I can't wait to be a post apocalyptic cryptozoologist and beat up the local folklore with a baseball bat.

I wonder what happens if you shoot the nuke with a fatman while it is launching. I could see myself camping the silo just to nip any launches in the bud.
Speaking of the nukes, isn't one of the reasons for launching them to stop the spawning of those dragon enemies that I'm assuming rampage around the area? Would we see people camping silos preventing them from launching so these enemies terrorize the countryside?
Considering how the PvP system seems to work like "you get one unprovoked kill but your victim has to actively continue the feud to let you kill him again", you'd only be able to prevent the nuke from launching for so long.
Ah that's fair enough, I could definitely see that as the overarching plot usually requires a team or at least on person soley focused on that.
That's unfortunate they are going such a strict route. Was hoping that more unrestrictive PVP would do stuff like put a bounty on you or make your inevitable respawn timer longer.
Ultimately means bodygaurd work is going to be less profitable
i'm hoping there is a massive amount of clothes, especially rare ones that you really have to search for.
Considering the massive size of the Fallout community, unrestricted PvP will make the game vastly more like Rust than the intended result of "Fallout 4 Mixed With Star Wars Galaxies".
I've heard Pete Hines talking about wanting to do a bounty hunter system, in which case I'm going to assume it works like Star Wars Galaxies: if you're a bounty hunter and you see someone with a bounty set out for them, they're fair game.
Oh I understand the decision given that the game is aiming to be less outright hardcore then rust but I dunno… I think there are better ways to go about this then simply turning on godmode for players who get capped.
Or buy at the cash store!
Anyway, is anyone doing a mysterious stranger?
Reverse Mysterious stranger, you appear out of nowhere in your trenchcoat, and gank random people who are already under attack by monsters.
Not possible. Everyone's visible on the map, so popping out of nowhere is simply not doable.
OTOH, that means it would be easier for you to follow other players around a mysteriously pop in to help when they need it.
Just... try to look inconspicuous when you're not actively helping. Like, read a newspaper and whistle to yourself.
