on old punch sometime I asked about zaws and someone recommended making a condition overload polearm with the plague star parts?
I finally got around to getting ostron rep and was wondering what the best combination for condition overload is, should i max speed and status chance, or go for something more balanced?
Speed and status chance, easily. This is what I use and it's disgustingly powerful:

How are you getting hit by mortars. Unless you lack object permenance and have a 10 second reaction time there is little excuse for getting hit by mortars. You have a point with eidolons but I was referring to bounties when I made that post.
I have a 100% status 4.4m punchthrough kohm, I can literally make potato pc's crash by firing it into huge balls of nidused enemies just from the slash procs, it's glorious.
Last played when Vaubahn came out, and three of my friend expressed interest in giving it a go, here's hoping we get past the starting hurdles.
For the people who didn't get ash prime: The Great TennoCon 2018 Ash Prime Drop Fix!

nice, looks like me catching the last 5 minutes of TennoCon worked out in my favor
Finally caved in and installed this game for the first time last night. Any hot tips I should know? Admittedly there's kind of a lot to take in and I'm kinda getting overwhelmed.

Save your starting premium currency (platinum) for inventory slots. Inventory space is very limited and can only be bought with plat, and it will take a while until you can make decent platinum through trading with other players.
Don't hesitate to ask veterans for advice or help, especially if you're in a clan. They might even give you some items that are of great benefit for newbies whereas veterans have dozens or hundreds of duplicates lying around.
Post your username here and I will send you invite to our clan, people online will be able to help whenever you ask anything.
Anyone else still waiting for their ash prime? watched the whole stream linked and everything :/
What happens if you have almost half-a-million people watching TennoLive and many of them expecting a Twitch Drop?
Well, the answer is kind of complicated, but you've waited long enough for some closure so please read this quick post for the dirty details:
a) We had may more people watching than anticipated and our servers could not keep up with the data coming from Twitch.
b) Since we cannot turn back time, we have no way of knowing who was actually watching.
c) We have a very generous solution in spite of b).
Anyone who has logged into Warframe in the past 7 days on any platform with a Twitch linked account and did not receive the Ash Prime Drop will receive one!
We will let you know when the script is finished, should be some time this week!
Thank you.
Edit:
Script is in progress and should be done within 2-6 hours on all platforms!
The Great TennoCon 2018 Ash Prime Drop Fix!
Cool, thanks for the info, I was getting kind of curious because it seemed like everyone else was getting their ash prime.
I think my Twitch account went to sleep mode for no reason during the stream as I was at work
I'm so incredibly confused. Does this game force me into coop sessions? I was just doing some quests and some random joined me and started running around the place? I immediately aborted the mission 'cuz I didn't know what was going on.
Yeah by default its set to look for and fill groups for missions. If you hit Esc on your orbiter and look next to your little icon in the upper left-hand corner there should be a second icon right next to it that looks like a globe. Click on it and you can change your options for groups, including solo.
you better get used to asking yourself that because the game isn't very new user friendly
it'll take a bit to learn the ins and outs of how the game works but once you get that down you'll be good to go
Vor's Prize, the tutorial mission, does explain a little bit about the most basic gameplay but thats about it. most of the important stuff like advanced movement and effective modding you'll have to figure out for yourself
A massive pile of equipment can only be obtained by researching it in your clan dojo and then replicating the blueprint there, so if you're not in a clan you really want to be. Ideally one that's already got everything researched
The facepunch clan has everything and is pretty active

Just started playing Warframe again after 5 years. Pretty overwhelming but I'm getting the hangs of things. Is it safe to assume the reason I have access to a few missions nodes without the junction is due to my past playtime?
Would this be worth investing it?

The crit and multishot is nice, but I dunno, the damage penalty is off-putting.
Yeah that'll be it, but junctions are also worth mastery and hand out quests so you'll want to complete them regardless of whether you need to for mission access. Not sure where you are in the quest series but to access the current main trilogy of the game you have to do (spoiler free, bolded the main ones, italicized ones I don't think you actually have to do but may make things clearer):
-Vor's Prize (you start out doing this but if you log in with an account created before this quest existed it's a bit odd)
-Once Awake (complete mercury junction)
-The Archwing (complete mars junction)
-Stolen Dreams (complete phobos junction)
-The New Strange (complete stolen dreams and europa junction)
-Natah (be mastery rank 3, get to Uranus scan a mystery blue thing making loud whale noises with either a synthesis or codex scanner)
-The Second Dream (complete natah and then neptune junction)
-The War Within (mastery rank 5, complete the second dream and then sedna junction)
-Chains of Harrow (complete the war within and the node mot in the void)
-Apostasy Prologue (complete chains of harrow and build your personal quarter segment for your orbiter, something will be in it)
-The Sacrifice (you'll get this after Apostasy prologue, it'll be in your codex)
There's some other ones for warframes along the way but the bolded ones are the key ones to unlock major lore reveals and new gameplay features.
Never take negative damage or multi, or either crit for those weapons.
Thanks! That clears up a lot of questions I had with the quests order.

Bit outdated but might give some idea how to progress.
Im up for joining the clan again, got booted 4 years ago because i forgot about the game. username is the same as FP.
I'm going to start listening to that Fortuna song on loop when I do Onslaught now. This went from fun murder frolicking to manual labor a long time ago.
