Is there any reason they couldn't tie new killstreaks to contracts?
Valve likes taking the easy route with TF2. Not all of the time, but commonly enough that it's aggravatingly obvious.
Making a new Chemistry Set with the input of 100 Refined Metal (and possibly a class/slot token because we need to justify their existence somehow) and the output of a light grey Australium weapon seems a lot easier to code compared to a MvM mission. But hey, that might just be me.
but that ain't the easy route.
the easy route is do literally nothing.
Well, the easy route where they do something, at least.
the realest easy valve route is to have someone else do it for you and claim 75% of the profit.
no one really cares as long as tf2 players get anything for tf2.
i get loads of fun
i just meant like, valve's profit is of no interest and we'd still get content. win/win

literally the only thing I want out of this update

Sometimes I wonder if Valve forgot about that feature.

Begging with a side order of bad memes.
The levels of desperation are just plain sad.

I honestly don't think this will ever be a thing. The problem being people would use it to become immune to auto-balance more then anything. Say if a game becomes lopsided and everyone was in parties that remained on the server, then the games would have to rely on pulling people search for games and that's it. That game might as well be over if it can't refill quickly enough. Even short lived unbalanced games can become a unstoppable steamroll as is.
If it attempts to auto-balance the entire party, I just can't see it being an over complicated mess to do that. You need 3 people to fix the unbalanced match? Well, we can't move any of these folks because they're in a six person party...
Yeah, I just don't see it happening IMO...
it already splits parties with autobalance, that option would be used if you specifically want to play against your friends
You missed the point I was trying to make. What I was saying is that people would make parties for the sake of becoming immune to auto-balance. Which, if you want to keep balanced games, you can't really allow that. Imagine if the only people in the team that had more people were all immune to being auto-balanced because they were all in parties...
Well, it looks like we're in for another long haul boys. Thanks for all the communication, Valve!
I don't think that's what that feature would do, I think if you unchecked it your party could start a match with some people on Red and some on Blu instead of all on the same team.
I guess that's true. A lot of people on a few forums have been demanding that parties get immunity from auto-balance as of late. Didn't consider the situation when you first enter a match. With how that's worded it could go both ways.
Can't wait for this feature to unlock in 2020.
I do hope the party feature gets added soon, I sometimes play with a group of 5-6 people pretty late at night (midnight or later central time) and it takes a really long time to queue up because it's very clear the matchmaker tires to find us another party to play against (there's almost always an obvious party on the other team). I'm hoping if the party gets split up we would likely find a match faster.
and then it somehow breaks the game
You are aware this feature is checked right now and already splits parties, like Nebrassy said, right? It wouldn't make you immune because the "keep parties on the same team" feature is only for the pre-game, not for the in-game. The problem you are describing literally does not exist and will not exist because it doesn't right now.
I just wanna fight against my friends man
Yeah, I see it checked. But it's also greyed out and stats "coming soon" as well. I would think that would suggest that it's not even implemented in yet wouldn't it? But yeah, I'm not against the feature allowing you to fight against your party though. But there are plenty that want nothing of it out there.
Infinite uber exploit round 3.
Has anyone encountered that exploit on Upward where BLU Demomen can use their stickies to kill RED team members inside the final spawn by stickying the roof that directly borders the final RED spawn?
I'd upload a demo of me testing it, but i've no idea how to convert .dem files into .avi
It's a very old map exploit, it's nothing new.
Valve is asleep at the wheel, as usual. We’ve emailed valve about all this many times, and as usual we’re hit with the big nothing in response,
it's not the grate. it's something else
