It still bugs me how the troopers in Rogue One just run in big mobs straight into enemy fire, the guys at the front don't even bother shooting they may as well just be layers of human shields so the guys at the back can survive long enough to shoot once :v:
I doubt anyone expects to get shot after coming out of the door way with someone feeding them false information.
Also that basically happened in WW2 during D-Day.

If you wanted to know how Thrawn rose through the ranks without having to read the Thrawn novel.
Thrawn novel spoilers obviously
I'd be careful of that kind of video, they often sneak in uncanonized legends in with little to no warning.
If he is talking about material from Legends he puts the Legends logo on the screen or tells you it is from Legends.
He did use some art from Legends, but everything he talked about was from the Novel, I can confirm I listened to the Audio book.
Star Wars Explained (formerly Star Wars Minute or something) is a great channel.

Man, John Boyega is great.
The whole new cast is handling fans and fame so well so far.
They all seem so lovely.
Wow, so I just learned that Midi-chlorians were not made up for the PT, Lucas had them in mind since the OT but he felt there wasn't enough time to introduce them in the movies.
I wonder if people would have felt differently about them if had they been mentioned them in the original film.

They are ultimately pointless beyond "this guy has huge potential" so I don't think people would have liked them all that much.
It's essentially force IQ which is pretty pointless

Yeah, but people probably wouldn't be complaining that it ruins the magic.
A new First Order design showed up in the latest Poe Dameron comic

But then they moved it back to the centre of the ship for the Resurgent Class :v: at least it isn't on a tower now

The bridge tower section reminds me of the original prototype Star Destroyer model.

Took a look around and didn't see anyone post this. Pretty neat shit.

That new First Order design really gives me some real world Carrier vibes and I love it
FANS CHOICE FIGURE POLL TIME!

(Click the pic)
DISCLAIMER: As opposed to the last two polls where the winners became 6" Black Series figures, this poll is for a figure in the 3 3/4" super-articulated figures like the old days. This is because Hasbro announced at Celebration a few weeks back they'l be bringing back the Vintage Collection range from 2010-2012 where they made the 3 3/4" figures packaged on Kenner-inspired cardbacks.

So this is why the poll finalists this time are plain old Palpatine (Hasbro hasn't really done a proper "super articulated" ROTJ vesion of him yet) and two random characters from ROTJ (they were part of the original vintage line and don't have true modern counterparts yet, and collectors want a full set of couterparts to the vintage figures, so...). I'm guessing Aphra will win due to current name recognition and popularity, but who knows at this point.
Also, apparently Ben Skywalker (Luke and Mara's child in Legends continuity) was a big "ballot stuffer" character by the people they say got Jania Solo to win last year, but he didn't make it. Don't really mind, I would've wanted Anakin Solo to complete the original Solo children in 3 3/4" scale.
Aphra is winning right now, beating Ahsoka by 4%.
I voted for Aphra.
I don't really follow the comics, who is Doctor Aphra?

More morally ambigious Indiana Jones.
With boobs.

Huh that arc with the Zygerrians slavers was an adaptation of a Dark Horse Clone Wars comic arc
Saw this on reddit. Natalie Portman drawn as Padme actually appeared in the Comic version of 'The Last Command' a year before Episode 1 released. Her casting was known by then, so it isn't a coincidence.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Master Skywalker, there are too many of them, what are we going to do?
(Spoilers for the Dr. Aphra comic)

He uses some images from Legends, but the events themselves are from only canon material.
Why is this grey Jedi thing gaining so much traction despite having been debunked by the story group?
IIRC, Grey Force users were not debunked, just the term Grey Jedi.
There can be Grey Force Users, not Grey Jedi.
i just realized something
i was hugely bothered by the fact that the X-Wing firing sound in Rogue One was... wrong, different from all prior depictions
was watching this and noticed that the impact sounds at 4:00 are very similar or maybe the exact sound they used for the fighter guns in RO

any idea why they would've done this?
I didn't actually notice the sounds.
i actually just watched it again - they have different firing sounds for space and atmosphere shots
weird
The 'TLJ' trailer in front of GOTG2 today, it was beautiful.
