I found references to a cloak in the Battlefront 2 game files, and the game is getting an unannounced First Order ship. Plus the name of it 'TIE Silencer' sounds stealthy[/sp]

The elongated cockpit reminds me a lot of the TIE Phantom [sp]which ties in with your cloaking device theory[/sp], as well as the Falcon's cockpit. Seeing the design in non-plastic brick format's made me warm to it even more.
