I can do it! It's like 2am here though and I'm tired, but I can stay up a little while long and make one, no big.

It will be me vs an enemy team. Every player other than me will be on that team.

If they win then I will give everyone on that team 20 keys, or I get permabanned. If I win then each individual on that team has to give me 10 keys, or get permabanned.
If anyone wants to play then say so in a response, or rate this post agree. If you try to post evidence, then I am also going to assume you want to play.

And that's why I'm fearing the next few weeks. It feels kinda unreal that we are already technically ""due"" an update very soon, the Jungle Inferno wait has really fucked the update schedule up. I'm personally raising my hopes for July at best, because is the TF Team really going to let that sweet peak go to waste again? Not like Jungle Inferno was planned to launch in Octobre.

I only mentioned crits in the title of the thread I made. I did not bring them up otherwise in that thread, and I did not intend to start a discussion about them in that thread.
I merely intended it as a simple joke. Since nobody had an issue with harmless jokes made in the TF2 discussions like when people have told me to commit suicide or called me a sex offender, so I considered it fine to make a trivial joke in the title.
Another thing to consider is that the previous thread titles of general chat threads were also intended to be humorous, so I decided to make a joke in the title of the thread I made as well.

Here's what I expect of this update
new TF2 comic (it's been more than a year now since the last one)
Asteroid/Limited Time gamemode (my own theory is that this limited time event/gamemode is Asteroid)
Heavy class pack + rebalances for him (although they've been quite contradictonary in the past about this, i'm confident we'll have it on this new major update)
DDos protection for servers finally added, just like in CSGO/Dota 2
At least one of the 7 weapons, found in the game files by VNN after JI will be included
Random crits removal as a whole, or a compromise found in adding random crit vote for casual servers (although I prefer the first option)
Rebalances to the weak/last of the problematic weapons (Ambassador/Diamondback comes to mind)
Additional comp improvements based off the data they must have got since march - that includes changes map pool, perhaps map selection list, changes to CTF that include timer and ability to return the intel on touch (hopefully this will be also applied to CTF as a whole, not just comp though)
Also obligatory stuff like campaign, more cosmetics and war paints; while i'm mentioning campaign I hope it's less of a grind-fest, but we'll see.

The thing you guys need to understand is this. Some of these same accusations have been made about me intermittently for around 7 months whenever crits are discussed. Like the accusation: all you ever do is ask "why?". In that time no one has proven any of the accusations they have made.
Let's consider something. Take this accusation that I am about to make. It was trivial for me to find the evidence for it, I did it in about 7 minutes.
I am convinced that there is no truth what so ever to any of these accusations. I can do that sort of thing in minutes, while multiple people have failed to do it over the course of months.

Naive but I really hope the TF Team lays the smackdown on melee balancing in TF2. Currently most stock melees are awful and direct downgrades to melee weapons which offer Utility. Some even offer said utility without even being used! (Candy Cane)
I really think melee should be in three main classes; Combat, Utility, Hybrid, whereas stock is a hybrid of combat and utility and the rest can be rebalanced accordingly. Said this like 300 times but I still think every stock melee weapon apart from the Wrench and Knife should give the wearer a 10% speed boost when it's out. Beef up the melee weapons already meant for combat (outside of Demoknight) like the Bear gloves for heavy, readjust utility melee that might be useless with the new melee speedboost(powerjack).

I think giving them stock melee's a flat speed boost could fix some problems but overall it ain't much of a long term solution. Combat based melee weapons will still be overall untouched outside of messing about because guns can deal more damage at a further range without making yourself vunverble. Atop that melee hitreg still ain't all that reliable when you do get into range, accidentally hitting teammates and them absorbing the damage, attacks missing flat out dispite being in range.
Overall it only really bumps up the baseline for melee's and don't fix any problems. Making the new must run utillity any melee that combines both a speed boost that you suggested with another valuable trait such as the ubersaw, basher ect.
Well the only classes that realistically use their melees for killing aside from spy are sniper, engineer, medic and demo(casual). And many of the kills from those four are made against spies or in desperation after being rushed down anyway, so damage based melee seems like a lost concept at best without some oriented gimmick (demoknight).
That's why you should beef damage orientated melees up to make them more powerful than your hybrids/Utility. Imo a good example of melee for killing is something like the Scotsman Skullcutter.
The "Hybrid" weapons would be stock; So instead of instantly picking your trusty Boston Basher, one might consider running the bat for a faster rollout - atleast in pubs. Or instead of instantly gravitating towards Equalizer, one might even consider the Shovel, as it gives a speedboost without the larger risk.
I still believe no-brainer melees such as the Equalizer, Ubersaw etc. deserve a good slap on the wrist, because to be frank the melee balance game in TF2 is fucked.
Could provide somewhat of a intresting dynamic with weighing what you want in specific circumstances but its a tricky tightrope to walk. If it does not really offer any extra risk then it pretty much hands a bunch of classes who don't have anything going for them rollout wise a free ride to where they want to go and can lead to some issues, see the GRU and EN nerf which aimed to remove pretty much that specific issue, a melee weapon offering a free ride to the battlefield without any major downsides for being able to transport yourself like that.

