Nah sorry, but we dressed up the corpse of a beloved RTS franchise for a mobile game for you.
I'm curious what a cooperative bethbyro game will look like
"It's already dead! It's already dead!"
Hey Nintendo I'll slip you a fifty for Banjo in Smash. It's their anniversary.
Does anybody think that Anthem just aesthetically looks fucking terrible? It has the most generic sci-fi design I think I’ve seen yet.
its incredibly detailed, and the graphics are good. But the designs are so lackluster.
The mech suits feel so cluttered, you can barely read the interior shapes. Some of the creatures are cool but very safe. The colors are soooo washed out, and the contrast makes it so hard to tell what the fuck is going on.
I loved Mass Effect not only for its amazing mechanics and story, but it was the design of the world that was so fantastic. Armor designs felt super unique to any other sci-fi. While the aliens were definitely inspired by Star Wars/Star Trek, they felt memorable and charismatic.
Bioware used to be my favorite game company, I miss those days.
Why do people keep comparing Anthem to Warframe? Like I can't see how they're even remotely similar?
-mechsuits
-class based abilities
-the ability to run.
sounds like warframe to me
I've just brought me up to speed with the E3 press conference.
On the Star Wars side, I'm at the very least happy Battlefront II players are getting some Clone Wars content, althought I'm pretty sure it's just a PR move from the developer part so that they may continue using the game to promote the new movies and series and pretty much nothing else.
The announcements of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Sea of Solitude definitely caught my interest and I'll look forward for more news about them in the future.
Finally, I decided to completely ignore everything related to Anthem after watching the first few minutes of the presentation.
As a former fan of the studio, you honestly cannot even begin to fathom how depressing it is for me to see BioWare producing what is basically a shallow Destiny clone (not a great game to begin with, shall we say) because at this point the best men and women on the original staff have left the sinking ship and EA just wants to capitalize on the most recent videogame sensations
You have no idea how true this is, if they could go the way of Konami and remain at the income level they are now, they would not hesitate. AN odl acquaintance works their licensing dept now, and the people directly above her literally only ask "how much can this be monetized and branded at every pitch and milestone meeting she's attended. Literally every time.
EA management and BoD doesn't give a fuck about games anymore, at all. One of their tech officers already pushed out a notice telling everyone to just be patient until cloud services are robust enough for them to start charging for games by the day and that when "the real money" will start being made.
Fuck EA.
The only good moments of EA were the indie games. I really liked how honest the developer was when presenting sea of solitude, she was freaking out and almost couldn't talk.
Some people might think that is a "cringy" moment (because what isn't cringy for them anyway? But that's another topic.), but i actually think that in a world where videogames are a business and often presented in a business man kinda way (especially if we're talking about EA), she instead did it with the heart in the right place, and you could feel she was proud of her game,
but she was also scared of being in front of that huge crowd, waiting for the first impressions etc.
Dragon age is the only EA owned property that I give a shit about any more, and considering the last game had it's fucking ending cut off and sold as DLC. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed or relieved they didn't have anything to say about a new dragon age title this E3.
Nothing to do now but wait for the Bethesda stuff.
Wait a damn second, you are right.
... Where the fuck was Dragon Age III/IV?!
It doesn't sound like they're very far along with the next Dragon Age installment.
Normally i'd say that's a good reason for why it isn't at E3, but they had Respawn talking about a fucking video game idea at E3 as if it was an announcement, so the next Dragon Age must only be as far along as graffiti on a Bioware bathroom stall at this fucking point.
DA is already into feature hardening.
Pretty sure they had Respawn's shambling corpse stumble out because they needed something new for Star Wars, and announcing Battlefront 3 alongside content for 2 would be a bit much.
They never usually do that sorta thing, and it was obvious that the entire segment with the Respawn guy in the crowd was kinda forced.
If I have to be completely honest, I'm not even sure I'd like Dragon Age III/IV to be released, at this point.
The few things EA and the (supposed) developers said about it is that it's going to "bring the series into a new direction" and feature "a new, huge and complex world", which, nowdays, basically means the game will disregard anything related to roleplaying and be turned in yet another "biggest open world game yet" with sims and survival elements.
Hooray.
Whichever company that does the next pro-corporate decision and is called out by a whistleblower with the highest follower count to generate enough collective hate mob.

Yeah but are they sold? Can you buy them? If they are lootboxes that are entirely cosmetical and can only be received by playing then it's completely alright.
Oh Nice PC Gaming, SOny and Nintendo line up well for my schedule.
Won't be playing Bringo this year due to work tho.
No matter what you call them, i call them whoring out your game for more money.
Also reminder from January when this got leaked.

Yuno
after watching that shit, I am really
Looking forward to Bethesda and Microsoft now.
at least the worst is over now
I just want VR for xbox
you can’t buy them from the sounds of it.
If there is an actual good balance, i won't have much of a problem with it, but this is EA we're talking about. It's going to be slightly uneven even in the best of situations.
Mainly looking forward to From's new title. Been hearing lots of rumors, from a Ku-On sequel/remake, to Bloodborne 2 (with more forms for transformed weapons to take, akin to Nioh's stances), to a new IP altogether. They're probably all bogus, but we'll find out soon enough.
I would cry tears of pure joy if it's Bloodborne, but I have zero expectations that it will be.
EA’s instagram page still gets hundreds of comments about Skate 4 for every post they make. It’s been like this for years.
