Is this shit for real? https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/8t8d6e/theres_a_few_bad_eggs_around_that_are_ruining/
Yeah it keeps happening and I've never heard a comment from DE about it. Apparently sometimes "tainted plat" can sit in people's inventory for months or years until it's detected and taken away.
Been real for two years. If your account ever goes to a negative balance due to this or to plat duping/cycling your account gets autobanned, and even if everything else is legit you won't get unbanned until you have a positive balance, and zendesk has to pass your issue to DE for that to happen.
Perpetual vortex and efficiency is great, I can pop down a 200 second vortex and the fuck around in steams web browser while also being the most productive member of my team.
Yeah and DE will never respond because they know its unethical as hell. The only way this is going to ever get a response from them is if it happens to a well known member of the community or something.
Actually, it's straight up illegal. If this ever happens to a large enough whale, DE will be dealing not only a civil suit, but possibly a criminal one as well.
hhhhhhhhhhhhh 0 kills 5 abilities used https://i.imgur.com/WBe317P.png https://i.imgur.com/HGNkGkz.png https://i.imgur.com/2s09HrW.png why pull this shit in sanctuary onslaught, i'm trying to get khora, fucker
Because why do the work yourself when you got 3 other people to do it for you? https://fi.somethingawful.com/images/smilies/emot-v.gif Seriously speaking though, people who do that are extremely annoying to come across in Sanctuary Onslaught. From what I've noticed, they also usually tend to be MR10 or lower most of the time. As much as it might annoy the rest of the group I'm in, I usually just abort the mission as soon as I notice leechers anymore. I see no reason to reward them for sitting in the rafters with their thumb up their ass while the rest of us are actually trying to make some progress.
What the hell, I have never heard of a company that didn't either eat the cost or just reverse all the transactions. A couple of years ago valve removed one of my games from my library because I guess I traded with a fraudulent account but they just gave my traded items back. DE is literally punishing the victims of fraudulent plat trading, they should simply be eating the cost.
The Maple Syrup Mafia Defense Force maintains this "would bleed DE dry", but seeing as they're owned by a chinese chicken concern and COUGH Perfect World COUGH that's not even kind of a thing anymore, and eventually someone is probably going to call their bluff and just like last time with data mining, they're going to be butthurt about it, when virtually every other company with the same subscriber base knows this is just common sense you do not fuck with, especially in regard to customer good will.
Unrelated to that plat thing (but it doesn't help for sure), I don't think I can get back into Warframe. Gave it a good shake, played maybe an additional 50 hours in the last two weeks but there's just way too many barriers to progression. Just one example, for me (someone who hasn't played 3000 hours but like 400) reactors are few and far between, so I don't want to waste them. So, I don't put them in the new non-prime warframes I get in the anticipation that I should wait for the prime version but then I'm kinda "stuck" with a shitty warframe, and shit like this happens so often with things like the weapon variants as well. Also just the sheer depth of grinding that would be ahead of me if I wanted to catch up with all the content. I just can't do it. It's like this with all the systems: to be able to grind efficiently you need the items you're grinding for in the first place (fuck archwing missions btw). I mean, I thought I knew what I was getting into going back to it but I failed to realize how much more bullshit they added since 4 years ago.
dumbest part is, there's no actual 'cost' for them to eat, it's fucking virtual doodads, there's no actual loss. it's not like they've lost physical stock in something that has real value in point of fact, I will never ever ever buy plat because I fundamentally disagree with their business model, but I've bought things from the store with plat from trades. if I get fraudulent plat from a trade it means literally nothing in terms of lost sales
Well, eat the cost of chargebacks from credit card scammers. Still, any company worth its salt would just absorb those costs.
