Is anyone honestly surprised? We knew a premium currency was an inevitability with this game. You can take some comfort in the fact they have explicitly stated you can only buy non-game-affecting items with it, though.

I guess it'll depend on whether or not they're just straight up porting the assets across.
The thing is that makes sense because those are the guns that modern militaries use and the game was continually set in the same era. It'd be analogous to complaining about a WWII game re-using weapons from a previous WWII game. Of course it's going to have the same guns. The thing that's weird about the re-used WWI guns is that there's a few oddballs in there that were extremely rare in WWI, let alone would have seen any real use in WWII a little over 2 decades later. They should've filled the roster with actual WWII weapons, interwar weapons like the Vickers-Berthier, or if they want to keep with the "WWII like you never saw it" thing then use some really late war stuff like the Sterling.
