Managed to find that Alien Blaster thing as well, ended up tossing it because it made the game too easy. The pistols-only loot table is also pretty fun!
The Alien blaster was a weapon on an unlockable H13VR character that wasn't accessible due to a bug(?) or just wasn't implemented.
Any way to enable two handed recoil without actually gripping a gun with two hands? I just got a gun rig but my forward hand doesn't always properly align with the forward "grip spot" of the gun itself. I'm pretty sure I saw an option for that a couple of updates ago but I can't find it anymore.
I feel like it should be inside the options, I also recall seeing it called always have two-handed recoil, or something. Unless he removed it. There should also be a gunstock option?
I actually asked the question on the H3VR subreddit, and Anton replied that the gun rig option will be changed in the next update to accomodate for this, by having the forward grip point be proximity-based instead of needing to engage it. https://www.reddit.com/r/H3VR/comments/8nvbtj/gun_rig_mode_not_reducing_recoil_anymore/dzyqnl0/

Would be amazing. I think we have enough guns (for now, at least). I want more scenarios to use the guns in.
I'd honestly hope more for gadgets at this point rather then more guns (unless they are really unique) alongside the teased hugeass take and hold map. NVG, tripmines, proximitymines, remote-detonatable C4, claymores, handheld heartbeat sensors (although that goes into more the realm of fantasy), all that nonsense. I love loading up like a commando and more 'tools' would be nice. I've tried coming up with improvised stuff with little luck. Trying to make a timed explosive using something with a fuse and the oversized .45ACP rounds really doesn't work that well much to my frustration. If you like H3VR I do recommend looking at Gun Club VR, a game "influenced by" H3VR that manages to do some of its own things with its more arcadie gun model. They've even recently added a sandbox mode allowing you to spawn physics objects as well as attach things to the gun manually. Hell, you can now spraypaint your weapon different colors. This isn't to say GCVR is better, infact H3VR beats it by a nautical mile but its something worth checking out.
cmon man, keep with the wiener theme of the game. they're called "MeatBeat" sensors.
Meatbeat sensors, Thermometer vision, "Hot" sauce (napalm), I cant come up with any more meat/bbq related names for gadgets.
Mustard gas
"hots dogs"
C4 should be called "Instant Mash" Remember, it's all food puns, and the savory the better.
https://www.twitch.tv/rustyhand/ Anton is currently showing off the new enemies, which have a bleedout system. You can also grab them, use their guns and snap their necks or backs with enough force. These look super fun to fight.
From the last stream https://clips.twitch.tv/GoldenEmpathicSpindleKappaRoss
Bois it's out in alpha branch now https://youtu.be/3piKFKaxCZM
so anton described the new sosigs during the last stream as "spongey tissue filled with mustard, like how sponges would be filled with water" i know how you REALLY wanted to describe anton. especially with the metaphor of meat surrounding this game

holy shit, this looks sick as fuck. diving into the virtual world now
Anton is streaming again. I asked him if the game would have doom-style infighting, and he said it was planned for enemies to be able to switch factions if they get hit hard enough on the head or get stunned, with possible equipment being dedicated to that purpose. https://www.twitch.tv/rustyhand/
New Sosig enemies are available (in a separate scene/map/whatever) on Alpha branch! Also, some testing stuff for the new ballistics system. Not too much to do with them yet, but it's a neat look into what the future might bring for H3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAu1T6GFVbU
I feel like he needs to make the bullets penetrate more. A regular 9mm will go through drywall lol.
Wonder if he has another update for tonight?
He has to go and apply the new ballistic model to all the guns and then rebalance them, so it's going to be a while until we see some new content. With this said, he's prob overhauling things to make it even easier to add new weapons. From what I heard, the gun physics they were using were made originally for single shot firearms. This should make everything both better and more realistic.
Just gave H3VR a try, can confirm the way the guns work take some getting used to. I should probably put in some range hours before I do Take and Hold.
Once you get used to generally how each different class of weapon works, you can usually pick up a new weapon and know roughly how it's going to work. The one I had no idea how to use until I saw Anton explain it in a devlog was the lever action weapons - after firing you need to pull your left hand trigger and rotate your right hand backwards (i.e. pointing the top of the controller towards you) to cock the weapon again. Makes perfect sense after you actually do the motions
I'm in the same boat. Got swamped in T&H with a PPSh because I kept screwing up reloading and I chose to try out the Tactical vest.
Sorry for the bump but some weapons are really awkward to use, like the R8. Is that made for left handed people or something?
