Speaking of the beta, has anyone who ordered from Amazon gotten their code yet? There's nothing on Bethesda's website on when the codes are meant to be sent out.
Still waiting on my end.
Man I hope centaurs make a return. I miss those creepy fucks.
If the mutants in 76 are indeed from Vault 87, then it's possible there's centaurs too.
I pre-ordered in store down here and got my code like yesterday.
I ordered through GAME and got my key late last week. Everyone seems to be getting them in waves, as-and-when Bethesda give them to retailers. Apparently some people who ordered immediately haven't got theirs yet, though; given what usually happens with key distribution, it'll probably take another few weeks to get them out to everyone. Tbh that would fit in fairly neatly, since Pete Hines said that Bethesda still had a month of internal testing to go before the beta starts. From the end of E3 that'd put the earliest chance of the beta launch being ~mid/late July, which would be enough time to shake out the last few codes to people.
I preordered from Amazon and got my code. It's for PS4, though, so I don't know if the difference is region or platform.
Bethesda's posted a sneak peak on some of the future CC content. A new Solar Cannon gun using the Cryolator animations (though who made it isn't known yet), a new player home in the location near the USS Constitution that I posted about before, and a bundle of PA/Pipboy skins, some of which being the ones they've taken off the store, with the rest being known about for a while but never released. I wouldn't be surprised if the update for all of this hits tomorrow, with at least the PA/Pipboy bundles going up on Thursday, if not all of three things.
The FX on that cannon looks nice https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/108621/c0d14760-ea9f-450a-861e-5b7370e4bd34/image.png
finally a mod that makes Ada the one true waifu NSFW Assaultron ADA Parts at Fallout 4 Nexus
If it wasn't for the fact her second to last prediction (or very last depending on how far into the MQ you are when you meet her) outright tells you the recall code for the courser I could buy this theory based purely on the fact she Always gives me the Institute ending prediction even if they have banished me. If you only start drugging her up in the later stages of the main quest she gives you a prediction about the fate of the commonwealth that is supposed to be based on the faction you have sided with before she hilariously drops dead. IIRC It always ends with "You are there kid, a hero!". (even the institute one says something about not being popular, but a hero none the less)
Kind of a long shot, but does anyone here have an updated version of Vertibird Jump for fallout 4? The version up on nexus doesnt work with the latest version after all the CC updates, the source code is there but i have zero clue when it comes to anything programming related. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20190 pls help
Even though it was not intended (Emil Pagliawhatever isn't that smart), I like the concept that Mama Murphy may be a complete and utter charlatan who does actually have one legitimate vision, it being the courser code, and it actually fucking kills her because she wasn't ready at all and just did it for the free chems.
As much as I disliked her portrayal I have to say I really like this idea in principle. If Murphy had been some hidden mutated sage character tucked away in the glowing sea, then being rewarded for finding her with impossible knowledge that would aid your quest would have been awesome.

What's your charisma? You haven't put many points into anything else so it's not unusual to have max speech at level 10.
My charisma is around 6 or 7, and I'll admit that for each level I spent like 3 points in both guns and sneak and the rest (10) in speech, so that may explain it. I'm worried I just made my current playthrought a huge snoozefest

Just to let people know, they updated the post with Patriotic PA/Pipboy skins, something else that's been known to exist for ages. Based on the description, I'd expect these to only be able on the 4th July.

Well Nipton was a hella trip Then the road from Nipton to Novac even more so
Also got mine last Friday (22nd), and I preordered on the 14th, really hasn't taken them that long. I'm actually wondering how they're going to present the beta. If they just shit us out the entire map straight up, I'm going to be slightly reluctant to take part because I'd rather not spoil the experience by exploring and killing all the things before the game is even completed.
I wish I could carry this level of optimism towards the idea of 76. I need to check out the beta to make sure I'm not utterly wasting my time with this purchase. To kind of answer your musing too, I'm assuming this is going to be the entirety of the game for testing. It'd be like playing the open beta of some multiplayer shooter. I don't know if you'd be spoiling an experience as much as you'd just be familiarizing yourself with the multiplayer gameplay.
I always thought it would've been better if your first visit to nipton didn't have it fucked up by the legion and actually allowed you to see just how scummy the town and it's people were to justify the legion's destruction of the town if you weren't only convinced by what they said, a personal pipe dream of mine would be to have there be an actual quest where you could actually prevent the destruction of the town or aid in it depending on your stand, having you talk (or seduce if female) the mayor into actually telling you his plans, or finding one of his journals on his plans and showing them to the NCR and save the town and have them actually take control of the town making it better in time, or showing it to the powder gangers there if you have a good reputation with them and staging a double cross on both the mayor and vulpes, and either taking the entire town for the powder gangers or having them freed from their sentences from the NCR for defending an entire town from legion invaders, and finally maybe being able to find vulpes somewhere in town or having him confront you and help him and legionaries take the town by sabotaging ways of escape and taking out people who might be a threat to their plans, and then having this be easily skippable by making it so if you just go through town quickly on your way to vegas it'll happen before you get back. just a pipe dream though, sadly.
Sounds like you need to learn how to mod ;)
Does anyone know why settlers won't properly assign to the crops I've planted? Anytime I try and get Jun/Marcy/others to farm the crops I've planted they only seem to want to work 1 and not the total I've planted to = 6 food. This is after claiming a settlement back from sim settlements rise of the commonwealth and then transferring a settlement so maybe that's caused an issue? I did replant all the crops  and follow the advice of travelling away and reloading after transferring.

http://livedoor.blogimg.jp/otyahanabi-steambowy/imgs/a/e/ae5b5ccb.jpg So did anyone notice that the fusion cell is in backwards again, just like the cryolator? Real quality work.
If the MF cell works like a real battery having only one side connected wouldn't even work.
It's got both plates on the same side, kinda like a lightbulb but the print on it still marks the top as "positive" and the rounded, covered up bottom as "negative", (possibly to make it look more familiar, like a regular AA battery)
