Just leave damn it, nobody is forcing you to stay in a casual match. You can even re-queue while in a match.
trying to turn non-problems into a big deal is probably why every attack is so inconsistent in the game tbh. If Dustbowl and Hydro's crampy corridors are the only reason valve decided projectiles should act so dumb then it's time we can safely get rid of that. everything should either be blocked (*and* at any range) or not at all.
Most things are blocked. The only important things that aren't blocked are Sniper primaries and Pyro secondaries. All other bullets and projectiles are blocked.
unless its any projectile at some unknown close range
That's more of a problem with how models register at extremely close range vs. HUD.
No, they made it so some projectiles don't get blocked at close range in the Invasion Update.
Was it done to prevent self-damage?
sure. now put it on friendly buildings too.
Rich Geldreich (former Valve dev) has been "giving advice" about self-organizing companies on twitter: https://twitter.com/richgel999/status/1018967344935124992 https://twitter.com/richgel999/status/1018427957776302081 https://twitter.com/richgel999/status/1018953897811984384 https://twitter.com/richgel999/status/1018671615385595904 https://twitter.com/richgel999/status/1018672231012974593 These are just some excerpts - there's a lot more on his twitter page.
It's amazing Valve releases absolutely anything. It's never changing as the cabal bosses will fire dissidents.
Reminder to take everything co-workers say with a grain of salt given there are enough alternative viewpoints, thanks
reminder to suck valve's dick constantly

I am neutral on Valve, all the annoying shit they do balances with the good shit. Steam Input, Steam Controller, OpenVR, (if it doesn't get shelved) the Knuckles controller, releasing Steam networking openly efforts with Vulkan, Steam Audio. There is tons of talent and passion at Valve. It's just not in their personal financial interest to make sequels or do unglamorous things like updating TF2.
I was the one that wrote the patch note on blocking crates and keys -- I wrote it like that because the wiki categorizes all crates and keys under the same two articles. All cases are still internally numbered in the game as continuations of the crate numbers, you just can't see them; so the wiki continues as though they were all the same crates and keys. I know it's already been explained that it was every crate, I just wanted to apologize for the confusion.
https://twitter.com/richgel999/status/1018756500070662144 This is odd since a Valve dev has an illness (something with the pancreas or liver?) and Gabe told him the only thing he needed to worry about was getting better. Unless he got ill after leaving Valve.
to the majority of fans the last worthwhile thing they made is portal 2. though. every single steam hardware is a flop so far and is completely irrelevant to what is expected. I'm not really bothered about tf2's fate. It got reasonable and respectable attention through the years and it could definitely be put down right away.
epic my dude, you sure showed me! you are so alpha ! valve has enough flaws but what people need to remember is that different people have different experiences, I wont doubt that there are enough co-workers that hate valve with a passion but there are enough that probably love it there
Valve doesn't do what is expected. I have a Steam Controller and I am grateful Valve finally tried to improve the PC controller situation. I only became aware of TF2 during Love and War and could only play it from Smissmas 14 on, sad that I never got to experience the golden age.
Why is it that people like you constantly advocate the death of this game simply because conditions and/or your personal interest in it have been deteriorating?
i know right? sandman doesn't stun and critcola is risky, tomislav is stock+1 again. best game ever.
Man you're walking into this and posting with a lot of hostility. Are you really complaining that the sandman doesn't stun anymore?
I don't think you understand what I'm getting at with exor. At any rate, valve is still my most favorite videogame ever and TF2 is my favored baby. That won't change anytime soon. I enjoy calling out things that are either wrong or just in blatant denial. I imagine that's a bad trait? As for the state of the game, there's a reason every single one of the old MUS posters left, you know? it's just this small group left made of die-hard valve lovers (99% of them that weren't with the game at the time to witness each and every wrong step valve took) and some old grand pa's such as exor and I.
Every single one of the old MUS posters left because they got banned during the mass shitposting, saw the bans and didn't give a shit anymore, or didn't feel like wasting the time migrating to newpunch. It has nothing to do with the state of actual TF2. If you were there you should know this.
That's far too recent. I am talking way far back before this year (the purge doesn't count, anyone could/can easily come back, as I'm very sure you're personally aware)
I know you are jabbing at me so Ill just make it clear; being quite simply fair to a developer studio even one as unstable as valve isnt being a "die hard valve lover", ignoring their flaws and saying they are a perfect company would valve is a shitty company in several aspects and especially as a tf2 fan denying it simply is naive, but going at them as if there wasnt a single positive thing recently and that one only likes tf2 because of "ze golden years" is just silly given there are enough positives to look at if you wanna shit at the tf team, valve etc. do it in a fair light instead of entirely onesided with a cool kid snark factor (Also maybe a lot of the old MUS posters left because of the general direction Facepunch was heading/Them simply burning out? Games dont hold you forever you know, and a lot of people seem to struggle to simply admit they are burned out on a game)
Are you under the impression that because I don't want the game to die, I'm a fan of Valve as a company?
No. I am under the impression that was an extremely hypocrite post, is all. Surely there are still some people left who do remember your ways of thinking toward TF2.
I know I'm not the oldest MUS member nor the biggest, but it will be my 6th year on the thread later this week. I still love TF2 and play it plenty, I just don't post much because I'm shy and everyone's opinions keep getting larger.
TBH I don't play super often except when there's an update since I have a colossal backlog that would take hundreds of hours to chew through.
