Here are some stuff that support the DasVergeben leak. The theory of Chrom, Shadow, and Dark Samus being playable in the game supports DasVergeben's "there are at least a half dozen characters still to be revealed." comment on the Reddit post of the leak. Meaning that we are getting additional 3 echos and additional 3 unique fighters set to be revealed. Simon: Shares the same voice actor as Leif from Fire Emblem, two rumored Castlevania titles are in the works for the switch by Konami. Elma: Shares the same voice actor as Tailtiu from Fire Emblem, a translation by SourceGaming states that Sakurai bought a mecha figure to reference Elma's mech pose (final smash?). Minecraft related stuff (AT or stage/fighter) are still unknown.
I just want my Rhythm Heaven rep. It's the only major franchise they have that doesn't have representation still. Also musical characters are great.
Oh, there is a good reason for it. They just asked for the Pokemon Stadium 2 models for the Pokemon and pasted them into Melee with animations shifting most of them from point A to point B without having to make models for a new stage and could focus on the others.
dasvergeben is very sketchy, for several reasons only claimed smash 4's full roster was coming back, and snake and icies platinum is not working on another title for switch, or wasnt shown at E3 no castlevania collection was shown xenoverse 3 was not shown no star fox grand prix i mean he wasn't 100% wrong but i don't really hold him in good faith
He also said Ridley would be revealed at E3, knew that Metroid Prime 4 was co-developed by Bandai-Namco, knew of Groh's name in Soul Calibur VI when Groh didn't even exist, knew of Soul Calibur VI's existence and I believe called most of the DBFZ DLC. His sources aren't perfect, but he is frequently reliable.
I just hope we get more Fire Emblem characters.
Hate to be offtopic but why are all the threads locked and shitposts are all over the homepage Facepunch finally decide to end it all?
When I checked last night, everything was overrun by Chinese spam, so likely a bot just broke all the threads before being deleted.
Garry couldn't handle Waluigi not making it into Smash so he is taking it out on the forum.
They established some changes. I believe one of which was a post limit. Now threads above 1,000 (Maybe?) are being auto locked.
I REALLY hope that nothing Minecraft related gets added.
On the upside, at least it's not occupying a character slot.
If Microsoft gets any representation I won't settle for anyone but Banjo.
Wish granted, you now play as Master Chief, but instead of guns, he takes up a musical side and weaponizes a banjo.
I dunno', I wouldn't mind an item or something small. There's no denying the game was/is still a phenomenon; it has a place in a game like Smash, albeit, preferably a small one.
I'd honestly be fine with a Minecraft stage if we also got Banjo and a stage from his series. I think Steve would look really ugly in Smash but Minecraft has a lot of mechanics that could make for a fun arena.
It could be like the Mario Maker stage.
That's actually a stupidly amazing idea now that you bring it up.
a creeper could be a good assist trophy.
Pokemon Trainer's alternate colors are based sequentially on the other 6 generations.

Smash and Smush are polar opposites
Calling it SSS since "Special" is the Japanese subtitle and SSU is too close to Smash 4.
I would've thought this was common sense. Of course we're going to call it Ultimate. We call Melee and Brawl by their subtitles and the only reason we use abbreviations for SSB64 and Smash 4 is because the former has no official subtitle and could be confused with talking about the series as a whole, whereas the latter's subtitle is annoyingly verbose and generic.
I'm still gonna call it SmUsh, cause no game has afforded such a dumb shortening and I love it.

People were calling the Wii U version of Smash 4 SmUsh. Likewise they were calling the 3DS version Sm3sh ('smesh').
Definitely not as prominently as they are now. Cause I'd never heard of Smush til Ultimate. They were always Smash U, Sm4sh, or Smash 4. And no one calls Smash 3DS anything anymore cause honestly lol.
I will call it whatever I want. SmUsh Ultra!
You got some balls tryin' to stir up trouble, with a post like that!
