Played and finished the Pitt for the first time-- that was extremely short and disappointing.
I thought the general consensus about the Pitt was that it was one of the better FO3 DLCs
The search for steel ingots was a fuckin chore but the writing was good imo
Yeah I really liked the Pitt as a DLC. As far as questing content went it's pretty short but I think it was to it's benefit. The Pitt, as nice as it was to look at, wasn't very fun to navigate imo. You're there for just long enough to learn both sides of the story and see a climatic showdown. I actually prefer that structure of DLC to something like Point Lookout, although I don't mean to disparage PL in saying that.
It's one of the first places I hit up when I'm replaying Fo3, both to mix up the experience and for early access to some cool loot.
85.4 MB update
I didn't like Point Lookout nearly as much as the Pitt IMO
PL just felt a little too empty and the fact that all the hillbilly swamp fucks do an extra unblockable 30 damage to you with every attack made the wandering experience unfun
Plus the 35 damage bonus NPCs have when they shoot with any weapon, so a hill billy with a shotgun can deal a total of 315 damage if all 9 of the pellets hit you.
I started FO1 today, and I gotta say, this isn't my type of game, which fucking sucks since I don't like 4, I already beat NV and 3 is shit from what I hear.
I don't care about the graphics, I don't care about the isometric angle, I don't care about the turn based combat, what I care about is Roleplaying.
And while FO1 does it better than 4, it fails in the gameplay aspect.
The one thing I love about 3/NV/4 is how I can play however I want, I can go out guns blazing killing anyone, or I can just avoid every single encounter, I can just stealth through a Vault without needing to kill the Mole Rats.
Whereas in 1 and I assume 2, I can't run past the enemies due to my movement being tied to AP while in combat, meaning I can't stealth my way out of encounters or just run past them.
I love playing Stealth, in every game I try to be Stealth, even in gun blasting games.
I like to get the flank on my enemy, but in this I just can't.
I hope FO1/2 will get remade in the style of the later entries, apparently someone was doing a Mod for NV which was just 1 remade, but I can't find anything out about it, seems like it is dead.
You can sneak but like you said, it's not fun.
I've already got my flatmates who want to play it when it's out so I'm looking forward to having some fun with them, it's not often we get to play MP games as a group since we all have different tastes, fortunately Fallout is one thing we can all agree on. I'm still on the fence wether or not I want to take part in the beta, curiosity will likely get the better of me to be honest.

OH FOR FUCK'S SAKE
at least fisto will always be there for you
People who entered their 76 beta codes into their Bethesda.net accounts are starting to get confirmation that they've been added into the beta program. Haven't had mine yet, seem to be being sent out gradually. A wild, unlikely stab in the dark, but if they're doing all this so early then maybe they really are going for a 7/6 beta release, the mad lads.
hm Amazon Canada doesn't have a pre-order option
Yeah, I got my beta confirmation a few hours ago too. Remember though, X-box gets into the Beta first, because buckets of money probably.
Is FO4LODGen useful without HD LOD models that don't seem to be available?
Get your revenge by picking confirmed bachelor and rejecting her by telling her you are gay just interested in being really good bros with other dudes.
anyone look at what ever new records were added in today's patch?
holy shit, I didnt know fnv had this many celebrities as VA's.
Do you honestly think I wouldn't had romanced Veronica on each playthrought if:
She wasn't, shall we say, not that much interested in men to begin with.
New Vegas wasn't an Obsidian game, and so you couldn't achieve a typical RPVG romance even if you tried
I'm afraid the Toaster can't count as a member of my own species.
Beside, I'm straight.
Is there something you can't do in Fallout: New Vegas, I wonder
Boone is Max? There's just more reasons to love him all the time.
Yeah, it looks like it's just for the CC content. No patch notes, but at least there's leaks of future content.
First, the CCC file:
ccSBJFO4001-SolarFlare.esl
ccZSEF04001-BHouse.esm
ccTOSFO4001-NeoSky.esm
ccKGJFO4001-bastion.esl
ccBGSFO4063-PAPat.esl
Solar Cannon, Charlestown Condo (the location near the USS Constitution), two new packs (that I'll go into more detail about when I talk about the new records), and the Patroitic PA skin. The Patriotic Pipboy skin and all the PA/Pipboy colour skins were already in there from previous updates.
Before I go onto the records, they made a few changes to the Interface BA2. The scope overlay got updated, assumedly for a new scope with the Solar Cannon, and the strings got updated with new things for the new records.
On that note, here are the new records. As I said earlier, it's all for CC content, but there's some interesting stuff. The NeoSky content looks like it'll be like Elianora's Nuka-Cola pack, with a new player house in Hub 360 (called a Noir Penthouse, so I'm expecting views of the city from it), and a whole bunch of Art Deco workshop items. The Bastion content looks like it's just going to be workshop items too, but there's no clue what will be in it.
There's also going to be Vault Suit skins on the CC, which will allow you to change the colour and number of the Vault Suits when they eventually release them. While I'm not exactly thrilled about yet more skins, there's some interesting details. There's two sets of records for these, ones with 4 in their names, and ones with 3. There are records with 4 in the name that allow you to craft the default/no colour skin for the Vault Suits, while there's no similar records with 3 in the name. There's also a leveled item list for placing Vault gear into Vault lockers/dressers, which currently only contains the Vault-Tec Lab Coat.
My theory is that the pack(s) they release for this will include Fallout 3's style of Vault Suits, maybe using the model from Fallout 76. The records with 4 in the name are for modifying Fallout 4's Vault Suits, and I think the records with 3 in the name will be for modifying Fallout 3's Vault Suits. It'd explain why the only records for crafting have 4 in the name, if all those records with 3 in the name will be in the CC content. The leveled item list for Vault gear would also allow them to put those suits into Vaults easily, and the presence of the Vault-Tec Lab Coat makes me wonder if they're intending on including things like the Utility Suit and the Lab Suit. Maybe even Armored suits.
Anyone else been crashing a lot more since the last patch? I backed up my .exe, updated and rolled the update back, but I dont know if something else changed that causes more crashes
Time to wait for those plugins to update again
fuck sake
you people really need to disable automatic updates
Teach me your ways. Even with updates completely off steam still tries to update when the game is launched.
Is there anything in the updates besides CC content? No bug fixes or performance improvements?
Todd wants to ruin fo4 so everyone goes to 76, it's the only explanation
In the Steam Library, go into Properties -> Updates -> "Only update this game when I launch it."
And then only ever launch Fallout 4 through F4SE through something like NMM or MO.
Launch it via F4SE, it doesn't count as being launched through steam.
honestly I kinda prefer the wait. Gives me something cathartic to bitch about and some time to play other games.