10% isnt that much, and that's kinda the point. If the 10 speed boost bonus is the new default, said "free rides" would be aswell - thus not being free. This is essentially a melee buff.
it's free nerf to any character who has a good utility melee because speed is king, which is why the powerjack has for the most part been the most popular melee on pyro since its been out
for example this would just be 100% equip rate by any medic worth their salt
stock melees need no changes. they exist so you don't go in T-pose if you somehow manage to run out of ammo.
biggest melee changes i could think of is to replace the melee's ability to leave a bullet hole on a wall
Maybe if the powerjack had an actual notable downside it might not be as popular as it is currently. It is essentially free mobility like how the GRU was before the JI changes, except the downside is more neglectable since it goes away instantly when you put the powerjack away and still recovers health on kills with it which it doesn't even really need.
Yeah, I don't really see a point to really changing the stock melee's at all at this point.
What about stuff like the Third degree vs the Stock axe?
The former weapon is always better than the latter, but it's not such a small degree that it probably barely matters in terms of balance. I think changing the stats of the latter to match the former would be fine.
fireaxe doesn't entice you to do stupid shit like trying to axe a medic infront of his patient.
at any rate, it's the non-stock that need tweaks if something is unabalcned.
The title was just intended as a joke. Yes, you probably don't find it funny. However making a crit joke as a title is pretty minor, all things considered. It was only in the title and I didn't mention it afterwards.
It is also a bit weird to expect anyone to be banned fir trolling.
It can be legitimately hard to tell when people are trolling. The thing is that trolling is a matter of intent, a bit like lying. If someone says something false by accident they aren't lying. Similarly with trolling. By the definition you could have a troll post that is indistinguishable from a good post, and it could even still make people angry.
Now, in my experience the way people and moderators determine if someone is trolling is by judging how out there a post is. People basically have a line of where a post becomes bizzarre enough that they decide "this is most likely trolling", moderators add "I should ban them" on to the end of that . The thing about that "line" is that it is a matter of subjective interpretation. What seems like a joke or just rude to one person may seem like trolling to another. A lot of jokes are pretty bizarre.
So back to facepunch. Stuff like telling people to kill themself as a joke was acceptable, both when someone said it to me and I said it back to them. Nobody got a flaming or trolling ban for that. So that gives us an idea of where the staff places the line.
I think that bit is probably why no one here has gotten banned from trolling or similar stuff. You'd have to put in some serious effort to cross a line that isn't crossed by telling someone to KYS.
here's some food for thought :
tf2 suffers for many reasons
a. valve developers are constantly being shuffled around and the newcommers have no idea what the former employees were working on, or why it worked that way, or just the consensus
b. valve developers seemingly having zero clue about what people want, what people don't like, or hell just playing or enjoying their own game in a semi-consistent way
c. valve developers constantly giving up projects or good ideas, only to create completely 180-turn new ideas out of the blue that also get abandoned in the same way
d. constantly contradicting their own rules, designs or guidelines throughout the years on any level (mostly because of point a)
e. 10 year old broken messy game has no appeal to the "VR IS EVERYTHING" valvesoftware (and admitedly with reason)
f. power creeping terrible balance ontop of previous terrible balance resulting in infinite, un-ending problems
g. basically zero communication. during the years, anytime they trying to correct that they just immediately fell back into silence for a dozen months
i mean mvm was their most ambitious, complex project in tf2 that took countless time to develop and it literally suffers from all previous points for like 5-6 years lmao

Is that enticement thing that big of an issue? The group that is dumb enough to do that probably doesn't have much overlap with the group that knows what the third degree does.
Why tweak the non-stock over the stock?
In spite of all that, TF2 remains a great game. Theory: devs that play the game a lot like Jill don't make changes they personally want to not play favorites, Jill runs a community server for instance, and community servers haven't gotten any more support after JIll joined.
