The elongated cockpit reminds me a lot of the TIE Phantom.
Not really? [t]http://i.imgur.com/mGtPqO3.png[/t]
Star Wars hotel sounds so cool. Sadly I'm guessing the prices will be insane.
That's a trifigher at that point. For only the most elite and tryhard imperial pilots
Didn't the CIS have a droid fighter called a Tri-Fighter? :v:
Rogue One was added to Netflix
Finally finished Tarkin, quite good. Onto Ahsoka!
Rogue One was added to Netflix
In Canada too for my fellow Canucks.
So, are we going to get a Comicon trailer?
So, are we going to get a Comicon trailer?
I don't even think they're at Comic-Con. D23 just happened.
I'm thinking about doing a series of videos for shits and giggles where I and a few friends commentate over Star Wars space battles as if they were sporting events; here's a little proof-of-concept I threw together: Would anyone here be interested in seeing something like that?
According to someone at comic-con, Marvel is adapting the Thrawn novel into a comic.
Finally finished Tarkin, quite good. Onto Ahsoka!
Well that was short, but good. Guess it's time to pony up for another one.
Star Wars land should have been set in an Imperial-occupied city, where if you fail to show your identification to the patrolling stormtroopers, you find yourself brutally beaten and tossed into a prison cell.
new books and comics shown at Comic-Con http://www.starwars.com/news/new-star-wars-the-last-jedi-books-and-more-revealed-at-sdcc-2017
Most of that appears to be rather uninteresting aside from the Thrawn adaptation, the Mace Windu mini-series, and Stormtroopers: Behind the Armor.
I love DK's books, the cross sections and visual guides.
Interesting to see two books about the Resistance bombers from TLJ - not something I expected to see a lot of focus on. More books about space pilot action are always up my street.
Dave Filoni has revealed another unused scene from Rebels, a short dialogue between Kanan and Ahsoka, they had met back during the Clone Wars
I love DK's books, the cross sections and visual guides.
They're wonderful--when they're not focused exclusively on the sequel trilogy. Even Dark Empire or the Yuuzhan Vong crisis would have been better; the former for its greater connectedness to the core Star Wars saga, and the latter for its greater originality.
Why would they do anything from Legends? That doesn't make any sense.
I said it would have been better, not that they would. I was hoping for at least a modicum of creativity on their end, but I suppose that was too much to ask for. Not to mention, it wasn't unreasonable of me to expect an actual continuation of the overarching plot of the first two trilogies, but I suppose that was impossible given how neatly ROTJ tied up loose ends. I suppose we're stuck with the CGI exposition machine that is Supreme Leader "I have zero ties to the plot of the previous movies" Snore for the duration of this trilogy.
I didn't adore the Vong, but at least they were original as an antagonist. Original would be the last adjective I'd use to describe the sequel trilogy so far.
I didn't adore the Vong, but at least they were original as an antagonist. Dark Eldar: Masochist painfuckers Tyranids: Extragalactic biological terror with organic ships and terraforming
and then Lando built Terminator rip-offs to fight them
and luke became Goku Jedi Jesus in which he slayed an entire army of vong in a way that's described as him 'swinging 12 lightsabers at once'
They were Dark-Eldar Tyranids. At the very least, better than a CGI Palpatine analogue stripped of any personality.
Perhaps I should have clarified by saying it was novel as far as Star Wars is concerned. At the very least, better than a CGI Palpatine analogue stripped of any personality.
I'd rather have something unoriginal but actually good than unique but a horrible idea.
At the very least, better than a CGI Palpatine analogue stripped of any personality.
Are you referring to Snoke? He had what, 1, 2 scenes? Hardly anything to judge him on. Just like Palpatine in ESB.
Are you referring to Snoke? He had what, 1, 2 scenes? Hardly anything to judge him on. Just like Palpatine in ESB.
Star Wars as a cohesive narrative structure begins with The Phantom Menace. The movies are meant to be viewed in order, and as such, The Phantom Menace establishes the motives and personality of the saga's lead antagonist early into the movie. In his very first scene, we learn that Sidious is demeaning, scheming, and ruthless. In TPM, Ian McDiarmid sneers at his Neimoidian underlings, chastises their timidity, delivers commanding and memorable quotes, and expresses scorn for his Jedi enemies. Meanwhile, Snoke's first impression on viewers is that of a plot device, or an expository character, one whose only narrative purpose is to explain to the audience what is going on. He doesn't feel like anything beyond that, since Andy Serkis portrays Snoke with zero emotion, minus one fleeting moment of agitation. In its misguided attempt at "recapturing the magic" of the original trilogy, The Force Awakens adopts an angle from The Empire Strikes Back that doesn't work for introducing a new story. TFA doesn't have the luxury of prequels beyond novels, and important details regarding the trilogy's primary antagonist shouldn't be sequestered to secondary media.
I'd rather have something unoriginal but actually good than unique but a horrible idea.
Darn, I guess you're out of luck on both accounts then.
snoke feels like a marvel villain he's just there to be.. evil. then again, its still the first movie. he could have been much better though
