Since my Fallout 4 modding process is proceeding nicely, is there any mod which, shall we say, tweaks the non-raider path of Nuka World?
I'm asking because I rember such mods being discussed in the previous thread
Have you fixed Open Season opening up the power station? I found that just trigger the station to open that lock door and active the button without any need to do leg work.
Really speeds up the quest.
how do you guys mod your fallout/elder scrolls anyways? Do you lump in a ton of mods and hope everything works, or take things one or a couple at a time?
Use Mod Organizer 2. Mods are virtualized so they don't affect the game files, and if something breaks, you can just disable the mod.
There's this one, https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/30509?tab=description, which lets you summon a Minuteman army to help you take out the raiders. Also works with Brotherhood, I think, though details on the page are sparse. The author is also working on versions that let you do the same with the Institute and Railroad.
You can install mod to skip forced settlement raiding in Home Sweet Home quest.

I just remembered that Fallout 4 had melee bash and grenade throw mapped to the same button.
Obsidian wouldn't have let that happen.
Physically aren't enough buttons on the Xbone controller to avoid that. Steam and PS4 controllers have more buttons though.
You mean the same Obsidian that fucking bound 2 for changing ammo types ?
How easy is it to update from Mod Organizer to MOO2?
I use scrap everything and a global boundary extender (rather than just for Starlight) and you can just get rid of the bits you want, which is nice

What are your guys thoughts on this? Would love this for F4NV.
What's the go to scrap everything mod that doesn't break things nowadays?
Scrap Everything at Fallout 4 Nexus
Thought that was the one thanks!
Never used MO 1, MO2's mods will stay in appdata after an uninstall, maybe try uninstalling MO 1 to see if it's the same and then install MO 2?
to be fair, i don't explode if i accidentally switch ammo type
That depends on the ammo type.
Remember once I was having ammo issues with the Police Pistol in Dead Money until I found I was using an alternate ammo type and had a stack of unused .357.
it forces you to reload when you don't want to, which can be really bad in certain cases.
But to be fairer, you probably won't be pressing 2 on accident because it isn't a double function button, while a close range option and explosive option on one button is hilariously stupid.
I was thinking of FOMM anyway not MO1.
I'm an idiot
Also in case you're wondering, you can not transfer already installed fomods, you have to disable them and reenable them in MO2.
I never found having grenade and melee on the same button a problem.
The laser rifle in 76 looks more black like the tri-bream rifle.
I don't think anyone actually disagrees, it's just that the disagree rating is the closest we have for saying it it's a problem for others or not.
It is a problem for me. Even when I make sure to press the key quickly enough, there will be about 50% chances my character will throw a grenade instead. Not sure what causes this. It happens with all my keyboards.
when you input your personal experience into a conversation about the objective downsides of certain button combinations, it comes off as if you're being dismissive. we're not sure why you'd state so otherwise.
also, you're a god damn legend with a super powerful machine if you've never accidentally tossed a molotov in some raiders face when you meant to melee bash him
seriously bethesda melee bashing and fucking explosives on the same key are you kidding me
performance, as far as I'm aware. the slightest frame drops will make the key 100%, reliably throw an explosive instead of a melee bash, no matter how fast, slow, hard or soft you tap that button.
at least in my experience, anyway.
Was only because the gamepads don't have enough buttons and Bethesda didn't make it seperate for PCs.
People are saying that they had a different personal experience. Ratings exist so we don't have the thread full of posts saying "I found having grenades and melee on the same button to be a problem" without adding anything new.
To be honest that Betsy is really fucking flat, do not care for it. Dhatri is alright, 1stSgt Astor is okay. I like the VA for the generic NCR, Aurelius of Phoenix is pretty good. Overall I like the idea of it, execution is a bit inconsistent though.
