As much flank as Dead Money gets, I can't help but feel it really nailed the atmosphere. The Sierra Madre is a dimly lit, close quarter area that tugs at feelings of claustrophobia and fear of the darkness. The main enemies, the ghost people, really adds onto it as well with how unnatural they move and behave. Furthermore, being deprived of your usual armor and weapons that you're so used to puts you in a vulnerable position where you must be careful with each step.
I certainly don't miss the Sierra Madre when I'm done with Dead Money, but it gave a lot of memorable moments. It felt a lot more like a survival horror game than a Fallout.
Aw, I wanted to listen to country roads while playing FO4 when I got home from work and the shitters have taken it down.
Makes sense giving the BETA to the worst system. The Xbone is the most unstable after all, and will probably need the most tuning.
I'd be inclined to agree with that zinger if Bethbyro games didn't have such a horrible history on PlayStation.
It still always gets me that Mr. House values retrieval of the platinum chip, something his entire life's goals are absolutely dependent on, as worth about half the price of a rare snow globe.
House only paid you half of what he'll pay for a snow globe. He also paid6 other couriers to transport decoy packages.
I always found it interesting that house never had a backup plan inplace.
I always thought that he underpays for the chip in order to relay to the player that it isn't important. To keep the courier in the dark about it until you learn about what it truly is capable of.
Honestly the main think I'm hoping for is the branch of engine in Fallout 76 to be similar enough to 4 that modders will get it working on it, and then we can get the co op we always wanted. Ofcourse, that's if Todd isn't lying about private servers.
House is such a shrewd businessman. He's like a kid who promises to pay you to do his math homework for a measly 5$ but after the job is done he transfers schools.
is simple, vadim, when out run of bullet, use gun like sword

I feel like hiring a courier with the promise of tens of thousands of caps, or more, would completely destroy House's whole "smuggle the platinum chip back to New Vegas using decoy packages and lone couriers to avoid detection by spys, mercs, and other opportunists" plan. We know the courier job was publicly listed, so it's assumed the payment was too, and I doubt it would have taken the NCR of Legion long to sniff out that house was up to something if he's paying 100,000 caps to transport a poker chip.
Well yeah you wouldn't expect him to pay a bunch for the initial courier service, but by the time you're in Lucky 38 you know that the chip is serious business. I mean shit everybody saw you enter the Lucky 38, it's really high profile and people keep commenting on it all the time. We're well past the point of subtlety there. It just starts feeling silly when he's telling me to waltz into the legion camp full of rapists and mass murderers for 1000 caps, when he's giving me 2000 to check the bar downstairs for his lost snow globe.
As far as the actual platinum chip payment goes, House isn't the kind of guy that feels generous and pays you an excessive bonus for doing a job that you accepted and agreed to the payment for. He wouldn't feel obligated to pay you extra out of appreciation for your services and how important it is. If you fulfilled you end of the contract, then you receive the agreed upon payment. No more, no less. After all, he didn't build RobCo Industries New Vegas by being generous.
As far as payment(s) after you deliver the platinum chip, I always kinda assumed you were doing everything in exchange for him setting you up for life once he has absolute control of Vegas, but also being an the second most powerful individual in the Post-'Battle of the Dam' New Vegas (seeing as how you're the only person to have direct contact with him).

Wow that is a big improvement.
Damn, good acting ruined by weird mic stuff, but that's always been an issue in mods when everybody is probably using different mics
This is why you save in separate slots like the manual tells you to!

To add to the House-is-smart thing, he's also a shithead top-of-the-pile businessman alá Andrew Ryan. In his eyes you're not owed anything. You agreed upon the listed payment as per the contract, but ultimately he feels you deserve nothing, in his view the payment you get is
entirely out of the goodness of his heart and a commitment to business ethics, rather than money you legitimately deserve for cheating death and trekking across the wasteland, through hell and high water, twice, to deliver the chip.

New Todd Howard interview, Service-based Fallout 76 doesn't mark the future direction of Bethesda
"I was forced to meet with a lot of 'monetisation experts' during Fallout Shelter that didn't work for us. I said 'that's nice' and then it came out and the first week it was above Candy Crush with a very light touch... We did learn a lot though."
Just a bad business decision to not have them, since other games will, and they'll make more money. Not every dev can be CD Projekt Red.

The only appropriate thing to put Jezebel onto.
I like to give Jezebel the robobrain torso and protectron legs with nothing else. Just turn her into a waddling trash can.
A survivor of the great war, she is so strong
I was upset when I found out that Jezebel reacts negatively towards her new body regardless of what you stick her into. Hearing her ire the first time I stuck her in a walking trash can was great, hearing that same ire when I deck her out as a killing machine, not so much.
Wait what the fuck you can make a wheelchair robot?
