so ive taken to focusing on leveling shit to get my MR up (currently 9 i think), and ive been doing stealth spys as ivara as ive heard its the best for affinity. should i just be focusing on getting to the vaults, or getting kills along the way too with the bonus affinity stacks? and i already know about taking max rank shit off to make sure what im focusing on leveling gets a lot more affinity, but is there no faster way to level up something that cant be used in stealth? like, i made the foolish choice of making a ballistica (yeah i know, the charged shot IS stealth, but i honestly didnt even know that until i got it to 29...), and i had to use my melee to get kills, but then the melee ended up getting most of the affinity so even with all the affinity from running spys it took fucking forever to be able to drop the ballistica. is there anything better i can do when im leveling another primary/secondary in the future that isnt silent?

That's going to depend on who you ask, I find extraction, defense, mobile defense, and interception all to be a fuck tonne worse than spy. Those all consist of standing around hating life for ages while spy actually results in doing things. Primaries and secondaries are always a pain in the dick to level but I have no issue doing 2-3 runs of Rosalind to max melee weapons for mastery fodder.
Also holy shit that informative icon looks like ass.
The only time any of those are "stand around and do nothing" is when someone brings something that just nukes all enemies on the map.
Those game modes all need more parkour.

I like to think that I earned some of those 1420 kills though, I did buff him all the time as Rhino, that counts for something right?
I'm a bit lost on what to progress towards, I recently unlocked Sedna and completed The War Within, then I just started getting some parts for some frames and weapons. I mostly did alerts and tons of void fissures.
Not sure what the next step is? Completing Sedna I suppose, also I have no bloody idea what Focus is all about. Furthermore I dabbled a bit on the plains and done some bounties and leveled up my standing.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to progress? There are so many bloody areas and things to do.
One thing you should do at least is get to the last Void missions from Sedna. Completing Mot leads you to the next cinematic quest
Once you complete the Mot node in the void you can start Chains of Harrow, which is the next mainline quest

Itazel 3 is great for disabling all those underwater fans and beyond that it is just run to the console otherwise and wait for a laser wall to go on and then off.
Harrow is a fun boy that never dies if you play him right.
