I'm just glad sombeody is doing it. I haven't played a proper German campaign in any game since Opposing Fronts was released in 2007.
"A lone Tiger tank crew begins to question the ideology that got them to this point." I have a feeling they're going to switch sides.
Can't have it any other way with the way things are in this day and age, they would either have to be completely comically evil or conveniently switch sides.
Oh I understand why.
I really like how the assignments are "Do 2 of 3" or "Do 3 of 5" instead of "Do this THEN this, if you do the second thing before the first is doesn't count!"
More 2 cents: -After playing a few rounds last night, I made the discovery that tanks look to be locked to ranked levels. Which means you gotta grind for em. Eugh. -The medium tanks are somehow more useful than the heavy or light tanks. -There is not a whole lot people can do against tanks, or at least that’s how it seems. Most of the people just kinda lemming rush you. Again, whoever decided to hide the acquired stuff you get on rank up was a bit of a goofball. -Tank exploder tier list AT Gun: most reliable source of continuous pain, plus the most amount of pain Other tanks: No duh, but with the open beta there are a LOT of 3 IQ driver gunner AT mines: requires a bit of sneaking/luck, but had the most solid punch of the base unlocked stuff Panzerfaust: Has 2 shots, but still better than the sticky dynamite since you can hit things from RANGE. Also does more damage powergap tank suicide: it’s more common than you think Sticky dynamite: The fuck happened to you? Not only does less damage, but can’t even be used for a solid anti-tank build due to the ammo limit (thanks dice). It’s honestly better for Operation position clearing now. -Any upgrade that upgrades the repair/resupply of vehicles is rediculously good. -the hot key to swap spaces in vehicles is bugged (at least for me idk about the rest) -The plane beta meta is as follows: Stuka medium for the Germans, Heavy Bomber for the Brits. So far, there is little to no reason to use the light planes or the spitfires. Especially with the manuevabilty of the heavy bomber (plus its bombs) -How I would fix it: literally just give the Medium spitfire a droppable bomb or something. Give me a actual reason to play aggressive spitfire rather than just becoming the Air Patrol. -There is no reason to not upgrade your stuff. -There is no reason to not upgrade your stuff. -I already miss spotting.
So you want to single handedly be able to destroy a tank on your own without relying on your teammates? I can see that being very annoying as a tank which would make them incredibly useless. You also get 3 max if you stop at the supply Depot.
More like I want 2 bundles of dynamite to do more than just lightly scratch the paint job.
Thats one massve stepup i love in V, tank tracks get damaged and not inoperable. Also whoever made the mg on tanks and planes that fucking satisfying to shoot deserves a medal. Love peppering a side of a building with MG fire.
Why are people so retarded? Don't stand just outside of the capture zone when you're defending FFS. We were so close to winning and these morons just stood on top of a hill shooting into the point. Also Grand Operations doesn't switch teams after a match, so if you're trying to do the "Arm a bomb" beta objective you may as well quit the second you find out you're on defence. You'll always be on defence.
Welp, this game runs like absolute unplayable garbage for me. Even on lower settings. Shouldn't have any problems running it, the game even suggested maximum settings and I can play BF1 and every game out there at max settings with decent FPS. This game runs above 60 and then massively drops into sub 20.. Ah well.
I spent my first round just towing an AT gun with a half-track with my buddy and we managed to get like 3-4 tank kills pretty fast. Other than that its okay I guess, the STG-44 is still infuriating to play against but at least they can't carry 5 panzerfaust, support still feels pretty meh.
IMO supports should be able to set up gun emplacements anywhere, with a limited amount of ammo ofc.

Huh, BF2's upgrade system is nothing like that.
The composer who did the music deserves a raise, the menu soundtrack is incredible.
Oh I see what he means, never mind.
I don't miss spotting, at all. Getting headshot from across the map through smoke by some mongoloid scout thinking he's gods gift to snipers is not and was never fun. I like this new system, my only complaint is i wish the shield icon was a little more opaque.
There is already a flare on the tank/aircrew class I think. Not sure what it does, if anything.
The flaregun is in the beta, it's the level 10 unlock for scouts and it works just like BF1, spotting enemies on the map in a limited range. That said I haven't seen any level 10 scouts so I have no idea how powerful is it.
I think i remember either hearing that they'd do it this way or hearing someone say it should be done this way in that it's a pulse instead of a constant field of spotting, which would be a nice balance.
It's pretty powerful, this time around it works like a proper flare and you need to launch it in the sky to increase its area of effect. If you shoot it on the ground the spotted area is very small.
Apparently the words White Male are censored in the chat. DICE just keeps hitting those history home runs, eh
I'm coming back home 4 hours from now (8pm EST). Anyone with microphones would like to team up on the Discord to PTFO tonight?
but we're on the right side of history when we play a black female german sniper
To be fair, chat never has anything useful to say 95% of the time. Removing it entirely would be a direct upgrade (which you can by hiding it).
poop and dlc are censored too, probably not worth looking into too much.
I was having bad performance problems until I remembered to close firefox and suddenly I hit 60fps with no problem on medium. Still hasn't fixed my crashing problem though, no idea what's causing that. There's also a lot of bugs, especially around reviving people which I hope get fixed. Aside from that, I'm having a blast with this. I like pretty much every change they've made, the weapons feel so much better than in 1, the building mechanic is a good addition, and the two maps are much better than the worst from 1.
I'm probably going to skip this one or wait until it goes on sale, everything feels really jank. Everything I liked from the previous installment has been toned down while everything I hate has been amplified.
