Sant' in the EU, more the likely a reference to Santa. [t]http://i.imgur.com/04fSt6a.jpg[/t]
While Rex being that bearded rebel on Endor would be touching, if I remember my time with The Clone Wars right, the clones are supposed to age faster than normal humans: it's very likely that, even if he'll survive the events of Rebels, Rex will die of old age before the Battle of Endor
