Maybe if they really treated supply drops as a stopgap measure. Like, make it so you can only get an extra magazine, can't resupply grenades or gadgets and give it a long cooldown (like 20 seconds) and the medical supply drop med pouch only restores 30 hitpoints. Then having a support and medic player in the squad is gonna be way more useful. Actually, add the same behavior to the classes themselves if they don't drop ammo/meds akin to Hardline.
I posted about the hitbox thing here too. The idea is that if you shoot someone in the arm, but it would penetrate into the body, then it counts as a bodyshot. Currently in the alpha however, body part damage multipliers are 1.0, and the only exception is the head which sits around 1.8. This means you are sometimes taking more damage than you should be.
I have to ask where does the fighting happen for you? Because I'm almost always contesting flags and every single flag has supply stations on them. I've rarely seen or needed a support to actually give me ammo.
Off the top of my head, on conquest, the top part of B and D don't have supplies. If you jump down to grab some, you could be jumping into a fight unprepared. It's risky. Between A and C there's only a single supply station at a house on top of the hill, which is very handy if that's your attack vector, but if you come from closer to the train bridge then you won't have any nearby. Anyways, I think the low supply stuff feels fine, it has that balance where I can manage without a medic or support, but they still feel right when present. I would pick support more often if the bren wasn't so shit.
I guess I should clarify; usually by the time I clear an objective or an area, I can easily make it to the supplies, resupply, and move to the next OBJ and rinse and repeat. I treat them like checkpoints on my journey throughout the map, and I rarely feel pressed for ammo.

That in particular doesn't seem too bad, but good god these easter eggs you have to do beforehand. What a fucking rigmarole
Raidyr's guide to the Battlefield V alpha: A) Choose support (wait hold on don't go) B) Walk around until some poor bastard drops his G43, or appropriate it from an enemy C) Hole up in one of the C buildings and start defending ze vaterland. D) Calmly hum Erika as panzershreck and tank rounds slowly disassemble your house and fall back to the next one to repeat the process. E) (Optional) use the green meatbag untermensch that deign to spawn on you as meatbags. Just be sure to give them ammo every once in awhile.
reminds me of the scavenger hunt bullshit with the dogtags but somehow worse.
"But first you have to do the other easter egg parts" ugghggg fuck off. They were intentionally terrible and obtuse in BF1, and you didn't really get anything interesting out of it until now. Remember Hardline? Which had great secrets and special weapons? No? Anyone?
4 did it best for the most part (bar the bow). you clicked a button in battlelog, type in a password, you got a challenge. None of this deciphering the Da Vinci code while juggling 5 grenades and having 4 friends to spread out across the map and give each other mile long circle jerks to unlock a dogtag.
Not gonna lie this is genius. The MG34 can work though, if you adopt a different playstyle, but the bren gun is outclassed by everything, except at longer ranges against Erma (lol who even uses this) and MP40.
I honestly love the convoluted as shit Easter eggs as it's really fucking entertaining to see how much ridiculous autism goes into completing them. Won't deny it's p retarded to lock weapons behind them though as iirc the Peacemaker is the only revolver that can 1HSK atm
If you think getting those easter eggs is hard, you guys forgot about what you had to do to get the DICE camo in BF4. In comparison the BF1 ones are a cakewalk.
i did that shit, after doing it twice in a row i had it down to a science and helped other people with it (for a little compensation ofc)
Also found a bug with the bolt mode on the general. If you do any action that puts the gun off screen when pulling the bolt back, it causes the camera to spin extremely fast when he pulls the gun back up to charge it. Also doing a bayo charge right before the camera spins sends your fov to 400 and makes it look like you are hitting warp speed.
You can take guns without taking the entire kit now?
Yes. Actually, I'm surprised people aren't freaking out that such a core feature is being removed.
Yeah, i went to do the old medic swap to save someone and just picked up the gun. Threw me off completely.
Personally I never liked taking an entire kit when I grabbed a gun. Mostly because I wanted to ditch the LMGs as support and use a gun I liked.
Destruction and by extension the panzershrek are pathetic. Buildings can take so much damage and not fall, while the panzer can't even blow a hole in a wall.
How can an anti-tank weapon not blow up a brick wall? That's fuckin' dumb.
I don't mean to be anal about things but you mean the panzerfaust, right? I really don't think it can blow massive holes in walls IRL. As for the buildings themselves, I wish you could destroy the center piece (basicly the staircase) but I don't think you can. We can fortify now, why not let us level the building completely?
Strickly speaking, the panzerfaust is an AT weapon, it doesn't have a high explosive warhead. Gameplay-wise though you're right?
Yeah that's correct
I haven't played the game yet, but it looks like you can indeed do that? https://youtu.be/wOLvdPt4ezs
I'm so on the fence for V. I want it to be amazing. I really, really do.
The one thing I'd with they would do is make Frostbite cooperate with i5's again. I ran BF1 on a mix of high and medium settings just fine at launch and now both it and BFV run like total ass.
It just depends on how they tweak it when the beta drops for me, right now everything is up in the air for the direction they're going. A lot of the new changes seemed great on paper but I'm not so sure anymore
I tested destruction and fortifcations on a mostly empty server. Panzerfausts should be able to blow holes in every surface but there are some already-destroyed structures that can't be destroyed, ala BF1. Total destruction is very similar to how it worked in BF1, with single-story structures being able to be mostly wiped out except the foundation, and multi-story buildings leaving behind an indestructable core. Tanks can bulldoze right through single story structures if they want to. As for fortifications, mostly what you see is what you get. Engineer sublcass of support (which includes both archetypes as far as I can tell) can build them noticeably faster and can also build stuff like tanktraps. I took some screenshots of a normal structure and then destroyed and fortified as much as possible. Potato graphics warning. Interestingly, supply stations for ammo and health can be destroyed (even ran over by vehicles) but you can still interact with the HUD marker to resupply. Not sure if this is a bug or a feature of being on an empty server to facilitate testing.
