there's legitamitely cool war stuff that I wish they would make canon again, I really love how they're going more in depth on the galactic civil war and really pushing that 'ww2 in space' theme
The way I see it is that the battles were just that. Most you're battles were primarily planet/system hopping and typically were never full scale sieges except seldom. That and we see local forces did in fact assist and played a large part.
While true, 3 million is still a hilariously small number, even for that.
I don't think there is a canon number of how many clones were created over all.
When Obi-Wan arrived at Kamino, he was told 200k were ready, with an additional 1 million under way.
Further more, according to Rebels, Battledroids severely out numbered Clones.
If Palpatine hadn't succeeded in his dastardly plot and had all the droids shut down, the CIS probably would have won, or (imo) fought long enough that the Republic citizens would become war weary, and probably demand the war be ended.

Clone Wars added a lot of Depth to it.

I think Kalani even said that the Republic would've have eventually lost had the shutdown command not been used. Like not several years down the road lost, like several months in the future lost. Droids basically outnumbered the clones 100:1, just doing the math if we go by 3 million clones then that's 300 million boodle droids if 1.5 then it's 150 million.
HOWEVER!
Clones were far more effective than any of the droids which slightly helped the curved along side Jedi Generals. One clone could arguably take on several dozen droids and win. Now give that a squad of 12 and that equals around 144 droids destroyed. Likewise in the first episode of TCW King Whatshisname basically name 1 Jedi would equal a thousand droids.
The Separatists' weakness was in there only being a few real people in charge. Take out a single CIS VIP and vast swaths of their army become mostly useless.
I wonder if we're going to see any new Clone Commando stories.

And that's why the Republic would've likely won if order 66 hadn't been given. Utuapu was one of the final nails in the coffin for CIS leadership. Dooku was dead, Grievous was dead. All they had left was the commander droids and a bunch of Seperatist politicians, and maybe Admiral Trench?

And yeah you had a couple hundred or so tactical and super tactical droids whose sole objectives were to develop strategies to defeat the Republic as well the Separatist parliament on Raxus was still active. Militarily they were loosing leaders, but politics wise they basically still had sound leadership. But lets not forget the biggest thing that occured when a newly minted Sith Lord goes to the main hand leaders hideout. Who had overall control over the deployments and manufacturing of the Droid Army and then kills them all and issues a shutdown command.

They probably didn't see it that way since they were all serving Lord Sidious and he was still alive and on their side, from what they knew.

Wasn't that part of 'ole palps plan though? To manufacture a threat to the Republic that he could easily disable (having vader kill them all off in RotS) to ramp up support/idolization/need for him, and troops (clones n shit) to enforce it all?
What is interesting, is the threat of Civil War was always there, Dooku and Palpatine just helped it along. It wasn't entirely manufactured.
Palpatine co-opted existing dissent within the Republic.

Can't really blame people for being displeased with how the Republic was run. I've got to wonder how the senate even worked, there is no way that grand chamber is the best way to house representatives from an entire galaxy.
Now that I think of it, why was there even a 'chancellor' at all? It makes sense as a jumping off point for Palpatine to become emperor but if anything there should just be a speaker or some sort of intermediary when dealing with so many different systems, someone who makes sure that representatives are following the rules of the republic, but not someone who makes them.
This is the universe where queens are elected however so I'm probably thinking about it too much.
Huh, Wedge (his voice at least) was in Rogue One, you can hear him over the intercom redirecting the pilots to Scarif.
I knew it was his voice actor from ANH, but I thought that was just a cameo for the actor, not meant to be Wedge. But it has been confirmed to be him.

The BBFC has classified another TLJ trailer. It is labelled as also being 3D, so it will probably be in-front of movies. Says it will be a minute and a half.

Lord and Miller are leaving the Han Solo spin-off movie due to "different creative visions"
So they waited till they were 75-80% through shooting before deciding it wasn't for them? Seems a bit weird.

Rogue One really was a prequel done right. They connected it so well, all those nice little details that make it feel like part of the original trilogy despite being made so much later.

Something stinks, I get the feeling it wasn't just their decision. No doubt we'll hear more about that one day. It doesn't bode well for the film really.

Just read in Variety that they were fired.
a bunch of people are tossing around a theory that snoke is Qui-Gon and i cant tell if it's some elaborate meme I'm not in on or if they're actually believing it
snoke is yaddle for sure guys this is my theory
Snoke is actually Luke. He grew up fighting the Empire and when it was destroyed, he got bored so started a new one to fight.

Which is why the Luke at the end of TFA and in TLJ isn't actually Luke, but his evil clone, Luuke Skywalker, on a quest to redeem or destroy the man he was created from.

But then you find out that the Luke you killed for being Snoke wasn't actually Luke, but Luuuke acting as a body double.

You mean Bigger Luke?
Guys Snoke is obviously Bigger Luke.
EDIT: Ninja'd.
You mean Bigger Luke?
Nah, bigger Luke's role is yet unknown.
Real talk though:[sp]there's been rumors that Snoke might be some sort of Wizard of Oz deal - not nearly as threatening as his 20 foot tall hologram makes him out to be. He's apparently human sized and clad in garish golden robes in the new movie.[/sp]

Wait..so people actually think he's a 20 foot humanoid? I just thought he was pretty much what you've written, are there any other times in Star Wars where there are massive humanoids?