Don't ever look at the whole picture or you'll become overwhelmed. You want to work on one thing at a time and before you know it you're suddenly in the end game and just having a ton of fun. First thing you should do is figure out what's the most important thing you need to unlock first, and then just focus entirely on that. Every time I finally get some sort of grind over with I feel accomplished, like I completed something worthwhile. And there is always something new to work towards to when I'm done - and isn't that all we ask from games in the first place?
until they introduce the next wave-based game mode with rotational rewards that requires 20 minutes of continuous play to have a chance at getting something actually worthwhile
It's a valid criticism. You need to find your own pace in Warframe. For me, as an example, I come back every few months, throw down some dosh for plat with a 75% off, buy resource boosters and just use whatever weapon I want while loosely moving towards some specific goal. As for the "shitty warframe" issue, way I do it is if I'm leveling a new frame, I take a weapon that can nuke a room fairly efficiently. If I'm leveling a weapon, I take a frame that can tank long enough to kill shit, with some utility and healing. It shouldn't be a chore to play a game. Just keep some goal in mind and enjoy being an actual space ninja with whatever you have.
Yeah if the way to the rewards isn't fun, the game is just not going to be fun. In fact, from what I've gathered a lot of players fall out of love with the game once they're sitting on the "throne of already own everything" and don't have a goal anymore. As for the Reactor problem, there's a logic to which Warframes are getting primed next, so unless the frame you're after is about to be primed, I think it's pretty safe to put a potato into a non-Prime Warframe you enjoy. At least that's how I've done it and I haven't regretted it, and now I'm swimming in Reactors anyway. Also not all rewards are equally intertwined with other rewards. For example, if you go to the Derelict for Nekros, along the way you can also get Oro Cells & Neurodes, Corrupted mods, Kavat DNA, good Relics from Surv/Def, and if your clan hasn't researched Hema yet also Mutagen Samples. On the other end of the spectrum there's something like Defection which you really only partake in for Harrow Systems. So if at all possible go for missions that let you progress several things at once. Newly released stuff will usually only be obtainable in one place to keep the vets busy, and then later be made available in several places to increase the likelihood of you getting it along the way.
I highly doubt that
It used to be that vaubans zappy ball augment used to be broken as fuck where if you drew a bunch of lines from semi-transparent object like a guard railing or console the slashwires wouldn't go away so you could spam the fuck out of it and out dps everybody because the whole map was covered in cankle cutting invisible lasers. sadly this was secretly patched a couple months ago. but anyway perpetual vortex has a similar efficiency per second as chromas turret except you can put 2 or 3 down in different areas and get the same results.
"Being resource efficient" sounds like the kind of excuse you hear from leechers when they pop an ability and go afk because they know other people will have to put in the effort to actually chase and kill enemies to finish the mission faster
I would like to know these secrets even after all this talk of being banned because someone somewhere is an asshole.
It's funny, 550 hours in and I've yet to actually get a 75% off coupon. I've gotten several 50%, but never 75%.
I've streamlined it to the point where I don't even need other players so your half right.
Have you ever used them? I hear that the longer you go without buying plat the more likely it is to get a 75%. I've gotten like 3 since I've come back a few months ago, but maybe I'm just lucky.
Yeah I usually only get the big coupons after long breaks. It's pretty consistent that way.
800 hours here and the closest I've gotten is a 60% off. Been playing near daily since august. I haven't built any prime frames or weapons yet because I have no free slots.
Trading wise, what are some of the best ways to get platinum? I've been farming relics and selling prime junk whenever Baro comes around and that's gotten me enough for a couple frame and weapon slots. Its a cheap and easy way to make some plat but I don't know how effective that'll be in the long run
For me Syndicate stuff is where my reliable plat comes from. Weapons are pretty much always in demand and a quick transactions, but mods have a better plat-per-standing ratio.
Prime stuff from Relics and Syndicate stuff sell well. Weapons sell faster but are worth less total plat than the same standing in mods, and prime parts sell faster but are worth less than the set as a whole. Rivens are big game but I don't touch that stuff, those transactions are far larger than I'd like to stomach, especially if someone ends up giving me bad plat and I just get fucked. If someone paid bad plat for a single frame set then its hardly the end of the world for me.
