Geneshift on Steam
"Free to keep forever for a limited time"
Makes perfect sense.
Poor way of wording, would be better with "for a limited time you can redeem this and keep it forever".
Fair enough. They used to have "install it now, and keep it forever" or something similar.
I'd downloaded and played a free demo of this game prior to this offer
so believe me when I say this is literally just the demo
he took the demo down and set it up as a limited free offer, and started offering the full game as a DLC
I wonder if he's going to start charging money for the demo when the offer ends?
maybe he just goes back to the way things were, pay upfront for the game and the demo goes back to being a demo (i.e. nothing changes)
what a sly tactic though
Fantasy General for Good Old Games. I already have a copy.
PTME53182F3891D1B2
This sounds like it is actually illegal
Put it on the steam reddit and see if it makes enough of a fuzz for someone to spot it, and take appropriate action?
I'll take it
My discord is Mralexs#4076
Haven't played the demo before but it seems the battle royale mode is the only thing free. The story mode is cut and you have to pay for it
correct
battle royale and one story mission, exactly like the demo
I just found out they have a referal system. For each friend you recruit and play the game, you get 1 credit per hour. With 100 credits you get a steam key for the complete game. What the fuck.

Seems like they release every LEGO game for free now. The Hobbit was for free recently, now this
SOMA on GOG.com
Holy shit, Soma is free over the next two days only. Honestly one of the best games I've played in the recent years.
I had two main problems with SOMA. The first is that just like Amnesia there's a period after your caught where the monsters are removed and you're completely safe, which is too easy to cheese. And more importantly the main character is a fucking idiot and doesn't understand how the main concept of the game works despite it being explained to him three times.
still shit myself many times when watching markiplier playing this game. Awesome stuff
The monsters were an after-thought, and it shows. The main appeal of the game to many is the story though.
Some people, a lot of people in fact, aren't exposed to speculative fiction or transhumanist concepts. They may have one basis of comparison (like, say, The Matrix) and if that one example is a poor one
then it's still likely they'll get hung up on how things really work. This is doubly so when someone's hopes are pinned on it working in the way that they want it to.
oh wait..this needs a seperate game launcher again? FFS....how many do i already have, this starts to annoy me
Honestly, SOMA is one of the frightening games I've ever seen played and it wasn't because of any monster.
GOG is good and exists for a good reason
Try out the mode without the monsters if you guys get this, it's way better than spook mode.
GOG's launcher is completely optional, you could instead just grab the DRM-free direct download.
Whats the point of playing then tbh?
You can download the game as a standalone installer, launcher is completely optional
You could even put the shortcut on Steam and pretend you never got it from GOG
how? or where?
What's the point of playing any game? The story, the atmosphere, the visuals, the music and characters. You know, emotional investment and all that. If you want a shooting gallery this certainly ain't it.
Click on the 'Download Offline Backup Game Installers' tab beneath the big blue download button, it'll have the download links for the game in parts
Yeah, Simon is kind of thick, but it didn't really detract from the story imo. The environment design, atmosphere and worldbuilding were absolutely top notch, it actually felt like you were in a sensibly designed place that could really exist in the near future. The monsters were pretty simplistic, but they aren't overused and they effectively add tension to many scenes that benefited from it, I don't think removing them would improve the game like many people seem to believe. And best of all, the game doesn't rely on jumpscares.
Overall, I think this is a shining example of a "walking simulator" done right, and I say that as someone who usually isn't into games of this sort.
i dont even have that button. the download butto nwas green for me (actually that was the "get it" button but where is even the download button for anything on this page)
Below the links with GOG connect or GOG galaxy or whatever it is. "Download offline backup game installers"
