I mean, it takes like 1 game to max out a guns level  the perks should have a downside or not be as effective, but its not like battlefront 2 where you could get crazy fucking upgrades that make you/your ship especially 5x better than other players
https://twitter.com/MrProWestie/status/1038178983047819264 Game obviously needs more time for release, fucking deadlines fucking ea
B-b-but the share holders! Stock prices! It should be delayed until December imo
Not wrong, but consider the fact that we're all most likely more competent than your average pubbie and that they're not capable of pulling amazing 40-10 games and will likewise will probably spend quite a bit of time getting stomped by more competent players' weapons that are better than theirs in every way. It's not TOO bad as Battlefront, but it still feels a tad unfair and bringing downsides would imo spice up the balance quite a bit vs no downsides like we do now.
Is there a way to adjust the zoom level when you ADS like in BF1?
What assurances do we have that once a less than quick upgrade system is in place EA won't come along and monetize credits, either directly or indirectly?
https://clips.twitch.tv/ObservantIronicCheddarImGlitch Its actually true, what the fuck lmao.
This is my way of thinking. I don't inherently mind the upgrades but they need some sort of drawback. Pure upgrades are shit in a competitive game.
Can't verify if it is true but there's also this. Fucking hilarious if its true. https://www.reddit.com/r/Battlefield/comments/9e2u2c/brits_have_women_asians_blacks_the_wehrmacht_only/
That feature really isn't a priority imo
I imagine dragging soldiers would have the same bug as pulling emplacements. As in you drag them and fly into space because desync.
Tried some BFV with a friend today, pretty fun and looks great, but the squad system really needs polishing, we had a lot of issues making a squad and joining together.
Dunno if I'm wrong here, but did they implement some sort of War Thunder-esque after-penetration effect for tank shells or something? I notice that shooting at angled targets would only net me an initial impact damage of only 10, but if I hit them on any armor plate flat, I get the 10 damage impact plus some sort of after explosion hit usually double or nearly triple damage of the initial hit. The after explosion is noticeably more powerful in the Tiger vs something like a Churchill or Panzer. Would be pretty dope if it was the case and would explain the various shell types in the upgrade tree.
Got some stupid bug where I can't deploy anywhere as a Medic. Only was able to play a little the first day then randomly the bug kicked in. I can play every other class though.
It was fine before the beta was opened to everyone. I think the origin servers are having issues and that seems to produce some unexpected bugs with the party system.
Dunno if people have talked about this but: it makes me sad that you can't turn off AA. The blur it adds is really noticeable, especially since you are trying to look as far as you can in most maps. There is no config you can edit, and changing nvidia options can't turn it off either. I have, however, found something that helps: max the AA and post processing settings and max/increase the sharpness on your monitor. It's pretty good then.
Battlefield has actually had that armor angling reducing damage mechanic for a very long time. At least as far back as Bad Company 2, but it might have also been in the old Refractor engine games. I wish the recoil for all guns was like, doubled. I think the time to kill is too fast. I'd be fine with making all automatic weapons take one more bullet to kill, but another way to do it is to further increase recoil to make people take more time to aim shots and reduce the effectiveness of just spraying down a target with automatic fire at everything but point blank.
Na, I know angling was already in the series for a while. I'm referring to damage thanks to the shell damaging the internals of the tank when it actually penetrates into the armor as I suspect it to be the case as angled shots with only impact damage would mean superficial impact damage from the shell with no more additional damage, but if it penetrates non-angled armor, it blows up inside the tank's armor and causes much more damage in the form of a secondary hit twice or so the damage of the initial shell impact.
I honestly have no idea what you're talking about anymore, but I've only shot at one tank so far and I could barely see him. I just remember seeing like 20 points being awarded for a hit and not much else. I did notice that I've had my tracks damaged and so movement got janky, but that's about it for that sort of thing. I wish we had a test range like in BF4 because now I'm curious if they've done stuff like that. They did the cool shell ricochet thing in BF1, so maybe they expanded the way that armor works.
Wait what?
The chat filter seems on the whole extremely sensitive, I can't remember exactly what but I said a completely normal sentence in chat and one of the words got censored and I had no idea why. Also I'm having the worst luck with the 'win a grand operation' quest, either that or its bugged. The first 5 or so games I played on attack we lost horribly then when I finally got a few games on defense we lost horribly as well. I got into one game 30s before it ended and said we won but I still didn't get the quest as well. Then I just had a game on defense where we completely crushed them first round and held the 2nd round for ages but they finally won so they won overall?? I don't really understand how the operation works if the first map seems completely meaningless other than to decide how many extra reinforcements the attackers get on the 2nd round because regardless of who wins the first it still goes to the 2nd. Then again I had one that was a draw so no idea...
Doesn't matter at this point because you can only play 2 out of the 4 days of a grand operation.
Has anyone else had the issue where opening the game just gets stuck on the black loading screen with the V circle in the top right? I've found nothing on Google and it seems no one else is having this issue :/
I dunno, to me it seems like its the usual kinda crappy battlefield system where if one team has a 100-150 point lead half way through the game there's basically no coming back. I'm pretty sure each tick the enemy loses 1x(amount of points you hold) tickets then each team loses one ticket per player respawn. I like the destiny capture point system where kills award more tickets to the team who holds more points and less to the team who holds less, it allows for comebacks but does encourage steamrolling. I have never liked the system BF uses though because the game usually reaches a point where they may as well just end it because it's impossible to win for one team unless they manage to capture every point and hold them fully for the rest of the game.
I think I maybe know what's happening. Instead of the team with fewer points losing tickets (like in the old games) it's like in BF1 where you remove tickets with flags regardless how how many flags the enemy has but now the ticket bleed is much slower so kills actually matter way more.
Solid game. Super interesting to play something that isn't Omaha Beach or Operation Market Garden over and over again. Narvik is so pretty.
I've had a real bizarre glitch one match, basically nobody was able to revive anyone. Anyone else experienced that?
The new spectator mode is a blessing. https://twitter.com/HooptyBooty/status/1038550982148468737 https://twitter.com/HooptyBooty/status/1038207281471606784
So according to the Dev stream, they're going to be dialing back the 'crazy' customisation options in favour of authenticity? Look forward to seeing how that pans out.
I don't see so far how any of the customization options, at least for guns, are "crazy" in the slightest.
