Pinhole sights honestly feel like they were designed by a lunatic. Like I refuse to believe that they were ever a good option. I'd rather my rear sight be a big fucking hole than to completely remove all peripheral vision... and regular vision. And focused vision.
You use aperture sights with both eyes open right? The way your eyes focus, the rear sight practically goes "invisible" kinda like your nose?
Is the RS2 one a new addition? Been awhile since I've played it, but that's a pretty creative if not ghetto as fuck way to keep ironsight scales correct while not completely murdering their gameplay functionality.
Nah, was just a mockup by a reddit user to show how it should function

The Weapons, Vehicles, and Other Gear Coming with Battlefield V The website link if you just want to skim quickly. Apparently they'll be answering questions about it on Friday, while disappointing some American weapons like the Bar, Garand, Springfield and concept art weapons like the flugelthing aren't making it in yet, I can understand if they're holding back for Tides of War/not implemented in game yet. What they do need to answer though is why weapons we've clearly seen in game already like the Sjogren-inertial and the Vickers (the handheld version, there's a mounted one listed there) are not part of the list.
No MAS-36 Hopefully it's added over time
No M1 Garand how could they fuck this up they had just one job.
Garand will probably be added with a US Army post launch update with Shermans and the like.
America update happens and every match becomes a cacophony of pings for two weeks.

^ me when the garand gets added.
Time to civilize'em with the Krag
Brand new soundtracks just released : https://soundcloud.com/battlefield_official/sets/battlefield-v-official holyfuckingshit/20 , I didn't believe it was possible to do even better than the BF1 OST.
Meh, I like Strength and Guile but I could take or leave the rest. Older iterations of the main BF theme were better imo.
the legacy theme should've had a straight up adaptation of the original kick in somewhere near the end, as it is currently it just feels disjointed somewhat
Holy fuck I never catapulted the fuck out of my bed that fast before
Don't understand why you guys are hyping it up so much, the OST is decent but none of the songs give me chills like some BF4 and BF1 songs.
The BF4 soundtrack wasn't anything special imo.
The tracks on show there are alright with the Tirailleur and Strength & Guile being pretty top tier. The other top tier tracks are obviously not out yet, but you can listen to some of them here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpYCI-Z9GsM&t=1311s There's BF1 motifs scattered here, like in the 20 min mark where it's a straight remix of A War To End All Wars No doubt Johan and Patrik will nail the OST again this time around.
Where the ding? https://youtu.be/FyRMcv5ikHQ
Staghound in action Look at that bouncy boi go https://twitter.com/EA_DICE/status/1048145817922654208
Yeehaw mg42 https://youtu.be/e2Ck0bKolcU
Not surprised to see not a single piece of Soviet equipment, and while yeah tides of war gives a chance to see some I bet it will be a mosin, ppsh and if we're lucky maybe a BT and/or T-34. Typical modern DICE to completely dismiss the biggest and arguably the ones who lost the most in favour for weird shit like a self-loading rifle that was "never adopted by the US army".
I don't see how this is a problem. Do the soviets have to be included in some shape or form in every ww2 media? The game has enough issues and this concerns me the least.
oof that MG42 looks yummy Hope that its non-penetration damage is rape-tier as standing still in BF usually means instant death via sniper after 2 microseconds of setting up the bipod
Or porting the S-blaster over even though only 1k were made in ww1, but its there in 2?
OH FUCK YES 1200RPM UPGRADE WOOHOOOOOO TIME TO FUCK THE NETCODE AND RUIN PEOPLES' DAYS
Then just add it to your pile of issues. I get that not every faction can be represented every time, but I'm especially salty since the endgame message of BF1 were "we can never forget all of these people that made a sacrifice blah blah blah" but at that point the french, germans and russians (literally the 3 major contributors/biggest losses) were more or less not represented at all. A huge disservice. Of course everyone can't be happy and I'm sure there are some people out there who are really pissed that canadians and chinese never are considered in WW2 games, but in mainline games like this that obviously concern the "big players" it just feels so stupid to just put a random focus. I would be way more ok with this if the current roster really was centered to the concerned factions, and it seems to start with brits and germans, but the weapon selection etc are all over the place (american and french stuff etc). Like, post-scriptum doesn't have soviets and I'm ok with that since it's very obvious what specific theatre they want to focus on.
"It will come later" is the most dangerous way to think about this, especially when two of the expansions that people paid for in BF1 were lackluster at best.
