morally A-OK
that is my way of admitting i would fuck botw link
These on-rails target segments in Octo expansion feel like more a matter of wrestling with the gyro controls than actually being able to aim.

Just completed the Octo Expansion.
Holy *shit* that ending was out of left field.
Commander Tartar was right
I figured clicking on just a picture would be safe. I like how, with scriptblocking enabled, when I clicked on that link I just got the full unredacted wiki page spoiling everything about that character before I even knew what I was reading. Well, thanks for using incredibly retarded methods of displaying simple JPEGs, Wikia. Lightboxes are one of the most overrated and overused Web 2.0 things and I can't wait for them to stop being a current fad.
I'm on 51/80 and I'm having fun, although occasionally challenges are frustrating. Also, screw those on-rails sections where you get one chance to pop boxes along the way while under a strict timer. I beat it by basically flailing around with the motion controls while sloshing constantly until I got off the rail..
a rhythm heaven rep that works based on the rhythm of the BGM would be great but it would be absolutely hellish online
Yeah, I don't see a Rhythm Heaven rep working if they're actually based on the music, even offline. The varying tempo of different tracks would affect their timing and end up making it so that they're more effective when some songs are playing than others. And if that happens, then you'll inevitably have the more serious types demanding that a certain song is always playing or BGM is off entirely so that it's all standardized.
A rhythm heaven character could nod to a certain rhythm unrelated to the song, and have rhythmic multi-hit attacks that react differently if timed properly. That way you could play him properly just by looking at the animations. He could also have a pulsating heart icon next to his damage number.
Or you know. Make it some of it's specials rhythm based like Dolphin Dance was. You needed a certain timing, while not difficult, to properly chain.
And Nintendo is really, really good at organic melodies. Make the hits musical while also being an indicator of the timing being right or wrong for the specific rhythmic attacks.
For example, the flurry standard attack would increase in damage if you hit the A button at the right time, so you keep punching and dealing more damage. Or maybe keep a rhythmic gauge that increases each time you succeed in chaining timed attacks, increasing your overall output.
Kinda like Inkling does with Ink.
I've suddenly realized that I really need a Wii Music stage for Smash Bros. in my life.

Should I be worried if my right joycon vibrates noticeably less than my left one?
Can you give more context? If you mean something like the hidden Moons in Odyssey where you need to search the ground, then yeah.
The 'controllers' menu in the homescreen when you tap on one of the controllers to find one of them
If it makes you feel any better you can listen to the Mario Kart 8 tracks.

That's kind of weird then, it should vibrate as much as the left one in that case.
found a video of it from another guy who has the same problem. At one point in the video he compares the left grey joycon with the red one which is identical with the sounds that my joycon's make (1:48)

not sure if warranty will cover it or if it's really an issue at all

Anyone know if there's a way to buy other regions' software on the switch eshop? I was thinking software like the niconico app and splatoon 2 Japanese version. Or would that require having a Japanese switch?
I think it's as easy as creating a new account on your Switch, tying it to a Japanese Nintendo account and also changing your region in the settings? That's something along the lines of how I did it a few months back.
You just need an account with it's region set to Japan for that, which is easy to do on My Nintendo. Just keep in mind you'll probably need Paypal to buy anything.
Nope, just a Japanese account- here's a guide
I blame Wikia, not you.
The Switch is region-free, itself. You just need to have a regional account to access the Japanese eshop.
Thanks guys, I've done it
It’s very easy. Also make use of this list to find cheapest games by region (typically cheapest is in Mexico)

Hollow Knight for instance, is 149 pesos which is about $7.22 US
The Captain Toad demo is out for EU players.
I'm not in EU but I didn't know Captain Toad was even getting a demo.
