Star Wars Megathread Episode IV: A New Thread: UNTAGGED SPOILERS? 1 WEEK BAN

I like that title, nice and simple.
Would rather it have been "Han Solo" instead of just Solo tbh, but I'll take it.
Honestly this title reveal hasn't phased me at all, RLM tainted me to the point where I can't possibly think of this movie as anything other than Disney's Star Wars Han Solo Solo-Film: Han Solo: A Smuggler's Tale.
I wonder if they got a budget increase for this final season, seeing more non-generic faces

This should've been the season premier.

Nah, we needed to resolve Sabine's thing so she could come back.
This season is suppose to tie up a lot of loose ends.
The run-time for The Last Jedi has been revealed as 2 hours and 30 minutes, beating AOTC by 8 minutes and making it the longest running Star Wars movie!
Edit: Composition

Apparently this film will explain how Han Solo got his name (wtf) so maybe Solo is the important part. I don't like the sound of that but Lawrence Kasdan co-wrote the screenplay, could go either way.

Excellent. Between Rey and Luke on Porg island, Kylo Ren doing his thing, Finn and new girl doing stuff, Poe zipping around with whatever he's got going on, whatever Snoke's plan is, and however the fuck they're fitting Planet Vegas in there, I was getting worried this was gonna be way too dense, but 3 hours is more than enough time to cover everything they've set up.

DisneyXD app time hasn't changed.
So Porkins was involved in the investigation of JFK’s assassination.
At age 15, Hootkins found himself caught up in the FBI's investigation into the assassination of President John F. Is it just me, or is sound FX a lot better this season? There is just something about them, the blaster sounds, TIE Fighter flybies sound better, more authentic.

I think this was hugely misunderstood.
Not how he literally gets his name. But like how anybody gets their name. They mean reputation. It's an expression.
“[The film] picks up Han Solo when he was 18 years old and takes him through to when he was 24,” Iger said. “There were a few things that happened [that were] significant in Han Solo’s life, like acquiring a certain vehicle and meeting a certain Wookiee, that will happen in this film. But you’ll also discover how he got his name.”
To me, in context, it's how he got his career/reputation? Specially as Kathleen said later:
“There’s more to Han Solo’s name, but it’s not that it’s not his name. It’s obviously his name. It will always be his name.”

I'm assuming that'll have something to do with the Kessel run, which i think isn't a good thing at all. The original intent behind the line in the film was that he wasn't telling the truth - he was bragging about something that he didn't do (but sounded impressive) in order to make himself look good. Turning the Kessel run into something that's actually canon and a thing he did lowers the character slightly, he was not a nice guy, he was supposed to be a selfish, shady conman, pretty much. It just completely invalidates any meaning of the line if he's serious about it.
the Kessel Run being a real thing has already been made canon, too late for that.

I hope they put the pazaak game that solo won to get the falcon. and i hope they show the fact that both sides were cheating
