so, wait, can i forma these umbral mods into other frames and weapons? is there any point in doing that or should i just stick with primed mods the quest was cool but really short

you can use those mods on other frames/weapons, but you can't add umbra polarities to them. you just have to forma every other slot to make room for the 16-cost umbra mods also you can forma the umbra polarities off of umbra/skiajati, but you can not add them back on. it's permanent, and there's no way to reverse it, so if you end up doing that make absolutely sure you actually want to that being said, if you can make the room, the umbra mods are really good. they're just straight upgrades of vitality/steel fiber/intensify. they're not even that much more expensive so you might be able to fit them on to other frames rather easily. i've seen a lot of inaros players running around with them, making him even more invincible than he was before

So I don't really know what I'm doing, came back to this game after ages of not playing it, and by playing it I mean completed some tutorial stuff then a level or two and just stopped playing it, playing now though, I get into a game and someone who's got a Level 30 Warframe joins my squad, my Warframe being Level 7 just turned 8 and I'm not enjoying this at all, they're making it a cake walk and there's no point in playing, they do some buff on me with has like an AoE so when I go in for melee attacks, I instantly kill them from this AoE, what's the point. Playing as Limbo at the moment, I like the abilities, like dragging enemies into the Rift and killing them there.

Just a heads up, looks like someone dug-up a post-Sacrifice audiofile spoiler. Seems like the kind of stuff that could spark lots of speculation and fanart etc, so browse carefully and hope it gets officially released sooner rather than later.

Is it possible to trigger said audiofile sort of akin the whole log in as Umbra thing.

I just stumbled across the audio file without any further context, but to me it didn't sound like something the player can trigger. It's like receiving a call from Cephalon Samodeus asking you to stop by and show them your new Umbra mods.

And I thought they scrapped the whole idea of Samodeus.

The actual audio file doesn't mention Samodeus or Umbra mods. I just wanted to get across that it doesn't seem like there's a "starting point" for the player to trigger the voice file. If Maroo wanted to get her fingers on your Vitruvian for example, you could visit her Bazaar. If Clem suddenly spoke fluent British English, you could visit Darvo. But if Nef Anyo invites you to check out his new casino, what are you gonna do, poke the Seargent and remind him his Nef Anyo rework is long overdue?
