It's about time, this remake was announced in 2009 and greenlit on Steam in 2013 without ever releasing, anywhere.
I ended up actually getting it anyway, for $10 to get the game and its DLC, it's not a bad buy (I've bought worse for more). To me, it feels like a marriage between Armored Core and Dynasty Warriors, in that it's a mech shooter with basic customization options with missions the revolve mostly around slaughtering thousands of enemies. The difficulty varies between total cakewalk, and "if you stop moving for any reason, you are dead" because even though you can make your mech pretty bulky, enemy fire still rips through you pretty quick. It still feels like a Vita game (in which the original non-HD version was), so if you're like me and play on your Switch mostly in handheld, it's a fun pick-up-and-play kind of game, but I wouldn't recommend it for people who want something more interesting, engaging, and pretty to look at.
My big gripes with the game are just the lack of customization, there's a lot of parts to choose from to make the best mech that fits your playstyle, but there isn't many flavor options, I'd kill for either more preset color options, or just a full custom color picker, emblems, and such. Only other complaint I had was a common problem I had with every Armored Core game, and that's having your horizontal sensitivity being decided entirely by your mech's parts (big bulky stuff or certain leg types mean you turn REALLY slow), but unlike AC, Assault Gunners HD doesn't have a quick-turn button or optional part so going around corners or trying to turn around to face enemies behind you can be agonizing.
If I could improve this game, I'd want multiplayer co-op for missions and hoard mode, and an arena gametype when you go one-on-one with another mech. Both probably unrealistic for a little game, but still would have made amazing additions! All in all, I give it 6/10 it'll keep me satiated until Daemon X Machina comes out.
I mean, this is true if all the porn I've seen can be taken as canon.
I choose to believe it can.
Holy fuck Link is me!
Far as I can tell the Redout port was announced around the time the Switch dropped, and back in September Gamestop pulled their pre-orders, and just yesterday Amazon cancelled all of theirs as well.

I guess it's still coming though.
All this talk about Link and Zelda relationships, and no mention of the end of Zelda II, where it's basically implied that Link and Zelda fuck after the credits.
And to think Link doesn't even get a kiss after saving Zelda and the entire world after Zelda CD-i: The Faces of Evil.
I'm still waiting for news on Shakedown Hawaii since they announced it.
I think the only game that imply where Link and Zelda doesn't hook up is Twilight Princess.

Warframe will not have cross-play and cross-progression.
Imagine them sounding like that without the filter
Don't know if anyone here cares but, they're adding gyro aim in Fortnite in the upcoming 5.0 patch.
Version 3.2 is happening this week.

The bathtub slosher is finally here, goddamn.
Just got my switch an am having issues with ethernet connection, been getting the 2110-3150 (yes, I know errorcodebot, I've read the page) error and am not sure what the issue is.
I don't know if it's because I'm connecting to a university connection (I've input the MAC address into the Uni's database), or if it's the USB-Ethernet adapter I got. The errorcode and the Nintendo page for it don't give me much (any) information on how to solve the problem. It's getting a bit frustrating, because I can't update or download any DLC. Said adapter also uses the correct chipset that the Switch recognises:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I really wanna play Splatoon...
I'm not a big Fortnite player but that is awesome news regardless!
