Does anybody want to play air RB with me? I'm not a fan of tanks but enjoy playing the aircraft.
Is it just me or is the m36 much worse than the m18 despite having a higher BR?
The M18 is pretty much better than the M36 in almost every way except for firepower and armour (not that it matters, its still thin).
The M36 does quite well with the 90mm when facing 5.7, goes quite nicely with the T25 in a line-up.
Holy fuck the BMO is way better at killing shit at it's BR than it has any right to be (at least in arcade, can't get much for RB matches). The 37mm main gun with AP will absolutely shred everything you can throw at it (HE isn't too bad either, just won't be getting much in the way of 1 shot wonders), the twin twin 12.7's when they have the rotation speed upgrade have just enough aim cone area to be somewhat useful when the enemy team gets fucky with planes, and the rear 45mm cannon is stupid good at pulling random boats out of the space time continuum and 1 shotting them. Seriously though on that last part, those AI 45mm gunners are capable of killing things that don't even exist even with the HE shells.
Oh and bonus points because it's fairly well armored for the BR and becomes a menace if you remember to angle. Just don't let people with HE shells pelt you too much or else your crew will vanish mysteriously from fragmentation.

when you club so much that you run out of ammo and have to resort to alternative tank incapacitation methods

Except having only a marginally better gun doesn’t make up for the significant drop in speed. Since both tanks effectively don’t have armor, most of what you want to be doing in this is sniping at odd angles which the m18 can more reliably get to. The only thing the m36 does better is sniping frontally at a target, which isn’t ideal since the 90mm doesn’t pen that much more than the 76mm.
Also the m18 can get a cap right at the start pretty easily which means you will be getting more points while still having good enough speed to leave to a safer place after.

Owners of the pre-order Royal Naval bundles will receive access to the British fleet in update 1.83 “Masters of the Sea!”
Please note that the US, German and Soviet naval bundles don’t give you access to the British Royal Naval research tree.
Research progress for Royal Navy Closed Beta Test participants will not be reset in the future.
:thonk:
yesss I was right, the HMCS Haida <3
Hold on, thats bullshit.
I bought into naval testing when they first put up the preorders only to lock part of it behind another? At no fucking point did they say you wouldnt have access to all the tech trees.
the icing on the cake is that there's no 50% discount thing for already owning a boat like there was with the other packs

How do you adjust the amount of ammo you bring outside of the game? I always forget to change it until my tank is already dead at which point the game won't even let me select the tank.
You can't adjust amount except in spawn screen.

Yay, more premiums...
We back from the dead at just the right time
I grabbed the combo-pack to get the bias-leo and a shitton of premium and GEagles. Helicopter in the future is just a bonus.
Frankly I don't see the problem people have with 'more premiums'. Gotta keep the game running and cash flowing, and at least the premium BO is worse than the mainline equivalent. 6x HOT > 8x TOW. There's quite a few bullshit premium tanks out there (Leo 1A1A1 120mm and RU251 comes to mind), but overall I don't get why people complain.
what's bullshit about the 120mm leo 1a1a1a1a1a1?
Too long, didn't watch:
FPE will be available to research immediately after repair kit;
Repair a friend without parts if you're in a squad or just playing a light tank or IFV;
No RP cap for actions or activity.

Removing the RP cap, thank fuck. Maybe I'll start playing tanks again.
Shame you still have to continue researching parts and FPE, and loners are still 'punished' for not having friends to play with. (me)
At least they're trying to improve.
It's functionally identical to the 2K except 0.7 BR lower, and with a instant super-accurate rangefinder which makes HEAT long-range viable. The things you lose is speed (but you still outrun Russians) and the 20mm anti-heli gun.
it's not functionally identical to the 2k at all, it's pretty much just a sidegrade from the regular leo 1a1a1a1a1a1. the 2k is significantly faster (almost 2x the hp/t) and has an armour layout that's surprisingly good at protecting the tank, those two factors alone justify the BR gap.
comparing the 120mm to the 105mm:
-it has better heatfs but at that tier heatfs is pretty irrelevant
-it's got the same rof as the regular 1a1a1a1a1
-the dm13 sabot is marginally better against flat armour but the dm23 sabot has longrod modifiers so is better against sloped armour which is far more important (the dm23 is also about 30% heavier so it's going to spall a lot more)
the only real advantage the 120mm leo has is the laser rangefinder and the higher velocity rounds, otherwise it's either equal or slightly worse.
also don't be so sure about the leo1a1a1 outrunning russians; i squadded my non-spaded t-64a with a friend in the leo and i had a fairly easy time keeping up with him (even pulling ahead in places), but if he were in a 2k he'd be leaving me behind in the dust
I think you're severely underestimating the value of BRs though. The A1A1A1A1A1A1 120mm only faces the horror of the Abrams-meta 25% of the time if we assume a perfect distribution (which we honestly shouldn't but that's another story), while the 2k does it 75% of the time. On top of that, a full second faster reload than the 2K is also really really strong, putting it well ahead of it's competitor in the form of the XM-1. Basically, I feel the A1A1A1A1A1 120 is far, far better at the matchup it's likely to face while maintaining the ridiculous power of the 2K. That it's not as speedy doesn't matter as much when you don't face Abramses most of the time, and it still keeps up when it needs to keep up. I guess my impressions of Russian slowness has been left by the T-54/55 series I've been playing lately.
>The A1A1A1A1A1A1 120mm only faces the horror of the Abrams-meta 25% of the time
it faces abrams just as much as the regular 1a1a1 which is, as i pointed out, overall very much on par with the 120mm one so for fairness' sake you'd have to argue 105mm one is undertiered too (spoiler: it's not).
>On top of that, a full second faster reload than the 2K is also really really strong putting it well ahead of it's competitor in the form of the XM-1

actually they all have the same 8.7s reload - and yes, the XM-1 does have an inferior armament to both flavours of leo 1a1a1, but for that sacrifice it is rewarded with the go-kart agility of a 10.0 tank and blowout panels on its turbo speed turret
>That it's not as speedy doesn't matter as much when you don't face Abramses most of the time
in my experience the majority of my matches with the 120mm leo have been full uptiers, so it not being able to go-kart around like an xm-1 is actually pretty noticeable
