Playing a Battlefield game without attack helicopters, jets, and tanks was such a fun distraction. I get the criticism that it should have been an expansion pack, or even a particularly ambitious mod, but it was still enjoyable as it's own product. Too bad I'm permabanned from one of the last consistently populated servers because I killed a madmin
BF1 had a pretty big lack of small vehicles on the really large maps (looking at you Sinai Desert.) They encourage squad play so much but never give you vehicles to move your buddies around with.
Best part about Hardline was sniping people with the harpoon gun. I had more kills with that than any other weapon.
First game back in BF1 is on this Galicia map and oh boy am I glad I didn't put any money on this because wow they didn't even try making a map.
Why is it every time i go to matchmaking i always lose connection to ea servers? Tried everything but still nothing. Funny how a couple hours ago it also didnt work but suddenly did then shat itself again.
They encouraged squad play??
It's not just Galicia, half the maps in the game are just big empty plains, big empty gently rolling hills, or big empty side-of-a-mountains. It's like someone told the mapping department they're making maps for a WW1 game and nobody there knew only one of the classes uses bolt-action rifles.
I was going to post the exact same thing about the maps getting worse with each DLC. I think most of the French maps are good; Verdun is kind of a slog and really one-sided on Operations but the Frontlines version is great I hate Lupkow Pass and Galicia and I know people hate the Tsar map but personally I like it. The fourth map is okay; not great, not terrible. Honestly the only Tides map I like is Achi Baba but I really like it, it's one of my favorite maps in the game For Apocalypse I've only played Somme and Passchendaele, the former I hate and the latter I enjoy.
Tbh pretty much the moment BFV was announced i dropped BF1 for good and i can't see myself ever going back to it like i still do with BF4.
I tried it again after not playing it since it pretty much since it came out, and I can't get back into it either. New maps are mostly garbage and anything but conquest is depopulated so I can't even try them out. Performance also dropped by lilke 30-40% since the last time I played it.
ngl I really enjoyed Tsaritsyn, it really captured the Stalingrad feel of urban combat (Makes sense because it is literally Stalingrad ). But it needed to be bigger.
Honestly, I thought TUTI had the best maps with the only stinker being Cape Helles Heligoland Bight was p refreshing for being very heavily focused on naval warfare along with its sheer size giving you a break from BF1's other chokepoint heavy grinder maps and Zeebrugge is pretty neat historically while being not too bad of an infantry map or naval map. Achi Baba flows very well and is super fun infantry gameplay, but has no vehicles while Cape Helles can freely go fuck itself with its stupid difficulty against the British Empire and sheer sniper fest.
I might be part of a team modding Battlefield 1 👀 http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/8e7d884db.png
Having played some rounds of BF1 again after the beta of V I immediately miss some of the improvements V offered. Especially the removal of 3D spotting. Any kind of stealth in BF1 is useless since just about anyone just needs to press spot in your general direction and you become a massive target for every gun on the other side of the map. On the other hand it can also be used to cheese the fuck out of it playing as a plane or recon, just spam spot until something to shoot at lights up. There is nothing worse than spending time trying to flank around the frontline, and being spotted when you finally flank so you end up being shot at from 3 directions at once since a giant fucking marker is placed above your head.
Encouraging squad play buy adding tanks that steamroll with only one seat lmao 🤣 Shoot a truck once, take like 25% damage and it's already out of there by the team you reload. And your squad is scattered around the map because fucked if I know
Can't agree more. I felt wanting to go back to BFV simply because overall I found it more fun and rewarding
That moment when YongYea used my fan-art with crediting the original artist(me) in the description or in the video at all: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSrVPEZApB0&pbjreload=10 https://www.reddit.com/r/BattlefieldV/comments/8nw7hf/fanart_my_vision_of_what_battlefield_v/

Damn. You need to call him out, this shit is unacceptable. He's a big YouTuber, he should know better. If you need my support, you have it. I'm at work here atm, anyone else would like to help out?
Yea let's lawyer up on the motherfucker
What?

More details on this? Always thought modding BF games are somehow much harder to do than Battlefront.
We're modding BF1 the same way some are modding Battlefront 2, we're using the Frosty Suite for the mod. It's a matter of simply importing the reskins in the game using the re-worked textures we are working on, saving it all as a frosty mod file and then launching the game with it applied. It's pretty easy really, creating a mod replacing the german and ottoman textures took me a solid 2 minutes.

So whatcha modding? Just visual stuff atm?
Only question worth asking is if it is covered by fair use. That's would be his only defence
It's not a study of his image for academic purposes or used in parody. It's not transformative in any way. He didn't have the rights to it and should have asked permission first. Fair use can't possibly apply.
He probably won't get any flak since i uploaded this on Reddit only, so it's free use if i'm correct(correct me if i'm wrong) Fair use or not, at least credit the artist (me) in the description for making your thumbnail, unintentionally. It's the generosity that i care about. If he can research and source his main topic, he can't do the same for the thumbnail art? Damn, i sound like i'm bitching at this point but this isn't the first time this has happen to me. I would expect a small Youtuber to pull this off but YongYea? Come on.
It's completely reasonable. The absolute least he could have done was credit you.
