nothing like UGC
In case anyone doesn't know, free hairstyle/face vouchers totally work on options that normally cost merits. Also items can have expiration dates, so check your shit (I learned this one the hard way )
THIEF ASS
I gotta powerlevel this weekend to get those sick 1 mil player rewards
I actually just autoplayed music with a few hr vouchers and went from 50 to 60 in one night while not even trying.
Considering how much of a slog the original MS was with progression, this game is incredibly fast to the end game.
I've said it before in other circles but, UGC is a blessing and a travesty, and I wouldn't want it any other way.
I gotta say that I'm pleasantly surprised with MapleStory 2's combat. It's pretty repetitive, sure, but it's satisfying.
They translated the mobbing aspects of MS1 really well, in my opinion. Like sure, you don't have screen clears or anything but it still feels good to wipe out a group all at once.
Did my first FD run last night, I'm a priest. I died to the laser on the last phase and really made the group mad. Don't care got loot. They wanted me to pay them.
lol never pay for runs. shit's a scam, just make your own party or find another one in party finder.
Yeah, I have never payed for a FD run, and neither should you, using with party finder FD groups fill up INSTANTLY. Trying to monetize something that's so free and easily-accessible boggles me, but I guess some scam artists have gotten their way with it.
is the 50% reduced market fee from trades (included in premium) anything substantial? can't imagine a whole lot of people trading expensive stuff through trade, especially if this exists
no. the point of having premium are the portable bank, -10% enchant fee, and unlimited rotors walkie-talkie.
everything else is pretty irrelevant.
The current launch event gives you plenty of standard rotors too (you can only use those in areas you explored, but its not like explore everything is hard).
yeah I got 500 standard rotors from the RNG game thingies
hitting 60 tomorrow most likely, this boss hunting reminds me very much of BDO, framedrops included :v
planning on using all the money I've earned killing bosses, to buy an MK 52 suit, seems its what most fresh 60's are doing to boost their gs
Boss hunting and the enchanting methods remind me of BDO. It makes me a bit wary of this game, but at least it's f2p and has tangible reasons for you to keep your gear up to snuff.
As someone who played BDO a lot, it's not really similar at all. World bosses don't drop any good gear, for one. And the most important difference is that failing enchantments doesn't drop down a gear's level. Getting the materials required is also very easy. Whole game is less inclined to tear you open a new one.
right now I'm on the fence about the game, because of Nexon, not necessarily because it shares some similarities with BDO; all of which appear to be that its simply less bullshit'y
for sure the mechanics(design?) are very different, but for boss hunting in particular I immediately noticed the game had some peculiarities with BDO -- wouldn't be surprised if someone made a boss hunting discord thing where players report boss HP etc, its kinda asking for it tbh
The fact that events give mounts and pets easily alone is wild to me. That shit is usually locked behind a huge grind in other KMMOs.
Bosses also spawn in more sane intervals, every hour. The world map also shows you in which channel they're still alive. There's also a place in-game that shows you exactly when the boss spawns, but I can't remember right now where exactly. But yeah, world bosses aren't really useful outside of alt levelling and trophy grinding. They also die within minutes. One thing you can do to combat the world boss lag is to Hide Other Characters, Hide in Vicinity of Boss Monsters and set Max characters shown to 1. That hides everyone else and their effects.
And yeah, what I really like is the fact that there's a lot of mount variation. But from what I've seen they're all the same speed. So the ones you get from the events and the main story are the same speed as the meret store ones. The only thing that you don't get from the story or events are horizontal flying mounts, and they can't even be used in dungeons and such.
You can actually get the maple leaf one from an event right now for free.
IT took me like 150+ Maple coins but I did manage to get it.
i wonder where I can buy cheap mesos
are the devs completely oblivious to bots? wherever I go I see characters named "asdaihfadf" doing bot stuff, and in Tria, they, well, you're looking at it
like fuck sake they even have houses placed to simply advertise their websites, custom textures included

They're definitely aware of it given that the topic comes up in almost every news post. As for how the hell the bots have gold ad houses and such I have no clue. A lack of moderators maybe?
Is it me or the majority of the players on EU don't speak english?
Like most of the players that I've stumbled upon in dungeons don't even reply to simple hello..
The last thing you can accuse the game devs of is lack of awareness. They are probably working on a fix for now.
they ban bots in waves.
also it's a f2p game, you'd be crazy if you think it'd ever be free of bots.
i'd play on NA for this reason alone, but was worried the ping difference would fuck me over in hm dungeons
